If you have over sixty number one you'd be a fool not to go sing with him he's icon and you know they only invite the best-of-the-best to sing with him I would say it's an honor to sing with him

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the revolving stage. It's actually going on now in Houston Texas! George is a legend and a genuine gentleman and a cowboy. He does prefer life out of the spotlight but thankfully he blessed us with his music. Chery also did a duet with Kid Rock. You may want to check that out.

Had a friend use to tell her kids when listening to George Strait, that he was their dad.

First time here. i always have to watch anything that includes The King of Country and one of my first crushes! George absolutely is everything you were trying to describe him to be. You may want to check out his 1992 movie, Pure Country with Isabel Glasser and Lesley Ann Warren. George made it clear to the director that he would NOT do a kissing scene. He said that the only woman he kissed was his wife. i've adored him since i heard his first single, "Unwound" way back in '81. After hearing him sing, that he was a real, actual cowboy as well as a dreamboat was all it took for the horse crazy pre-teen cowgirl that i was! 🐎 So glad that i came across your channel. i'll definitely be back! 💙☘️🥀

Hey... wonderful! :) I didn't know this duet! 😀 Sheryl also did some great duets with Willie Nelson! :) And Johnny Cash recorded Sheryl's "Redemtion Day"... Many years later, Sheryl did a Re-Mix of that recording, including her own voice. So wonderful! :)

Do yourself a favor and watch George's movie PURE COUNTRY. He is not an actor by trade and I feel that his true person vibe shines in this movie. At least a close glimpse of the real George.

Best story I heard about George, is while filming his movie “Prue Country” out of respect for his wife, he would not kiss the actress playing his love interest. He just hugged her at the end.

George Strait is a real class act. He was in the Army as a young man and is a big supporter of Veterans. A few years ago he partnered with a veterans charity and has given away over 100 homes to wounded vets plus has donated something like $350 Million dollars of his own money.

Great choice. Country duets are awesome even though Sheryl isn’t a country artist. Sometimes it’s the crossover aspect that makes it even more special. Since you’re delving into country on a fairly regular basis, you really need to dive into Alabama - 40 number ones and a bunch of Entertainer Of The Year awards. Try Mountain Music, Tennessee River, If You’re Gonna Play In Texas, High Cotton to name a few, but with that many huge hits you can’t pick wrong.

I love watching you as you discover country music. It is what I grew up with and it is exciting to finally see others appreciating it when in the past, use d to make fun of it. Check out BARBARA MANDRELL - "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool." Featuring George Jones. She was one of my first concerts. Also JOHNNY LEE has a TON of amazing songs (another one of my first concerts). Maybe start with his "Cherokee Fiddle" song

There is a pitch corrector on their vocals, and I don't blame them! People come to hear an in-tune performance. You can listen to other concerts where he isn't using pitch correction, he still sounds GREAT, but he definitely goes flat here and there. These vocals were perfect, and that is almost impossible.
