I have just ordered a regular A1, and really tossed up spending the extra couple hundred big ones on this... I did wonder if 7mm might almost be verging into TOO thick territory

Those were my concerns as well, but Fallkniven pulled it off. They changed the geometry to a more acute convex that is just behind the edge and blends into a flat grind saber. This makes it sharper with the stock geometry. If you had a F1, you could notice the similarities at the edge. It has a better balance and handle too. And the steel is very exotic. You won't ever have a chance to play with (V Gold Super) laminated Cobalt Special anywhere. I'm still editing the field footage. So far I'm really excited. Stay tuned.

Oh, I also just pulled the trigger on the new Battle Horse Attitude, But I had mine thinned down to 5/32nd" thick and I got a White Handle with Blue Liners, The reason I got it was so I can pair it with my Himalayan Imports M-43 with White Bone handle, I think it's going to be a sick team up., Nice knife Bro. Congrats.

It's a beast

awesome dude! congratz! very good video! ahh who cares about the factory bevel anymore. people like us will never be satisfied with a factory bevel haha. but man the knife looks gorgeous. It's looks like a bodyguard, a super muscled gentleman. it's a crowbar in suit haha. the new fingerguard is awesome. On my f1 pro it's also very comfortable. thanks a lot for the video. can't wait to get mine.

Haha yeah all factory edge from all company's are not that great. This knife is a beast. You'll love this knife. I'm editing the field test footage. I've got tons to share. Favorite knife so far out of all my high end knives.

Dutch Bushcraft Knives I have the regular A1 and think it's a great knife! Is the A1-Pro really enough better to justify the big price tag??

Not enough to justify the price tag in my opinion but this is the case with many premium/special/high end things. The price tag and performance never rise in the same amount sadly. I still love mine a lot and never regretted a single euro I spent on it.

Dutch Bushcraft Knives thanks man! How's that new steel on the A1-Pro? I'm not familiar with it. Is it as stainless/rust resistant as the VG10 on the regular A1?

As someone who has used it for a long time, would you recommend this knife?

That’s the only thing wrong with buying online is that you don’t get to inspect the item before you buy ....did you get the kink out ..hope all is good pal

The handle material is not the same, A1 is Kraton and A1Pro is Thermorun! I have these two knifes and Thermorun feels more harder material!

Your are right, looks like they changed the handle material on the regular A1 to Kraton.

The Pro of course, it costs more though. The regular A1 is great. The Pro is more refined
