I definitely still listen to American country music. I remember when this song came out over 30 years ago when I was high school.
90s country will always mean alot to me. Grew up remodeling houses with my dad blasting these on the radio while we were working. It'd be on his truck radio early in the morning driving to our hunting spots sipping our coffee. Reminds me of the girl next door at my childhood home we'd walk through the woods sometimes barefoot to meet each other. We'd jump off a cliff at rockmill quarry dozens of times before it became illegal. Could go on and on..thanks for the memories.

I don't have experiences like this, since I'm a city kid. Immigrant Chinese kid who grew up in NYC. I always gravitated to country music as kid because it made me feel like there was a whole wide world out there. Even though I grew up in the hustle & bustle of the city where it seemed like everything was, I always hated it. I always wanted to be somewhere I could be left alone. I always loved listening to country, wishing I was instead on a wide open road somewhere else. Everyone thought I was weird.

1999 baby here, and I like country music starting from Taylor Swift, then Faith Hill, The Chicks ( Formerly known as Dixie Chicks), Lady Antebellum, etc.
My dad bought me this CD for Christmas when I was 9 and it's basically everything I went through with him. I lost him at 26 and I'm 30 now and I would do anything to have him back just for a moment to apologize for all the times I was a little shit.

We all have regrets from opportunities taken from us. I lost my dad when he was 62..... i was 35, i’m 44 now - it never gets easier - you just learn to remember the good times more and the lessons taught and maybe beat yourself up a little less. He knew you loved him.

Lol, I get told I'm rebellious. I'm 33 years old and still wild living life. Love this song. I follow the law, and that's the best you'll get from me.
I have tears in my eyes listening to this years and years later. When I was a little kid, my mom would sing this song and dedicate it to me. I am turning eighteen tomorrow and so much has changed, often for the worse and sometimes for the better, and this has rejuvenated something in me. I am reminded that despite what we've been through, my mom believed in me from the time I was a little kid, and she still does. She's seen through so much of my actions and mistakes to identify who I am as a person, and I know she'll always see the person I am and always will be. Thank you Mom. Life is hard but your unconditional love and belief in me is the greatest gift I could ever be given.

This is probably the best country album ever made. Every song reminds me of being a kid in the back seat while my mom was jamming this. Wish she was still here so we could jam out.

Its 2018 n I still listen to the same stuff I did growing up.. graduated in '06 n it seems like no new music since then has been even half as good as music used to be, not just country but ALL music in general. Especially these new mumble rappers, or songs that say the same word for the ENTIRE SONG.. entertainers had to have actual talent to be signed before, idk wth happened. I'm not even really a country music fan but when I was young my mom listened to country n motown n my dad listened to Elvis n Johnny cash n I'm almost 30 n still listen to all the songs I ran around singing in elementary school. Lol. The 1st cassette I ever got was a Pam tillis tape for my new walkman. I thought I was the coolest kid in the world for about a week. Lol. Hope ur still enjoying these wonderful songs. 💞

This was one of my Aunt's favorite songs. I come back here everytime I get to missing her. I love you and miss you so much Aunt Joyce. Hope your wild, angelfaced spirit is running free and careless in Heaven ❤
im 15 and i dont i love this kind of country. im tired of all these young gys singing about how country they are! i love the kind of country that me and mama can dance to in the kitchen. i think everyone is missing out!
Nice voice! Can never forget the country classics. Quite honestly, I don't really get people's fascination with artists like Luke Combs or Jason Aldean.

Daddy got me stuck on this song when I was very young played it so often I should be tired of it but I'm not
Heard this song multiple times a day when I drove cross country by myself in 94
I remember being in the audience for the soul 2 soul show in Vancouver, and when she sang this, instead of “his name is bill”, she modified it so the last two verses were: 🎶They said don’t see him She says “His name is Tim!”🎶 Nice touch, no?
This is my 4 year old girls favorite song... I’m both impressed and scared.
My mother dedicated this song to me. Now I am 30 reliving and dedicating this to a daughter of my own. lol
1993-1994 was an amazing time in country music. still miss that time. in many ways everything went downhill when i turned 10 in 1994.. songs like this remind me of when i was unapologetically happy and that was still okay and the world just let me be happy and hadn't started yet telling me i didn't deserve to be happy or was supposed to be sad/hurt/upset all the time, usually just because other people were or something had happened to someone i didnt even know so somehow that was supposed to make me extraordinarily sad for whatever reason the grown ups came up with and something was "wrong" with me anytime i was sad at the drop of a hat just bc the grownups thought it was time to be sad now and everyone had to feel like they did or else yelling and screaming quickly ensued and i just wanted to dissapear. songs like this remind me to have hope even when it feels like there is none left for me or for the world in general.
When i watched this 15 years ago it was about me. And God help me my daughter is just like me 😆

I hear this a lot on Classic country WOKR 1310 AM lol. This is one of my quintessential 90s childhood country songs. While my mom drove our 1993 Plymouth minivan 🤣
When i got married, and we had our "slide show", this song was played for my 8-18 year old pictures. I love this song!!!!!
This is the song/video that started my admiration for Faith Hill. I have been a FAITH HILL FANATIC for more than 19 years now. Faith is such a beautiful woman both inside and out. She seems like a real down-to-earth individual. No matter how many accolades, awards, or money she has in the bank, she has remained true to herself.. Faith is a class act. That is what I admire the most about her and have since I was a young 15 year old girl. She was my role model growing up and still is.
I've been listening to a lot of country music lately and i love this one
I grew up on all these makes me think of my dad I love you Dad
Brings back memories from when I was younger. I used to sit on my dad's lap and he would sing this to me
The 1 that brought Faith to the big show. She hit #1 on ACC, 1-1-94.
Durr, nobody cares if anybody is watching this in 2012. This song is forever. Love her to pieces :)
I remember the 1st time I saw this video( in 1993). I thought " Faith Hill...hmmmm...she's gonna be huge.
Faith Hill's always been my favorite country singer, and she's very talented. I think this is probably her most traditionally country song.
my mom used to sing this to me and I think of her every time I hear it I love my mom.

It's 2021 and I still love this song! Can still remember hearing it for the first time on game night, getting ready to do my mini-cheer routine (also for the first time) beside my foster-sister, who was curling my hair while this played in the background. Talk about nostalgia!
Hands down, the best smile in contemporary country and beyond. PS: Her voice ain't bad either. :)
To parents of the wild ones DO NOT CRUSH IT! I was the wild one. If my parents said one thing I wanted and did the exact opposite. I feel that spirit has pushed me over the years to keep going.

Man, it's hard to believe that it's been 20 years ago on New Year's Day 1994 that this song became her 1st #1 Country Hit and it was the very 1st #1 song on the Country Chart of 1994 Faith Hill is a Megastar in Country Music God Bless Faith Hill for a job well done and she TRULY is a Wild One This song was out when Full House, Swat Kats, Step By Step, California Dreams, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Murder She Wrote, Rescue 911, X-Mean, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Party of Five and Sisters were still on the air
I miss when cmt had music videos with great music videos like this one
I was 25 years old when this song was on the charts back in 1993. Loved it then, love it now!

her music was never the same after her throat surgery
Would argue that she is in the top 10 of the most beautiful women of the last 100 years.

I cant say that i really heard any of Faiths music in the past.I just happened to come across this one after hearing her sing the song used in Pearl Harbour.I was pretty impressed with her voice that i have just ordered 3 of her albums from Amazon.(be lost without them).
