I am, and have done so probably a dozen times this year, not to mention the hundreds of times in the last decade. While that may be due to the fact that what is today's standard for 'music' hurts those with a sense of sound and clarity of listening purpose, some of us like to hear and understand lyrics that tell a story and make sense without all the synthesized garbage that passes as 'music' these days.

My son and I met Jessica a long time ago in Virginia and she was very nice and my son really loved her. We were standing right at the stage and she saw me writing something on a piece of paper and she said "oh I'm going to get a note" and I gave the note to her and she wished a friend of ours a Happy Birthday and after her concert we were getting ready to leave, but we were just standing there hoping that we could meet her and all of a sudden a man came over to us and handed us both a sticker and said for us to go back stage and meet her....the guy had to be her manager. That was really nice of him and she was so nice....we had a picture taken with her and she autographed a lot of things for us.

That's who this song should be for. Every person fighting death or trying to support life. I sometimes listen to this song for rationally is so great about it, it's not intellectually genius, this song is so emotional and spiritual genius though, just like most classic country and classic rock, but especially classic country, you just can't argue with it, and you don't know why. I posted on my Facebook "if someone can produce a relevant argument tell me" but I erased it because no one even liked the video....I should send it to my mom and sisters and they would get it...but I just feel that...like someone really form an academic argument against "Rosemary's Granddaughter" okay.

glad this song is helping you through your hard time, :) as for me it helped me get through some human trafficking to think there was someone out there in the world sung about by Edison Lighthouse named Rosemary whose personality was so like mine but no one loved her or valued her except for the singer and then to imagine she got through the experience of being hated and she had a granddaughter named Jessica who really valued her and the rest of her family. :) super helpful songs when played together...since my traffickers were my family and they said I had no value other than to be a slave. :( but I didn't agree and I shared the two Rosemary songs with them and other songs and eventually they let me escape. even tho my name is not Rosemary, I can really relate to Rosemary :) I hope I meet a Rosemary one day. :) and find a family to love me :)

My wife started watching a show on Hallmark channel. Titled "Sue Thomas FBI (Eye)" from the early 2000s. Based on true story of a deaf women who could sign and speak, hired by the FBI. Lead is an actual deaf actor who speaks and signs. This song is the theme. Don't recall ever hearing it before but really liked the music and concept.

Robert Z D The lady in front of me in the drive thru at Dunkin Donuts paid for my and daughter’s drinks today. It was a small simple gesture but welled tears of gratitude in my eyes. Reminded me of how kind everyone was to each other after the attacks of 9/11 which sparked the pay it forward movement. I plan on doing that. Thank you for the encouraging words and know that others are wishing the same for you. 😊

Laney Whitaker that is so awesome, there are kind people all over if we just open our eyes to look for the positive in life and not look for the negative in people like most humans seems to do these days. It takes more effort to be miserable than to be happy let’s get that pay it forward movement going again I’m a fan of that. Thank you my friend for sharing your story 😁

In a 2001 interview, Andrews explained that she recorded the song (which was written by Brett James and Troy Verges[11]) because she felt that its lyrics were especially fitting to her own life: "Everything is so true in that song, except that my grandmother's name is not Rosemary. It's about believing in yourself and being supported by those around you. No matter how many mistakes you make, your friends and family will be there for you."

This song makes me break into tears every time I hear it. My mother’s name is Rosemary. My daughter is Rosemary’s granddaughter, she looks just like her father, she’s definitely (and I say this with all the love in the world) clueless and clumsy a lot of times, but I’m always and forever her biggest fan. I’ve called this my daughter’s song from the moment I first saw her. I would never change a thing about my baby girl (said baby is about to turn 10, lol) and this song will always be one of my favorites because of how well it fits her and how it makes me think of both my daughter and my mom. ♥️

Anyone else just rediscover this song for the first time in 20 years?

The only reason Jessica wasn't 'Taylor Swift' of her time was whomever was getting her music and managing her career... she certainly had the talent...

Yes that matters! Taylor’s mother is a marketing expert.
This song always keeps me true to who I am and my grandma was my biggest north star and she passed from cancer 4 years ago and I lived with her my whole life she helped my mom raise me and I heard this song the other day in the car when I was really missing her and asked for a sign and this song came on the radio and i balled
I just lost my Life Companion several weeks ago...having a hard time adjusting...started watching Sue Thomas Private Eye on the Hallmark channel on roku...and this is the theme song...I listened to it and this is just me...so now it is my theme song...thank you Jessica Andrews...you are an angel.
Beautiful song just out of nowhere. I had to hear It. Thank you

Look at all of these comments. Jessica Andrews wrote a song that's making people connect like this. Some of us are sharing experiences in a KZread comments section! It's amazing when you think about it.

St. Mildred Miller is the best mom ever. My mother in law.
This is my favorite female artist song.I heard it for the first time during my unfortunate incarceration. It was a trying time for sure and I still can’t believe that happened to me, not once but twice. Oh well, clearly God knows what he is doing and I’m just along for the ride!
My first and only country album I ever purchased. My first crush.
Still one of the best songs I've ever heard.
Message to everyone who is listening through this crazy time in 2020 stay safe I love you all we will make it through this and be better and stronger when we come out the other side let’s meet back here in 12 months. 🙏🙏 Be kind to someone else each day it will make your day a brighter one.

This song reminds of when my Mom died, Even though I'm a guy, I am reminded of how proud she was when I had my first book published and and how proud she was of me so when the part of the song where the word my mamma's still my biggest fan.I end up crying like a baby,
My son just send me a video of this song play at a restaurant... I couldn’t believe he remembered I played this not stop when it came out❤️❤️❤️
In a 2001 interview, Andrews explained that she recorded the song (which was written by Brett James and Troy Verges[11]) because she felt that its lyrics were especially fitting to her own life: "Everything is so true in that song, except that my grandmother's name is not Rosemary. It's about believing in yourself and being supported by those around you. No matter how many mistakes you make, your friends and family will be there for you."
Since I'm always on the LATE FREIGHT I must admit, I JUST NOW discovered this series!!! I've not had a TV since 1982; I watch on my computer. I REALLY like this show, all the characters are endearing.
Wow, I'm 47!!! Still my favorite song!!! Thanks Jessica ❤️
Miss u grandma.. u are the best granny ever was, has been, but most of all.. best ever will be.. 5ever I love u
I remember listening to this song with my friend Stephanie when we were teens. Then she moved ot something and i never saw her or heard from her again 😢 didnt even know she was leaving. Maybe her mom got full custody...we hung out at her dads. Its been over 20 years and I still wonder how she is and where she is. And wishing i knew her last name. If you somehow see this HMU!
I am Callies granddaughter, spitting image of my mother and father. I have a family that loves me, And this song brings tears to my eyes, because I know that they are proud of me.

I look just like my father with my mamas guts and bravery. I have friends that love me. For that I am forever grateful. ♥️
my daddy dedicated this song to me as a child. to this day I end up in tears.

Same here. First time hearing this song. It made me cry.
🥰🥰😍💞I'm have been looking for this song thank God I fund it
Was watching Sue Thomas FBeye and just had to hear this song all the way through.
This song just popped into my head, it was my favourite song as a kid!

My daughter is also named Rosemary after my mom - Rosemary's granddaughter - my Rosemary is also 10 - turns 11 in June. You & I have same thoughts about this song - my mom passed in 88' so this song really gets to me sometimes - play it for my daughter regularly
Well my parents don’t care for me… but I’m my nana and grandads girl even in death… nana is my biggest fan and I’m keeping my promise to my granddady and getting that lpn/rn. I know who loved me and was there for me. Amen. ❤❤
