    Your videos are great! You’ve really help my mental as far as how to approach progression on my instrument. I think dissection videos would be cool. Pick a song and break down the bass lines. A lot of people do these but your perspective would be cool.

    As funny as it sounds, I learned tip #5 a long time ago watching Dragonball Z as a kid LOL, several examples of resistance training in that show (Piccolo wearing heavy clothing, Goku training under heavier gravity, etc) and a lightbulb just clicked to apply it to bass. I teach my students the same concept now (including the DBZ reference lol), it really does help...great video Daric keep it up.

    I like having one bass strung with flats and then a different one with round wounds, then I play the flats hard as if I am trying to rip them out of the instrument.

    As of this posting, no one has said this yet so let me say... that "muddy/not clean" section you played as an example at 2:39? Those overlapping bleeding of notes? Very very flavorful and full of funk, but I guess that's another topic/video to explore. Thanks for sharing!

    I can play pretty fast using 3 plucking fingers, index/middle/ring. Is this a good idea or should I limit it to just my 2 fingers, index and middle?

    I always play along at around 70 percent speed at start and then push. after five six tries I am up there.
