I absolutely agree with you. Angelina's version of this song is better than Adele's and I absolutely love adele but angelina killed this when I 1st saw this I knew immediately. And I asked the same question does Adele know about Angelina And the power of her voice and she does her songs better than Adele not all songs by the majority. I hope they collaborate together that would be totally awesome❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I remember back when Angelina covered A Million Years Ago when she was 12, someone wrote a comment that they saw an interview where Adele said she was honored that Angelina sang her songs. I never saw the interview & don't know if it's true, but if it is, it says a lot about Adele. Since then Angelina has covered more Adele songs, so I have now doubt that she knows about Angelina by now.

The astonishing fact is that only AJ can take a song and make it her own on each and every performance that is so very much better than the original hit. She is a force like no other in the universe, live long and prosper AJ, we must have more.

Missy, I just happened to turn on your station for the first time and I didn't know what to expect. I was impressed by how charming you are and without much fanfare you went straight into the music of an artist you were presenting to us. It was a young lady who I had no idea who she was. Something strange happened to me. Upon listening to the first couple of notes she sang I became mesmerized to such a degree I actually stopped blinking my eyes. I felt all kinds of things going on inside my chest cavity and then I realized what had just happened. I fell in love. Incredible as it may seem, it was the truth. As the video continued, even though your interruptions were many and had thoughtful words about her performance (of which I didn't pay any attention to because I was fixed on watching her and listening to her sing, it seemed like, directly to me), suddenly my thought process stopped, it shut down completely and it was only her and I and the sound of music joining us together as one.....The song ended. Too soon, of course. My computer automatically went into mute stage and all I did was stare at the computer for a few moments. My brain was still not working the way it should have been. Finally I got the strength to get out of my chair and walk around a bit. I knew I would be coming back to my computer very soon but I needed time to gather myself. Did I just experience an event which, to me, seemed like a miracle? Did I enter another dimension? I had a cup of coffee and slowly I started to come out of my trance. What was I going to do today? What did I just do earlier today? Tough questions. Couldn't answer them. So, I literally tiptoed back to the computer, sat down in the chair, got a pen and a blank sheet of paper and looked at the frozen screen for a moment and then hit the 'arrow thing' which would bring me back to the last thing I heard. Oh my, I got a chill! PLEASE BE THERE! I had no idea what station I was listening to and who the young singer was. And then, presto, there was the charming lady again on the screen. It was the same video. THANK GOD! I clicked my browser on the screen to pause the video. Okay, I said to myself, get you head straight. You have to write down some important information. I saw data on the screen about who was hosting the video, who the singer was, what was the name of the song and some other stuff. I then re-hit the browser and the video started up again. Angelina Jordan (so many questions I need to get answers to) started singing and, it happened again, off I went to somewhere (I don't know where!) and she took me with her to a place so peaceful and beautiful, it was as if every time I was going to listen to her it would be like the miracle returns each time. Well, my friends, years have gone by and I still feel the same way. I have listened to her sing hundreds of songs and I have found out what a wonderful person she is and I didn't realize it at first but she has inspired me to be a kinder, more caring and loving person then ever before in my life. What has happened to me is I know is what is going to happen to millions of people around the world who will be discovering her in 2023 and 2024. She is truly a Messenger of Love. Some people will react the way I did, instantly, while others it may take a while longer because rather than feel her love they are confused and the door to their hearts were closed. Well, I have news for them. It will happen because their hearts will 'take over' and receive her love. Yes, they will probably start to cry uncontrollably but it will be a moment in their lives they will never forget and their lives will change. Each person has a different history, particular feelings concerning themselves and people around them they coexist with and they will begin, in time, to see love become an essential part of everything they do and will always remember the moment their lives changed.

Incredible comments Robert. There are so many of her songs where I go into a comatose state when she delivers her unbelievable emotions and sucks me into her world. However, this song, “I Put a Spell on You”, “You Say”, “Million Miles” and “I Am Holding Out for You” are the ones that really drive deep into my sole. Who am I kidding, almost everything she sings brings me into her world and I am so grateful for it! Sometimes it is just too difficult to explain to people why I listen to her every day. OMG, I adore this artist.

Hello Robert, I can relate to your story as I too had my moment of awareness to What Did I Just Hear? Without knowing who she was and thankfully I was able to search my history and found her “Angelina Jordan” I’ve got to find out more about her. That was almost 3 years ago and I can honestly say that since that day I have listened to this Barefoot Princess every single day without exception. It’s not a goal I’ve set for myself to listen to her every day. I’m 64 years old and never listened to anyone for 10 days in a row much less almost 3 years in a row. A lot of her fans will understand but there’s something more to Angelina and what she gifts you when you truly listen to her. It’s something I can’t explain. I know you understand Robert. @333 I've since found that out but it never influenced me because her name could have been any name at all and I would still believe she is a Messenger of Love.

Angelina has admired the music of Adele since age 5 (at least), and if Adele is still unawear of Angelina, I would wonder HOW?! Still, at this point in time I guess that should make Adele proud and honored, as she has this kind of impact on Angelina.

Angelina was asked during her 2021 online Christmas concert who she would like to meet and the top name she mentioned at that time was Adele - whether she has actually met Adele since that time we don't know - if so, it may have been a private meeting. On the other hand, there is a photo of Angelina and her Sister Juliette meeting Lana Del Rey. Angelina also met Shania Twain at a Grammy Awards afterparty.

I have stated many times that Angelina is the most patient singer that I have ever heard, not to mention the best female singer.

