Excellent talk! I am 75 years old, and I have had 2 strokes and 3 heart stints. In the last 22 months, I have been fasting 18-20 hours per day for 5-6 days per week; as a result, I have lost ~30 pounds; am no longer pre-diabetic (A1C was 6.0; now 5.5); reduced acid reflux by 95%; reduced blood pressure meds by 75%; ended Celebrex for arthritis pain in knees and hips; have seen increased cognition - a significant increase in typing speed; more bruise resistant than in the past and my skin is less dry and chapped. I have not felt this good in years - fasting is a miracle.

MY story. I went to bed Sunday night after eating a pizza, big bag of chips, 6 pack of beer and a couple cocktails. Woke up Monday at 7. Fell back asleep. Got back up at 11 and had to cancel work. Felt so horrible I decided to stop everything and go on a fast. I had done one 10 years ago for 3 days and knew I'd feel great after a couple days. I stayed on for 128 hours till Saturday morning. I went from 155lbs to 144.2lbs. I did moderate exercise for an hour as much as my body would handle. TRUTH- this time I felt out of it till Friday. It's now saturday morning as I type and I'm drinking coffee and going to eat in about an hour. I feel like a new man...Fasting works- even if you dont do it right- it's the hardest "easy" thing you'll ever do.

Self esteem is NOT being respected by others, self esteem is having the ability to self realize so profoundly one doesn't need to look outside of oneself for your worth, your connection to your soul and creation is your value. Looking outside of yourself for worth and esteem is nothing more than a fix to which you will need another and another.

If you are going to fast I just suggest doing intermittent fasting. One meal a day. Then switch over to a 16 hour fast and do 2 meals a day. That is sustainable forever if you want. If you must fast for a prolonged period of time then do WATER ONLY. Mineral water. If you're doing this with the maple syrup you are going to constantly be spiking insulin because you are drinking sugar basically all day.

And it really gets a lot better after that to where you're not hungry and you're feeling great. Then the last seven months I've done 3 fasts a 40-day fast, a 30-day fast, and a 25-day fast, as well as some shorter fasts, and intermittent fasting.

Hey, (I am a random girl who saw your video years after it was posted )but I felt I had to comment - I think there’s no need to explain yourself to others.. you still did a 7 day fast without food and that’s so challenging and most cannot do that. The ones who haven’t tried fasting are in the comments trying to seem like the “experts”…. Great job 👏

A year ago, I would have thought he was radical, and this speech would be bogus. This year I went through a lot of digestive issues from consuming too much sugar, carbs, and eating 3 meals a day plus snacks. I decided to have enough willpower to try fasting. Fasting changed my life in more ways than just physical. I no longer have digestive issues; I am no longer constipated. More importantly, my mental clarity is heightened, and my mood has changed from depressed to waking up happier, energetic, and motivated to take on the day. All in all it makes sense. We used to be hunters and gatherers.

He has just scared people away from fasting! He should try diluted fruit juice fasting for 30+ days and stop eating junk food to break the fast. It's NOT as hard as he says. Also, he is consuming too much energy so his hunger never goes away really. Please research further than just this video. It feels amazing to be so clean on the inside.

The master cleanse is a juice fast, juice from lemons and juice(pure maple syrup ) from a maple tree. The syrup has all the vitamins and minerals of any fruit juice. Yes it does have sugar in it but it is deluted with water, jut like a juice fast. Do your research before you speak out of ignorance.

rustyispunk So this guy fasted for what, several days? So what his body went through was as follows: He went from eating each and every day, several times a day and likely at certain intervals... to ceasing eating and only drinking water for all these days in a row. His digestive system shut down... it had nothing to do, no food to digest... it stopped working. Then, at that certain point, he decides to re-introduce food into the system again. Does it seem reasonable to eat all that harsh protein/meat combination after all that time that the stomach had not been working, doing its job? It was insane, he must have been extremely uncomfortable. The best thing he could have done was drink an herbal tea, then a light, watered down juice, watermelon is great... for maybe a couple days and then introduce whole fruits, followed by salads... and after several days he could return to the eating habits he had before (which are actually poor eating habits, but all these "experts" on the internet "know" that meat and dairy are "so good" for them... well, I digress).

Appetite is not hunger... Hunger does not always indicate the moment to break a fast. ...Fasting is a voluntary absence of all food to allow the total digestive resting period that is necessary to make the body feed itself soly on it's fat reserves and on most obstructions and infections that are harmful to the the body. Autolysis of infections, gall stones, kidney stones etc. only begins after 3 days of fasting on water only and resting most of the time in bed or on a lounging chair in a warm enough room(20 Celsius= 68°F) cf. I don't use any juices...just water and Sole. I only had two days, of only a couple hours, where I just wanted to "chew" on something...I missed chewing up a peach and I wanted a piece of chicken one day...I just didn't dwell on it or let myself feel deprived, I was on a mission! But I had lots of time, no grocery shopping, no preparing food, no cleaning the kitchen...no lunch to pack for work! I did this for Spiritual reasons which the physical benefits are a positive consequence of my spiritual fast. I just did it, I didn't know how long until day 4 - I was given a sign for 10 days...on day 11 I woke up alert, refreshed, energized, I didn't want to break my fast...after a water fast you want to take 5 days and juice then a couple days of juice plus Small bites of easy foods like chicken! Not red meats until day 10 after a slow food tiny bites introduction. I don't eat like I used to - all my supplements, hundreds of dollars, threw out; protein drinks, gone...I'm a runner to, one of those people who can run a half marathon in 2:30 hrs but carrying a 20 pound sack around their waist line....this fast has changed me physically and mentally. I went through my house and for three days I decluttered only keeping things that brought me joy...clothes, knickknacks, pictures on the walls, my walls are bare...I think I'm become ingrained a minimalist....and a great weight has been lifted and so has that fat waistband. I run more efficiently now and I still fast every morning until 11:00. I still take my Sole (so-lay)...and my prayers have been answered.

any people here trying to fast for straight 24 hours ? from 6to 6? and then having an small meal? like soup? or fresh fruits? I have tried 1 day of water fast and feels great, but due to work and other things I can not do it for 7 days long. it says u also need to take rest while fasting: imagine how boring it can get then ? why not fasting 1/2 days a week, and building it up to 7 days or more ? I have already fasted 2 days this week, only not in 1 row. tomorrow at 15:00 will be another 24hours straight of no food...

To get autolysis going, one must fast and rest for at least 3 days...and longer.
