    How do you find Portuguese in Brazil and Portugal different?

    Specially how we pronounce. We Brazilians speak more like we were singing a song. Personally when I first heard Portuguese from Portugal it was a little bit confusing, and sounded like Russian to me. But, after living in Maison du Portugal in Paris and visiting Portugal a few times, I can understand much better. Also, we have different words. For example: in Portugal they call lady “rapariga”, but if we say this in Brazil is very rude and means “whore”. It’s funny though.

    Note that "assistir" can mean assist in some contexts, when the verb is direct transitive. But is less common than "ajudar".
