Isabella was the original Machine! One of their early band names was Florence Robot / Isa Machine (when it was just the two of them). Then they changed it to Florence + the Machine. Another one of their names were Florrible and Misrabella, which actually has an EP!!

You've got to react to all her albums. They are all masterpieces on their own.

the way she performs the songs off this album ive seen videos where she is just spinning and holing her arms out during the immense instrumentals ugh this album is better than therapy! I recommend listening to it in headphones at max volume when you are walking in the rain, no umbrella

Fun facts about Storms & Saints, my favorite song. This song almost didn't make the album. Florence felt uneasy about what the song meant and how she had stripped every instrument down. The song is loosely inspired by a poem called Letters to Frida. The line "you had to have him, and so you did" is inspired by the poem. Note: before reacting to High as Hope, react to the whole Odyssey no cuts.

Hear me out, the lyrical storytelling in Queen Of Peace is just so beautiful, it’s like a myth, the king who went mad when his son was lost in battle and the daughter who stepped up when she was too young, ithe imagery in that song and the feeling when you just shout/scream/sing the chorus, so theraputic!

Yessss, I was so waiting for thisss!! St. Jude is the patron saint of the lost causes and was also a hurricane that hit Europe in 2010-ish. I believe the song is about the storm confining Florence and her partner in a room and forcing them to confront each other, making her realise that their relationship was over. It's such a beautiful song and this album as a whole is a masterpiece. I really don't remember listening to an album that had this kind of impact on me. If you really like her, you should listen do High as Hope, which is her most recent work. It is more stripped-down, but beautiful still. Great video!

HBHBHB is my favourite track on this album. What kind of man, mother, Queen of peace and deluxe track Which witch are probably my top 5. Got to see Florence on this tour and became a big fan of the band. Adore Florence's latest 3 albums, Ceremonials, HBHBHB and High as hope - the latest one if different from the previous albums, there is some real mastery and control that it stands out to the rest for me and is my most revisited album so highly recommend trying it ^_^ As before, couple of great demo/bonus tracks for this album that are worthwhile checking out in your own time :P

@@bennshouts hahahaha, tecnically and musically HBHBHB is the superior one, her Magnus Opus, but High as Hope is so different bc it's so raw, so sober, pure and honest. No metaphores, no tales; almost like sung poems. Also High as Hope is her only album where she stopped smoking, drinking and taking drUgS.

HBHBHB is kind of what she thinks of love as being and the sounds at the end of the title track are the sound of love as she hears it, a big triumphal brass band.

Just saw F+TM for the opening Dance Fever tour concert in Montreal! Do not ever miss the opportunity to see them live. The music is absolutely incredible, better than the studio albums!
