My absolute favorite live performance, period. I shake my head every time I watch this, finding it hard to believe that any band can be this perfect in a live show. Brian wrote this beauty about a girl in one of his college classes who he really liked but could never get up the nerve to ask her out. When he finally did, she was already with someone else. Thank you!!

Incredible fun fact: Brian wrote this song before Queen, the piano line was later added. Good stuff.

Queen, in their glam rock mythic fairy tale period. Brian, in a somber yet romantic mood, is the author of this song. Which doesn't stop from Freddie from performing it as if it were his baby. (He is so good at that. Giving every song his all). I guess I am not a hard rocker because I just love the eerie, haunting feeling to that guitar/piano duet in the middle. It's actually my favorite of Brian's guitar work in the early stuff. And I am more than miffed that the cameraman never bothered to turn to Brian at all during that part.

I was 4yrs old back then..now my sons listen to this and more..my nephew is 16 and autistic and has listened to Queen for about 5yrs..loves his vocals so much...

One of my favorites. Freddie and Brian make the piano and guitar dance. These 4 men created magic. Try Hyde Park 1976 : You take my breath away. Freddie Mercury hypnotized the crowd. ❤thanks.

Great choice. One of my favourite performances. The instrumental is different than the studio. The quality of this performance is due to it being a live broadcast on TV at the time. Their impeccable timing live is magnificent here.

Love of My Life, live in Rock in Rio, is amazing. 250,000 in attendance sing the song to Freddie and give Brian a special tribute.

Congratulations Trevor, you just experienced perfection times two!! From the masters themselves... yes, you could conceivably refer to them as "angels"... true talent... also, so unique... that was Queen... so enjoyed this.... thank you so much... blessings.

So imagine this with HELLA HARMONIES! This whole album (Queen2) is a studio MASTERPIECE! All of side 2 is almost continuous with the songs blending together, OMG Listen to it!!!

Winged Mercury

The song you didn't know you needed to hear. Good luck getting this one out of your head. It's a stunning testament to their musical abilities even as a young band 👑 nobody does it like Queen did. I would love to see you react to Stone Cold, it's very short but it was ahead of it's time.

This is one of my favorite. The performance as if it is done in studio but it was Live. The piano skill of Freddie is amazing. May I request to please react to 1. Love of my Life at Rock in Rio 85 2. Take my breath away and 3. Barcelona. Thank you for your great reaction:-) hope more Queen songs.

Fantastic performance!

Thanks, Trevor - one of their best showcases of the entire BAND.. Queen was not "Freddie & his back-up band" -- Brian wrote this one... and the interplay between guitar and keys is fantastic.. but can't ignore the drums & bass, either... I really like your reactions...

This was about a girl The White Queen who Brian was 'in love with' at school but he was too shy to approach her! He left it too late and he saw her with someone else.😢 PS. That is Freddie's 'Mercury' ( 'winged messenger) outfit. Stunning

which was made by designer Zandra Rhodes ( I think) , the wings represent Mercury the swift messenger, from Roman mythology...

Trevor the first 6 albums are all time classics, now u did White Queen, go to 2 the March of the black Queen and 3 the prophet song. U are not gonna believe it!,

This is musical perfection. Pl, check out In The Lap Of The Gods at Rainbow 74, but not the revisited one.

Watch some interview videos of Freddie and you will get a lot of your answers straight from him that you have wondered about. I don’t listen to anyone who wasn’t close to him.

If you think it was their live performence, i think you should listen to play the game live

If I have just one tiny quibble with this it's that we don't see enough of Brian, Roger and John, especially during the great instrumental. Other than that, just enjoy Freddie in all his glory!

Totally agree, they were all incredible during that instrumental section, camera should have panned to all of them but oh well, it didn’t take away from the performance, it was absolutely amazing!

That's because back then they only had one Main camera recording. And one at the side of the stage. So they stayed with Freddie. It wasn't intentional.
