    Everyone is speaking about the score but im so much more impressed with the manner these young boys conduct themselves. After the 2nd or 3rd goal they realize this isn't going to be a close game so they stop celebrating goals in a big way. Then after the final whistle immediately approach the girls for a handshake.

    I remember when I was in high school and played for the school team. I never saw the girls play because we practised on different days, I only ever heard their results in the assembly every week. I remember thinking, wow, they're doing quite well, they must be really good. I believed this fully for 3 years until I saw them play. I thought it was a joke, I honestly couldn't believe how bad they were, just simple touches and passes were a struggle. It really fucked with my head.

    I played with some pretty smart and technically fine girls of course only in a totally amateur, friends vs. friends setting, but however they good they were in thinking or ball control, we were able just simply outrun and outpower them whenever we wanted (and we were far from that athleticism a professional player has). It's not fair to put together the two biological sexes into the same competition.

    This exact same thing happened to me. When i was 14 i played in the u15 boys team. Keep in mind 1. We sucked(were in 2nd division 2. 1/3 of the starting team was out so most players were 6th graders. 3. The u18 girls team had just not only won nationals but regionals. So the reigning u18 women team played against us, the 2nd division u15 team with many players missing. Still. In a 45min match we ended 7-0. Its not a discrimination, its just a given.

    Just recently watched a match, 10-12 years old boys (my son among them) a small German city borough's club, played their neighbor borough's club's 14-16 years old girls' team. All girls were my higher than the boys, many were 2 heads higher . The boys played quite respectfully, considerably less physical than usual in their league. And they took care of the girls with a clear 4:1 victory.

At this age the physical differences are less pronounced than they will be in a few years, but you can clearly see the mental difference, speed of thought, spark of acceleration. Now add to whats on show here the size, weight and strength that another 5 years will give the boys and you can see why its a completely different game.

  • @9thbloodandfire508

    @9thbloodandfire508

    Actually I disagree here and I would say it is somehow more the opposite way arround. For sure the physical difference is less compared to grown up men, though you it is already overwhelmingly seen. I even tend to say, that in terms of "game intelligence" and things like "game understanding and theory" the women are still superiour. I mean, c'mon, this was for years the best professionell womens team in Switzerland (although the boy team surely is also one of the bes youth teams at this age in Switzerland). What you name as differences (which are surely clearly visible), like mental difference, speed of thought, spark of acc., etc., comes in my opinion from the already huge physical difference, because the boys are already used to it, while the women are not. Watch the equalizer as example. The header back into the box already starts the example. Women nr. 25 already is a head shorter than the boy defender, and she tried hard to push him away even while he is half in the air. She had absolutely no chance. The forward then, well surely his trick was nice, though watch his accelaration. The power his volley shot was simply too strong for the keeper, but still it was a bit blocked by one defending girl. Afterwards, he did basically not stop and got this 2nd chance. Girls? Watch the right fullback of the womens team. She might even have had the chance to get the second ball, though after the keeper blocked the 1st shot, she slowed down. Imo, because they are not used to this level of speed in the game. A women forward of their own level would not have reached the ball for the 2nd shot at all.
