First Service of the Native Watercraft Propel Drive | Native Titan

Спорт

I was hesitant to service the propel drive, but it really wasn't all that hard at all. I hope this video helps other Native Titan owners who are looking to service the propel drive themselves. In my service I also dealt with the locking nut that had backed off the upper part of the drive mechanism. You should also check out Mobbin Outdoors, he has an awesome maintenance video as well. #NativeWatercraft #KayakFishing #KayakBassFishing

Hi Kate, Thank you for such an instructional video for servicing the drive. You did a great job. One comment that I will provide is please remember that a torque wrench is a sensitive calibrated device and should only be used for tightening, never for loosening. Using the wrench for loosening can damage the spring. I learned this mistake many years ago and thought I would share with you Thanks again!

@@KateFishing Hey Kate, you are welcome, I know this for my Dad was an auto mechanic. Also you commented that the wrench lever allowed reversing or removing but that is for tightening left handed threads. I appreciate your content for I am considering purchasing the Native titan (probably the 12)

You can lightly heat the crank cover before using the spanner wrench. It makes it easier to remove. Just light heat though. Small butane torch or a heat gun.

Drive with your seat strapped down or inside. When the back is up the force of the air can rip the fabric. I'd hate to see that. Good vid bro. Tight lines
