Just got my new steering handle for my Manta Ray Propel 12 yesterday from Ryan, Version 3. THIS THING IS ARTWORK. No more bendy plastic steering handle for the boonedox. Can't wait to get it installed tonight. Thanks for the video, would never have know about it without this. Captain Red

You're right about the cables, it does take quite bit of force to get it to turn with the longer rudder. I haven't upgraded mine yet but will soon.

Dude that’s so dope you picked up one of these! I’ve been eyeing them ever since he made the first batch! I’m going to have to get me one now.. the steering on mine seems like I have to really crank on that plastic handle to turn it and I know it’s just a matter of time before that SNAP! Hahaha

Wished I installed it last Thursday, but didn’t want to mess with my boat before the tourney. The positive response, feels awesome!!

I’ve had my 2020 Titan for like 4 months and literally just snapped my handle off today at that exact spot, so pissed, need to upgrade to this

The fella needs to make an aluminum piece that the steering handle goes through to eliminate the wobble from the taller steering handle height. Maybe incorporate a bearing to help further support the steering shaft also. Very cool install.

Bro this is a game changer , I broke my handle in a tournament and had to use my paddle as a rudder to steer me back 2 miles. Most definitely gettin one of these.

I only have to tighten it once. After my first trip. First use, gonna stretch it and that was it

Mine broke off on the second week of having my titan 10.5 and everything was factory i was so not happy and i had to buy a new handle so far so good but i do want to upgrade my handle and rutter though

It has a 6 spline mating unit. the force required to rip those splines out of the plastic pulley would be surreal. much more than a human could inflict with one of these handles. i would think your cable or line would snap first :)

fuck bro, my BKC 14ft Tandem broke on the handle lid.. I was thinkin of upgrading the whole rudder and handle to aluminum like that too!! and that spinning wheel that pulls the 2 wires turning left and right.

If this handle came out before I sold my Titan I probably would’ve kept it. I broke three of those plastic handles that came with the yak.

As of the 2019 boats, they come equipped from Native with a spectra cord steering upgrade so there is no need to spend $140 on the BerleyPro kit. BerleyPro's spectra cord isn't any better or stretch any less than Native's. Spectra cord is Spectra cord.

You are right 100% and my boat came with the Spectra line. But the Berley Pro replaces the steering disk and modifies the rudder plate. Its not just the spectra line. The steering kit is a solid upgrade and I highly praise Berley Pro for their innovation.

@@MOBBINOutdoors The BerleyPro kit is not worth upgrading to if you already have the Native kit that comes on new boats. And if you don't have the Native kit, the BerleyPro is not worth the extra $90. Just my opinion but if someone has money to throw away...

@@chriscabral4342 actually I read your question wrong. your probably referring to the steering disc right? Thats plastic by barley pro. They use a really high quality plastic. I dont think it will be an issue at all. no other reports of users I know of with issues with the berley pro disc

100 is the norm for the handle. spacers are 20 for 1, 30 for 2 and 45 for 3, knobs run 50 for either the smooth v1 or the grooved v2 buddy :) if your international its 15 for shipping otherwise its free inside the usa

Yes it’s Aluminum. But may oxidize of salt water settles on it. Wash off salt water

you can use NuFinish from your local auto parts store. it really shines it up and puts on a protective coating that stays on. I have tried a few and the NuFinish coating last by far the longest.

Too bad he's not answering anybody right now. Really wish I could get ahold of him. Nice video tho.

Yes I got this as an exchange to create a video and promote this handle. So not totally free, because I did my share of work. I also bought a few for others who have helped me with their plugs. So, what comes around, I will make it go around. I do believe in 'pay it forwards.' Tight lines

Dude, the link is to someone's profile with an alien picture?? I upgraded my rudder, and now my steering handle is pure dog shit. Super shaky and non responsive. Can you please re-post a link to where I can purchase the aluminum one? Native shit the bed with this plastic garbage handle along with brass inserts for the screws (strip out entirely too easy). For $2800, come on.
