I have seen this many times. It never gets old. It was fun to see your reactions to it. Her whole life Jenny was running away from what her father did to her. Forrest was unable to understand what really happened to her, even though he knew something happened to her. His devotion for her was beyond what many are willing to give.

Jenny couldn't tell him sooner about his son because he was off running across the country. as soon as he was done then she contacted him. Jenny was severely traumatized. she was the one who didnt know what love was because where you are taught what it is, is from parents and her mom died and dad abused her, so that's what she was used to and that's what she thought love was.

I enjoyed rewatching this movie for the first time through your eyes. So many lessons to learn from this movie: -Forrest always did what he thought was right with no selfish thoughts about how it might benefit him. -Forrest was not very smart, but he showed that a person can still succeed in life by having a positive attitude and being loyal to the people you care about. -He also saw something positive in everyone he met. Even if the other person had a poor opinion of his/her self.

I know I keep making suggestions, which I'm sure you received a ton of. But I remembered something you said on a previous video, that your faith says all people are equal (and that slavery is wrong)- and Christianity does, too. I just saw a film I think you would find interesting. It's called Harriet. It's about a real woman, who was born a slave in the American south, who ran north to freedom- and then went back many, many times to lead others to freedom.@@HABIBIBROTHERS717 Sorry for the rambling.

The stack of letters that Forrest got in the hospital were letters that he wrote to Jenny, that were returned to Forrest. Which probably means she left home and likely her grandma died. A grandma would have held onto them for her.

    1. The music rights alone must have cost a small fortune💲💲 2. Kurt Russell did the voice for Elvis. 3. IRL Sally Fields is only 10 years older than Tom Hanks. 4. Having gotten his degree Forrest would have gone into the Army as an officer like Lt. Dan. Not a recruit. His ASVAB kills that. 5. He actually saved Lt Dan twice. Once in the field and again to get him out of his post war funk and Dan turned his life around. 6. Normally an enlisted Army person would be fully aware of his/her separation date. 5. Jenny did indeed give him the best gift ever (it wasn't the shoes)😋 8. Jenny died of Hep-C from dirty needles when she was in Caliphony.. 9. It's ironic that Lt. Dan told the guys to take care of their feet because he loses his. 10. At the rally Forrest says, "Sometimes when people go to Vietnam, they go home to their mommas without any legs. Sometimes they don't go home at all. That's a bad thing. That's all I have to say about that." 11. You have had a ride through recent US history and culture. From Elvis, John Lennon, Abby Hoffman to Vietnam and Watergate. Even the jogging craze of the 70's. About the only thing left out was streaking. 13. "Sometimes I guess there're just aren't enough rocks" 14. Haley Joel Osmentt/Forrest Jr. steals the show in "The Sixth Sense" with Bruce Willis. 15. Often when he's finishing a segment about death, he ends it by saying "That's all I have to say about that" 16 Keep in mind if Jenny wasn't wasting her life seeking men like her father and was with Forrest he/we wouldn't have had this incredible journey. If you haven't already, you must do Tom Hanks in the GOAT "The Green Mile". Stephen King adaptation. You WILL cry.😭

Thus movie hits you in your feels. I saw it many years ago, and it really got me this time. An emotional Rollercoaster. Forrest probably had some kind of Autism. Now, they call people on the spectrum "Neuro-divergent". Our brains work differently from other people. Before the condition was understood, this population was shunned, laughed at or ignored. His heart was pure and he forgave others ' ignorance. We should not judge Jenny harshly. Childhood abuse is a trauma most don't recover from. Forgiveness is love. Great reaction to a great film. You must think us Americans are insane! I saw how much you both enjoyed it. Free Palestine.

I've watched many reactors do this movie and most, not all, but most of them get the scene where Forest gets that stack of letters wrong. At first, I thought they just weren't paying attention but I'm starting to believe maybe I'M not paying attention. Let me ask you all something. When's the last time you wrote an actual letter on an actual piece of paper, put it into an envelope, stamped it and deposited it into an actual physical mailbox? Hmm? I'm betting for most people, it's been years and for these newer generations, probably NEVER lol. Am I right? I know I haven't actually written a letter to someone in a very very long time. I'm like all of you. I EMAIL everything. No envelope. No stamp. No mailbox and no involvement of the postal service. With this in my mind, I want to explain those letters. That stack of letters Forest got in the hospital for his million dollar wound were ALL the letters HE had sent to Jenny. She never received any of them and they ALL got sent BACK to Forest. lmao Anyway, great reaction. This movie is iconic. Tom Hanks is an amazing actor.

(smiles) "time to die"/ " - Blade Runner (original 1980's version, Director Ridley Scott) One of my favorite all time movie scenes. Another favorite 1980's movie of mine is a movie called "Legend" with Tom Cruise, and Mia Sara who played Lily (she also played Sloane in the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" also a 1980's favorite movie of mine) Legend was also directed by Ridley Scott, & lest us not forget he directed the original "Alien" movie starring Sigourney Weaver. All of the movies I mention in my comments I have in my DVD library. Although it does make me sad to know I could have helped someone that's hungry instead of buying movies.
