First Day of Trains at East Pakenham Station

Hello all,
Welcome to a Melbourne trains video. Today we take a look at Melbourne's newest train station, East Pakenham. East Pakenham Station is a new terminus of the Pakenham line, which extends the line 1.87km to the east. The station opened on the 3rd of June, 2024, alongside the reopening of the new Pakenham Station, which was rebuilt as part of the LXRA project. East Pakenham is a ground level station with a single island platform. On each side, there are two express tracks for V/Line trains to pass through the station as they will continue to serve Pakenham Station rather than the new terminus.
In this video we capture some of the services and movements through the station on the first day of operation. Being a terminus station, the coverage is a little different, as most trains turn around.
A future upload will also cover a look at the new Pakenham Station.
