Great video as always
Why are you hating on 70's cars? I like them and the 455 Olds Rocket motor were great engines, I had a couple of 70's Delta 88's one with the 455 and one with the 350 Rocket.... they were throaty sounding motors that ran forever.
I’ve always wanted to start a dealership for years I turn 25 on the 30th. I think this is the year to make it happen. What you do is what I dream about doing. Can’t do the hourly anymore 😮💨
The original price of that corolla in 1989 was anywhere from $9,000 to $11,500. 10 grand in 1989 is about 22-23 grand buying power today. So in essence it lost 50 percent in 30 plus years, which is short of amazing. I blame Scotty for these toyota prices lol.
Greater Atlanta Auto Auction is having our end of summer sale this Wednesday. We will have some special cars. It is in person and online.
That Olds? A friend has one in his junkyard here in NC; even a W-30 package car. The engine is there, but I snagged the hood & cut the louvered/vent set up (as well as the under hood structure) to graft onto my Valiant hood.
Thats Funny you mention learning to drive on a Toyota Corolla. I learned on the same car 5 speed manual just red. I drove it to Mass in a huge snowstorm back in the early 90s. 😂
great stuff thanks
My brother bought the same color 06 six speed Maxima in Chicago 2 yrs ago for $3k private party. Super clean but a money pit. Only 115k miles. Replaced clutch and much more. Another $5-6k in repair besides purchase price
You're getting your General Motors liters mixed up Craig. The '6.6 liter' was the 403 cubic-inch Olds V8 that was put into a lot of stuff in the 70's..... The 455's from Olds, Buick and Pontiac were stated as 7.4 liters (actually 7.45....)
Watch your shows everday
98 Ram Cummins is the 1st yr of the 53 block. They've been known to crack at the freeze plugs.

Had zero rust, probably never driven in cold…in NY that truck would rust out in 4 years, I had one brand new, I own a detail shop and even waxing and washing it all the time it looked like Swiss cheese in 4 years. I sold it after 3 years.
The accord wagon all day! some Vermont granola cruncher will pay top dollar!
want to learn more about the expedition EL. And when you list your cars, could you post some pictures of the undercarriage?
You are right about not buying Nissans. Mine exploded last month after years of stalling out and mechanics failing to fix it. Went up in a huge fireball of flames on the highway. I shut down rush hour traffic
That Jeep was definitely an off-road jeep. It’s got a Cb radio set up. More than likely it use to be lifted with wheels and tires and the owner took it all off to trade it in
Nissan Titan with the Cummins are lemons. Worked in the service department and seen our share of problems with these trucks.
I thought you stopped making these videos. I started watching to see if it possible.
I couldn’t stop laughing at the 427 corvette with a 350. Lol. I hope no one bought it thinking it was an actual 427.
That jeep looks like a nightmare for electrical troubleshooting
My guy Mike auctioning off that corvette

did he put those 427 stickers on? If so time for you to get rid of him........
nice old cars at that auction 70s and 80s had best desigbs
The jeep had a bad ass streo system. Buy some cheap amps and watch people go nuts
can't wait for the jeep video
Craig, I'm at least impressed u immediately know the diff between a real M car. Vs and M appearance car. Thats what I can these types of cars. Although its still a 440 which is an amazing sexy car. The problem is, ur at the end of the season for people looking for something like that.
Just curious what did that older ram Cummings sell for that truck was clean.
As of 1970 the Corvette big block was a 454
Eek that titan looks like it was a rental previously
Craig, you buy a lot of Wranglers. Do people want automatics or manuals?
89 corolla, boring AF but take care of it and it'll last forever....perfect college car for someone..... Edit: the way you're talking corrolla went for $3500.......8900? OMG....that's insane. I looked at a corolla SR5 around that time and it was selling for $9800 cdn.
2nd gens with that mileage that’s actually clean you just put a price on it there’s no number to high at this point with them
Need to figure out a way to put subtitles on the screen when editing your commentary when you’re at auction; can’t hear or understand anything you said
Greg I know this might be a little more work for the editor but can u subtitle the words when you're at the auction we can't hear u speaking. please like comment
that F250 is a $60,000 truck up here in Canada......they want $53K cdn for an XLT.....it'd sell in 3 days at $60,000 cdn. (That's 48K usd)
Yes
I LOVE THAT HONDA!!!
Corolla sold for $5250 but is worth only $4000 previous high comp? Can't wait to hear!
Maybe when ur going thru lot at beginning would be awesome if you went bk and put how much it sold for on screen
I'm a ford man but that old cummins was clean.
Not fan of Jeeps, but that Wrangler is actually really cool
Still to this day, That Oldsmobile is built better then most vehicles today except for vans & trucks being a cab on frame, v8 vehicles! I'd rather that then a fwd 4 cylinder pile of ---- yet, your interested in a 2.2ltr eco-tec where the transmissions are known to fail @ 160-180k & they have a interference engine though, the timing chains are easy to change on a 2.2 eco-tec!!!!!
@mph5896
Жыл бұрын
Those old 70's cars, engines were worn out by 100k. 160-180k today is a decent life for an engine.
There is something about the Hurst/Olds I like
Craig this is out of topic, but why do you use the period instead of the comma in dollar amounts?
Hey dude, I have a question about insurance. You buy a car but let them sit at one place, do you have insurance for like 1 day or a whole month because where I live you cannot ride without insurance
that hurst olds will be a 100.000$ car in the next ten years. Anything from the mid 70's era, aspen r/t's , 74-80 cameros, etc. is going to be the next generation of collectables for muscle car guys. I can remember buying my first 71 charger for $2500, now can't find a wrecked one for under 30,000, 100,000 for a good one. Yeah that toyota is a treasure? well it should be buried in a hole and never seen again for sure. The 80's were just a sad time for the automotive industry with a few exceptions.
That type of Olds Hurst is actually going for a nice little bit right now
Those 70s cars are awesome. What brand shades are those?

