As many have mentioned, the movies progressively get darker and the story evolves beautifully. One of the best series ever for a reason

I don’t understand why people say this. The first two movies are the best ones in the series! And built the entire train that we call the “wizarding world” that the other films just rode on the back of. I think the first films, despite them being catered to a younger crowd, deserve a little more respect. There’s something for everyone, mysterious, dark but yet fun upbeat and magical. The other films lack everything except being dark and serious. That charm and magic feel is lost in the later movies

I do understand. I have noticed that adults watching these movies for the first time, tend to feel like the first two really are meant for kids. Whilst having a good storyline and an overall interesting world, they feel like the series is childish and therefore less appealing to adults. That is why fans will tell them to definitely get to movie 3,where things do get darker and more 'adult'. Growing up with the series is completely different, for a long time when I was younger, Chamber of Secrets was my favourite movie. But being older now, I lean more into Order of the Phoenix being my fav. Just different opinion between being a child and being an adult😊

@fabreezo Because. He’s Columbus actually read the books. The other directors for 3 4 5 6 7 and 8 couldn’t be bothered which is why they are so many inaccuracies in the movies

A little something mentioned in the book: when Hagrid gave Dudley that pig tail, he was actually trying to turn him into a pig but Dudley was already so pig-like in appearance (in the novels) that the spell only gave him the tail. 🐖😆 And yes, Harry is supposed to greatly resemble his father, but he has his mother, Lily's, eyes; because of his resemblance to his father, as soon as he arrives at Hogwarts, Professor Snape automatically dislikes him.

The fun thing with this series of movies is the kids grow up with us, and as they get older the story (and the language in the books) adjust to their age. A bit unique and fascinating, imo. Apparently, to get the vomit flavored one, they simply replicated a bad New York pizza they'd had one time. haha

The candles weren’t CGI but real. They had problems with wax dripping on everyone and the lines they were hung by burning through.

Well, they originally used real candles suspended from tungsten wires, which would then be edited out in post-production. However, during the initial days of filming, the candles burned through their wires and fell onto the tables, posing a safety risk for the actors. As a result, the filmmakers switched to a digital effect to create the floating candles.

Hey there!

Harry Potter was orphaned on Halloween the year I was born when he was exactly 15 moths old. Then he was with his Aunt living under the stairs for 9 3/4 years before going to Hogwarts to learn what he really is!

Will you stop? They’ve seen your comments, which means they’re probably already working on it, or they can’t. They’re in Algeria, it’s probably not easy or cheap to get wireless headphones, so they could use two. And if they’re watching off a laptop which I believe they are, they can only use one.
