FIRST TIME HEARING QUEEN “You Take My Breath Away” LIVE at Hyde Park | REACTION

Ойын-сауық

In this video I react to legendary rock band Queen perform live at Hyde Park 1976. For this song, Freddie Mercury sings solo at the piano in this stripped down live version without the band.

Freddie’s performance of this “not yet recorded” song was to woo that special someone who was in attendance at this concert! It’s stunning & beautiful yet you feel Freddie’s vulnerability! I love it .. and many a fan, including me, has wished that Freddie had performed it for them. The studio version is fantastic with all its layered harmonies! 🌷🕊️🦋

TYVM Trevor... only our Freddie could quiet a mob of thousands to hear a pin drop with one song, that hadn't even been recorded yet... speaking of, if you listen to the studio version of this song, you can experience yet again the classic sound of Queen's harmonies, so beautifully performed... blessings.

This was a brand new song and the band didn't know it yet so Freddie sang it with just his piano. There was a crowd of over 150,000 and the place was silent as Freddie sang this song. This is a stunningly beautiful performance. Freddie was a great singer and he could sing in whatever manner the song called for. Here because he was without a band, it called for a much more delicate quality and a more clear tone. His vibrato in this song is amazing. Thank you for reacting to this incredible song. The studio version of this song is beautiful also but much deeper musically because there are instruments other than the piano but this remains my favorite version and performance of this song.

oh yes, long - haired Freddie! (any of his early to mid 70s are my favorite era) - But this song is the man, his piano, and a song baring his heart & soul to the one he loves.

Terrific reaction to this song, Trevor. I knew you would like it and I’m so glad you did the reaction. A lot of people overlook this masterpiece. It is a song for the ages and I recommend it to friends. It shows that Freddie could do anything with his voice. In my opinion, he was the best male singer ever.

Yay Freddie was so vulnerable and hypnotizing. Such lost talent. ❤😢This man wrote and performed a duo opera album too! He could sing any style!

Freddie ensured us a small insight into his soul with one of the most beautiful love songs. The studio version with the Queen harmonies is amazing, but I prefer this very simple performance, just Freddie and his piano.

Trevor- Everything and anything that Freddie sings and performs is magnificent. He is a unique genius. There aren’t many, but Freddie is definitely one. These words are from Mike Moran. There is nothing Freddie can’t do with his vocals and his stage presence. He is a masterpiece! ❤️🔥🔥🔥

You should react to the Studio version of that song on the "Day At The Races" record. What he does with the harmonies is just Next Level stuff. I think the studio recording is by far the finest , example of his genius as a composer, and producer. The Day at the Races record got a famous comment from a British News man who had recently not many good things to say about The band. His quote was placed on the inside of the original record Jacket and in a few words summed up his feelings about that record. . It read simply : " Sheer Bloody Poetry"

Glad you checked out this song, it's beautiful. Freddie never totally lost that voice, he just changed his style, you can check out more of his voice in his solo work at the opera (1987-1989) and especially in "Exercices in free love", it's chilling, I highly recommend a reaction. When Montserrat (the most famous soprano opera singer of the time) met Freddie she soon realized that he was a baritone who could easily control his voice to sound like a bass (as in his rock voice) or hit the notes of a tenor, and suggested that they work together on an album called "Barcelona", which is beautiful by the way. I also recommend a reaction to "Is this the word we created" live at the end of Live AID, another very beautiful song composed by Freddie and Brian ❤
