@@Nick-pr9uv Agreed with that, no wonder most of us Americans (not myself as at least I dig football as I support Arsenal) dismiss football because of all the diving and flopping involved just to draw either a booking or a penalty. But as for Anthony Knockaert and his little theatrical stunt he (somehow successfully) pulled off conning referee Michael Oliver to award him a penalty, the French judge (how convenient we bring up THAT figure skating controversy from years ago, also knowing Knockaert is a Frenchman) gave him high marks on artistic impression but a low score on the technical merit. :) LOL I myself would've sent his ass off for that shit, that fucking third-tier hack, he never could cut in in top flight anywhere could he, as I looked up his playing career in Wikipedia and found out the highest he ever got to was either Ligue 2 (in the French system) or the EFL Championship. If I was Michael Oliver I myself would've had the gonads and gone by the letter of The Laws Of The Game and booked Anthony Knockaert for that obvious dive, there is no way in hell Marco Cassetti did anything to him other than lean on him and yet earlier on he easily got by what appeared to me like a stronger challenge from Matthew Briggs just to get into the box.

Not just that, but you'll notice that after the first save, the keeper slightly delays his reaction on purpose to make Knockaert think he can just kick the rebound to the keeper's right when the keeper reacts at exactly the right time to stop it.

The title is inaccurate... This is not the greatest ending to a football match ever. It's the greatest ending to any sport ever played. To be unfairly penalized with a PK in the dying seconds, save it twice, then score a goal seconds later... There is so much anger and frustration followed by perfect and thoroughly exilerating karma in the span of a few seconds. And I'm not even a supporter of either team. But this is beyond epic.

My dads a Watford fan and we were in the living room watching this and this is single handedly my favourite memory of us two!! The pure elation was amazing, I’m a Chelsea fan and was celebrating with my dad like I’ve been a life long Watford fan 😂 this is why we love the beautiful game!! ❤️

After all these years I just noticed this : Michael Oliver is the ref here. How he rewarded a penalty there is incredible. He was a FA Cup semi ref yesterday and he was poor again. How he continues to get big games is amazing.

This is incredible even if you're not a Watford fan. I'm a Man United fan but this goal is my favourite of all time. It's beyond the Zidane volley in the 2002 CL final. It's beyond the Maradona goal against England in the 1986 World Cup. It's beyond the Giggs goal against Arsenal in the 1999 FA Cup semi-final replay. This is my #1. The goal itself was good but it's the circumstances, how late in the game it is, what's at stake and what just happened less than 20 seconds before it. Nothing is ever going to beat this.

The Jimmy Glass goal for Carlisle is,of course,another of the classics...the special ingredient in all three is the importance of the games and the absolute fervour of the crowds! (from a Blade)

well, in my club it happened that one guy hit the crossbar in a penalty and the enemy team scored

every time i see this video i tear up. this is the epitome of what football is. having your emotions change like you're on a rollercoaster, not knowing what might unfold next, and experiencing something amazing every time. this by far, with no doubt in my mind, one of, if not THE greatest moment in english football history.

Moments like this is why I continue to love football. You can watch your team for decades, get to see some highs and lows and sometimes you'll see some terrible performances and feel like never setting foot in the ground again on some Saturday evenings. But every now and again, the football gods smile on you and you get to witness drama and elation that no other sport or branch of the arts can deliver. And that's why you keep turning up, because the day you don't might be the day when you miss something extraordinary. Yes, you'll see it on TV later, but nothing beats that experience of actually being there in the flesh.

Every true fan deserves something like this once in their life.

As a Bradford city fan, I concur. Our cup final season was such an incredible experience, from beating Wigan (who were premier League at the time and we were fourth division, or league 2 as it's called now) to beating arsenal after extra time and penalties, to beating villa over two legs, and beating them on aggregate after a 2-1 second leg loss to villa at villa park, where the away goal made all the difference... Those kind of memories are incredible, and I wish everyone who's ever followed a football club could experience those kind of other worldly experiences. The greatest day of my life, without a shadow of a doubt, was walking out onto the veranda at Wembley stadium, when it was filled to the rafters with almost 90,000 people, and you know tens of millions of people around the world are watching your home town club from the lowest fully professional league of English football takes on premier League side... My goosebumps were the size of tennis balls, and I don't mind admitting I cried like a child, along withsll the men and boys in my immediate family, and childhood friends. I lost an uncle in the Bradford city stadium fire of 1985, Davis James Crabtree, who was 31 years old when he died on that may afternoon, and he, along with the 55 other fans who lost their lives on that horrific day were rightfully honoured at Wembley, whichade the occasion all the more emotional Football is more than just a game. It's a way of life.

I wish he said it earlier. Did it just before the penalty. Didn't see the finish, my daughter's wedding or the rest of my life.

The odds of ALL of this happening are like a billion to one. Incredible double stop of penalty, amazing passes, header assist at the end of a game. Just unbelievable. Maybe the Kirk Gibson Homerun had longer odds.

I love how Almunia just looks so hopeless when he dives for both penalty and the rebound

If VAR existed then this moment wouldn’t have happened, penalty wouldn’t have been given and Watford wouldn’t have scored. Amazing how 1 small change could’ve changed this moment from history, absolutely staggering.

I dont get it how people actually can like VAR.This year in Premier league was about at least 10 undeserved penalties with VAR.And everyone is like nothing hapened.And so many mistakes to like Sakho goal disalowed beacuse of hand.Whole world see he score with shoulder but VAR see handball.And Kane goal vs Sheffield dislowed because moura hand ball and so many mistakes.Worst part of all is if menager or player talk about war decisions in negative contest they will be fined.And in some games finding fouls that hapened 40 seconds before the goal.VAR destroying football every normal person and football lover with common sense can see that.

Watching this is like losing my virginity, getting married, watching the birth of my son all rolled into one and I'm an Everton fan.
