I went mel,in nov-17 n dec-18, where my daughter working NAB, near Southern Cross station. Stayed near Dockland, so my morning walk around the stadium n southern cross.

I’ve been to Southern cross stn.

I think Southern Cross is a nice to touch to a my Australian train card collection venture, it gives Melbourne a more sophisticated Euro vibe separating it from Sydney which is more akin to Brisbane, now I have my Blastoise and Charizard standoff. Think about that when you're standing waiting for the train. I'm not a fan of the wavy roof though, I like the flat blocky compactness and straight grids, like NY it would be nice if Melbourne started growing to this trend, the retro vibe... there is fed square, that gold building in southbank, enough is enough

Rajiv Murkejee when they got rid of guards it was all the gvt running the trains and they wanted to cut costs bad so they didn’t care

Why Melbourne has not double decker trains as Sydney due its extensive rail network?

I don't think a lot of the network is suitable for double decker trains, and there once was a experimental double decker train in the 1990s but it did not work out well because of reliability issues. (the train i mentioned is the 4D, which is basically the same as a tangara)

EMINICK95 He went back to Victoria last weekend so he could attend the Snow Train event. He’s uploaded that footage as well. Keep in mind it had at least been over a year since the last time he filmed Victoria’s rail network.

There’s is lots of variety train at that station

Melbourne trains seat design (backward facing seats) is trash, and their trains look much older compared to Sydney's double-deckers.

Comeng trains were built in the early 1980s. Okay I agree those ones are old, and they are being phased out by newer much better trains. The others like the Siemens Nexas and the X'Trapolis were built in the early 2000's. The only accidents that the Siemens had was braking issues in their first 8 years of service. X'Trapolis' never really had any serious accidents though. So to conclude, Comengs are old, X'Trapolis' are amazing and NOT old. And Siemens trains are all over the braking issues. That proves your comment is wrong, and completely stupid. Just piss off and go annoy SA or something.

I’m from Sydney and I think the older trains look better than the newer ones they are usually more comfortable and quieter than the newer trains but the new trains are still good especially the Waratahs

Comengfan 08 not going to talk about the major suspension issues with the xtrap trains? .... yeah crap trains, the best trains on the network have to be the comeng’s, they have more seats, are wider, and provide a better ride.
