I'm so sorry brother. I wish I could tell you it gets easier but it doesn't. My wife of 22 years died 9 months ago. I'm angry, filled with rage and anger. I separated from the church got fired from the Department and drink and cry myself to sleep every night. I hope your journey is easier and you can make better choices than me. Love always

I am so sorry for your loss my dear, i hope your daughter dances and passes that love along and may your family's hearts be warmed forever by this song and many more songs of hope, love and perseverance. sending warm and loving energy to you and yours. I wish I could give you a great big hug and I hope the pain becomes a little bit more tolerable. I know that kind of pain lingers, but it's finding ways to live with that pain and not become consumed by it. I heard the most beautiful expression yesterday that brought me to tears while watching a movie and, in this movie, the widow says to her stepdaughter, telling her about her deceased love of her life "he wrapped a string of lights around my heart." I know that I am a complete stranger, but pain is something I am all too familiar with and anytime I hear about someone who has experienced a terrible tragedy, I cannot help but become overwhelmed with emotion because I don't just empathize, I am a highly sensitive empath and I just want so badly to help everyone I meet or hear about with their pain and let them know that even if we are strangers, I care and I wish I could heal their pain. I hope I haven't rambled on too much. May peace and love be with you and those that you love and may it protect you and them as well.

The craziest thing about this song is it came only months before I was born (May of 2000, I was born in October). My parents always tell me that on the day I was born, Lee Ann was actually singing this song on tv in a nearby room. That alone made this song special to me as I grew up. Today I officially turned 20 years old, and although it is crazy to think how much the world has changed in those 20 years, it is better to focus on how great of a life mine will become in the future. God bless you all and stay safe.

The lines about not giving yourself cause to "Look back and wonder" When I was a young lady and this song had just come out, I focused on Womack. ...but those back up vocals are so haunting to a woman about to break 40, when she's struggling to not regret parts of her past and is worried she doesn't have much of a future left before the next trip to the hospital leads to an obituary...

It is like she wants me to know she is still with me and my kids or how she would love to be around with us. I still don't know how, but you and me will have to learn to live and be happy without our Mums. I believe they are not gone forever. We will see each other again one day.

" I hope you dance" is tattooed on my right foot. My Mom gave me this advice when I suddenly lost the hearing in my left ear...15 minute "episode" and it was gone and I was left with the constant snowy tv sound in my head. I was a RN and prayed it would not change my career. It didnt... 15 years later my brain has taught my ears to listen in stereo again. The human body and mind are amazing. I thank my Mom for not letting me give up and keep listening to the music. Never stop dancing🙏

+TWOLF Ravencroft omg😯 no! Genuine! My daughter and I love this song because we too are going through tough illness and pain. But she is a very strong 6 year old who has gained my admiration. I introduced her to this song because it is very powerful for all of us who's life is being threatened by health issues such as cancer and illnesses with no cure. Life is hard but we must fight till the end.

Why so many songs leave us only an empty feeling lyrics with nothing but words but then there is a few loaded with blessed inspiration so touching. Words loaded with Devine message. This is such a dose of spiritual vibe

As a mother this was the song I chose to dance with my son at his wedding. This song means the world to me. If only everyone played this just once a day I think many lives would be changed! God Bless!

My wife chose this song also when she danced with my son at his wedding. It never fails to bring a tear to my eye thinking about our sons and now their children. Life is short. Dance when you have the chance.

My mom wanted to dedicate this song to her kids at her funeral. She later didn't want a funeral but we did play it on the day we spread her ashes. Today is her birthday. I listen to this song when I miss her most.
