Ойын-сауық

Visit www.fishtemagami.com to find the lures mentioned in the show.
I visit Bay-Lee-Mac Camp and portage into Cliff Lake with Roger for some northern pike action. Located in the Cliff Lake Conservation Reserve, we were treated to a great view and a good afternoon of fishing in the late fall.

A fall trip to Cliff Lake for pike, yielding some nice size pike, beautiful scenery, and a gorgeous fall afternoon on the water.

nice... seems like you have a good thing going here and it looked like there could be some 20-30 pound monsters cruisin' around in that lake looking at the size of the 2 you caught

Yes, all of our first season episodes (1-10) will be from footage taken in 2011. Since we're just a small video production company, it's taking us a while to get things all cut and edited between our day job duties. We have been getting some footage this year too, and look forward to starting to release it to everyone sometime late 2012 or early 2013.

Have wanted to fish the Region for a year or so now. This Fishing Destination seems to be affordable and close by. Have been considering Marten River or Lady Evelyn for Pike but I am in need of spending less then 500$ for 2 days and dont care to much for comfortable accommodation this place looks like a good option.

You'll find Roger and Krystal very friendly folks to deal with. They'll be back at the camp in the spring for calling, or you can contact by email at bayleemaccamp@ontera.net - Hope you get into some of these beauties.

The people to contact about that would be Roger and Krystal at Bay Lee Mac Camp - you can email them at bayleemaccamp@ontera.net - They have a boat in there and Roger does some guiding, but I am unsure of what they are charging for a trip in.

New set of plugs, maybe a carburetor cleaning? I wouldn't run regular gasoline through any small engine either with the ethanol - really mucks up your carb.

Fish Temagami Yep, did all that save for the plugs. Never run regular fuel in anything (boat motor, lawn mower, snowmobile, snowblower) except for the car. They only made these motors for a few years. Wondered if this is just an issue they have...

I had a 4hp Sea Horse many years ago, but it's long gone now. This particular motor was Roger's that he had at the back lake. Most of my experience now is with Yamaha 8hp (2 and 4 stroke) and 9.9 high thrust four stroke engines. I just remember the old Johnsons used to eat the plugs pretty bad and the mixed fuel tended to foul them pretty fast if you were just trolling a lot. A fouled plug made for hard starting.

Fish Temagami I went to Lake Temagami last summer and the majority of the lake is quite deep, what set up do you recommend for deep water fishing? (30 ft and deeper)

Well, usually the only thing you need to go really deep for are Lake Trout. My usual setup for that is a downrigger and 'Christmas Tree' or 'Hammer' with 3-5 leafs for attracting them and a trailing minnow following the lure about 12-18" behind. A couple years ago we had good luck using just a dipsy diver to bring a smaller hammer down to the right depth, since the trout remained fairly high (40-60') even in late July. Typically in mid-summer they are between 60--80 feet. If those rigs are too expensive, jigs work well too - but having a depth finder that is sensitive enough to find the baitfish is handy at the very least so you know where to target them. We tried jigs one episode (still needs to be cut) and found we targeted too deep guessing they'd be low due to the hot, sunny, calm day, but they were actually up in the 60' range or higher, which was easier to find once we had a good graph to find them.