She must have done! but she aint sayin' s##t lol For real though, Adele is a great singer/songwriter, and has a powerful voice, but for me her voice sounds harsh and cold, Angelina on the other hand her voice is warm and full of emotional content. Angelina has sung quite a few of Adele's songs, and as far as I'm concerned they are her songs now! you kno' wat I mean? Not disin' Adele but when is a cover song better than the original? not that often, but nearly every cover AJ has put out is as good if not better than the original. I know Adele's fans will disagree with me and that's fine, but I was a lead singer in a band for 15 years, so I know how to sing, and AJ is one of the best female singers I have ever heard. Britt, your observations are spot on once again. Angelina ALWAYS “Open up lyrics - I think that’s partly why so many of her covers seem like totally new songs. The other thing you mentioned… Angelina’s penchant for slowing down music… OMG, she does that all the time. And it’s always appropriate, and it’s always beautiful. She sang her own song “Million Miles” in concert last summer and she slowed it down… her OWN song! And it was so emotionally moving. Thanks for another GREAT reaction. Britt, I know I'm not alone in saying I would love to hear a couple of full songs that you sing because you really do have an excellent voice and a superb sense of pitch and being able to duplicate things that these singers you are reacting to sing! Truly!

That truly is fantastic singing. The musicality and the emotion are so connected, with a modern yet old, sophisticated, understated feel. She makes it really easy to be a fan-boy.

Hi Britt. You're not the only one who rated Angelina better than Adele. I've heard many of your fellow reactors state so( cross my heart wish to die). You said this song belongs to Angelina, she owned it. I agree. Point beeing that no matter what she sings,once she sings it it's hers. In the past 10 years she has covered all the greats of the last 100 years, in any genre of music and,in my humble opinion, her performances were( I'm flying low) 99% better than the original. In the 1% are included the Whitney's piece she sang when she was 1and half and the one in her toy room(age5/6) with the toy guitar that:" It's not so good",as she said. Bye.🤩🤩🤩

When I first heard this one, it broke me. It literally left me sobbing. It was actually the second performance of hers to have had that effect on me. The first was also an Adele cover: "When We Were Young", live at Prøysenhuset in 2019 (which it looks like you haven't reacted to yet). I could give a long explanation of why I reacted so strongly to each performance, pointing to a lot of different "contributing factors", but the (somewhat) short version is this: As you already know, Angelina has wanted to be a "superstar" who could "sing for the whole world" since she was very, very young (at least 6, but I suspect even before then). Adele is exactly that kind of global superstar. And that Prøysenhuset performance just solidified in my mind (given my own preference of "subtlety" over "vocal pyrotechnics") that she was already, at 13, a better singer than Adele. Same with this performance at 15. Now, I don't know a great deal about Adele's life story - ISTM that her biggest problems have involved the maintenance of intimate relationships and vocal chord health. But when you look at all the artists Angelina has covered over the years, the track record with drugs, alcohol, and abuse is _not at all_ encouraging. And even though Angelina has seemed pretty darned "rock solid", personality-wise (maturity, intelligence, etc.), based on everything we've seen so far, you never know what's going to happen when she truly (legally) takes control of her life and career. So, anyway… that's basically, in a nutshell, why these two Adele covers hit me so hard. A lot of mixed feelings about where she is going and what she might find there…

This song, written by Adele, is nowhere near as incredible as the song that served as the impetus for this one. That would be one of the most incredible heartfelt ballad lyrics you could ever hope to find and that is 'Love Is A Losing Game' by Amy Winehouse. George Michael said it cemented Amy's genius at writing and he would perform it himself whenever he appeared in concerts. It should be noted that the song was part of Amy's Grammy winning album called 'Back To Black'. When Amy took the stage to receive her award, a young Adele could be seen in the audience cheering like a young school girl. You should listen on You Tube to 'Love Is A Losing Game - Lyric version - by Amy, for even the graphic art that run's along with the 'script' written lyrics as the song continues is amazing.

I am sure Adelle knows about Angelina. Angelina's covers on Adelle have been phenomenal. Angelina has a way of utilizing a longer vocal cord to harmonize, vocalize and strum the basic as well as the complex harmonics that hit on cue. Angelina utilizes a longer vocal cord to vocalize so many ranges that are beyond the ordinary range. Angelina can hit tonality perfection.......case in point Bohemian Rhapsody where her lead in to the introduction matched pitch perfect with the first guitar note. Also, Angelina's eyes are brown. Angelina masks her eyes as blue to further emphasize the need for helping children with needs. You see, the bare feet in concert helps to remind the need to help children with needs......but also....the little girl with the scale who weighed people, support her siblings, that little girl's eyes were blue. So where you view Angelina that does not show her bare feet......Angelina wears the blue enhanced contacts (on video) to constantly remind everyone of the need to help those children in need. Angelina is a true Angel and you, Britt, are an Angel as well for your honest and inspiring reactions to Angelina's videos.

When Adele had to cancel her performance in the US recently, I thought she could have asked Angelina to fill in for her.

In an interview acknowledged Angelina and said that her people and Angelina's people are working to do a duet.

From 4:12 through 4:24 she sings that phrase on ONE BREATH. Perhaps the 2nd longest I've seen her perform, breath-wise. She does a 16-second full belt in I'd Rather Go Blind, which is preceded by about an 8-second belt from a half breath then after that 16-second full belt, that is followed by about a 10 second belt, also from a half breath. ALL WHILE SITTING DOWN!!