thank you for calling out the dumb headlights in that all original Buick
Dang !! I thought $7900.00 .. Wow.. I missed that one !
Yeah, Nissans and Infinitis with automatics, NOT CVTs, or manuals are great cars. An 04 has an auto, not a CVT. An 09 has a CVT. Most of the other 2000s and 2010s Nissans have CVTs.
@shottie26
Жыл бұрын
Sorry I have to disagree.. not all nissans are bad I have a 04, 06, 13 and 17 all of them never gave me any problems 3 have cvt. I will say the muranos and rogue are the problems. Altima maxima and titans have been great for me.
@alexflosho
Жыл бұрын
@@shottie26 I'm not saying that the CVTs are bad, I'm saying that the Nissans without a CVT are great in terms of reliability and comfort etc. The CVTs are generally less reliable than the autos and that's because you need to replace the tranny fluid about every 30-50k miles on the CVT cars.
May want to tone down the graphics and music a bit. IMHO. I found you and have kept watching because of you and your people, your style, your humor, your knowledge and your humility. Adding bass and lots of noises doesn't add a lot for me, but what do I know? Much love ❤️

@15:50... That Maxima does not have the same transmission as the 350Z. The Z is RWD, the Maxima is FWD. The engine is also different.

89 Corolla indeed. My brother had one original everything he did a head gasket when he got it for $250 at 300k miles he wreaked it with 525k miles still rolling goo.

Craig, you want a bus? So you could form a group like Charles Manson or 60s hippies?
crazy price for 89 coroola- my 86 daytona was 10295 new
Traded my Ferrari for a Viper I have a 94 Dodge dually Cummins , must fix killer dawl pin
Pointless to do the intro for ferrari flip every single time. We already know. Most of the people who are watching have probably seen more than one of those flip series, so it's like your explaining to us what this ferrari flip series is for the 100th of time :D

I want a 12v Cummins so bad. But I need a manual
Good job at the auction Craig. Very informative. The whole process of evaluating and letting us see the buying process and car value is entertaining. Keep it up.
I will buying that shirt asap
Welll gal-dangit,,89 freak'n toyota corolla really brang back some memories from when i was ah teen startn to drive and 1day pickn my gf up from her job @McDonald's,and i was with what is now my kids mom,and i had ah 40ounce of miller on my lap and somehow i hit a big ass tree goin over 35/40mph and then climbed out my window and ran with ah busted up knee that got stuck in the dash...ahhhhh good ol teenager dumb choices!😏 also that little toyota was quick af because it was so light and small,it was a good car for that time period for sure👍👍
A bmw hybrid at the auction with an accident. What could go wrong?
Wholesale are the best Deals, because you not need give any Warranty...🤣👍
What's your opinion on Nissan Armadas?
You had a camaro in the Series a 2011 or 2012 V6 😂
All those accessories may not increase the value at all. If I was a buyer, I'd want pretty much all the aftermarket electrical gone.
The cd009 only comes in rwd nissans. Lol
The Chevy cavalier is crazy 😭😭

Its a 30 year old car, n it was a cheap ass car back then. There is no way its worth even a quarter of what it sold for. I agree. They are not built like that anymore, but if you factor in safety and what you CAN actually pick up for 10k, you'd be very suprised to find, that u can get a safer car that will probably last as long as this will. At this point, the seals have to be getting bad. Integral parts of the engine, who knows. Trans, who knows. Its a total crap shoot If you knew the entire history, that maybe different. It was actually being used this entire time, just lightly and well taken care of? Maybe.
Hi Craig
6.6 is the 400. 455 is 7.4 liter.
Yeah I'm interested in knowing what is going on the jeep wranglers world
That jeep is amazing if you can hide all the cords I think you definitely got an amazing deal I don't really see your other location much must be hard running both of them Shorthanded your definitely an inspiration

Craig as a retired (semi) 9ndependent dealer Im always surprised by how little attention you pay to the mechanical issues and since up north the undercarriage of the cars you buy. Im assuming you must do that off camera. Wouldn't it be worth you time to buy at auctions on Texas or Arizona even though there is buying pressure there.?

Can most time add a couple grand on top of purchase price just for transport out west to here in NH, and most times people don't put close to that into refreshing a used car only to resell. Maybe if your rich perhaps being well off guess money wouldn't matter as much

The W30 Olds 455 was a 7.5l. The 6.6l olds that was put in trans ams was the olds 403. Just FYI.
The Trans Am of late 70s used an OLDS 403 engine mated to an automatic.while the manual still used the poncho 400. So whether the Pontiac 400 or Olds 403 the shaker scoop would still read 6.6l. By 1975 w30 package was the box you checked off to get the "hurst" edition Cutlass which included the olds 455 engine, hurst t- top, badging and whatever else
@bennettsautorecoveryandsal8116

The 400 Pontiacs actually had T/A 6.6 on the scoop while the Olds 403 equipped Trans Am's said 6.6L. The 455 was 7.5L

That is an airport transit bus.
A FWD and RWD car uses the same trans?
