I know that no one cares, but my grandma recently died. we were very close. every time she would pick me up from school when I was a kid this song would play on the radio. I could tell she loved it because every time, her face would light up. my fondest memory is singing this with my grandma on the way to her house after a long day of school. This song came out when I was in kindergarten in Georgetown, TX. George Strait is the embodiment of everything that was innocent and pure about America, a real life gentleman. He somehow was able to keep all his music PG and wholesome without being corny or lame. I can't think of any other country artist able to deliver solid gold over and over without ever straying from his formula or his values.

Wow yeah I've been told that before too but we actually never made it to marriage she cheated on me after 5 years of being together 😞😢. I had a ring an everything sence it was 5 years I thought well it's gotta be time now no more waiting an then found out where she really was instead of being at a friends house like she told me , she was really at a guys house staying the night 😒😠😢😞 an then decideds to deny that she was staying over there with him and she was sorry and didn't mean it I was crying and upset especially when you found out I had a ring but it's too late now she screwed up . 5 years down the drain an if it wasn't for snapchat showing her location I would have never knew but something told me to see an then I drove to that location an it was a guys house an now she's with him still ever sence I left .

George Strait is difficult to listen to; My late husband got us concert tickets for our anniversary; the night before the concert we got into a big argument. I was a 25 yo, and I had a problem with bringing up the past when we would argue (we were HS sweethearts). I ultimately refused to go to the concert. Neither of us went. The next day we made up and he told me that he saved up for floor seats to that show! 😭 My husband unexpectedly passed away shortly after that, leaving behind our beautiful children and many broken hearts. I would've had that beautiful memory of the concert to hold onto had I not been petty! Please make up with your loved ones, say you're sorry more often, even if you feel like you're right, say it anyway. Tell them how you feel, how much you appreciate them, how hard they work, how much they love you even when you may not deserve it LoL Tell them how gorgeous/handsome they are, especially on days they look tired, when they need it the most. Cuddle them as much as possible, They may not be there tomorrow =(

This song reminds of my daughter when she was in middle school, a boy who she was friends with came up to her after school and asked if they were friends. She said yes of course we are. She was confused on why he asked as there hadn't been any problems. She found out later on that night he and his mother were killed in a car accident on there way home from school. It really freaked her out, all she could take from it was at least he knew he had a friend and it was important to him.

My dad used to harass me so badly to this song. I was in 3rd grade when it came out and every time it came on he'd crank it and tease me lol. Well I lost him last February (2/6/20) and today would've been his 64th birthday so his 33 yr old daughter is here singing it loud and proud to her daddy wherever he may be. Miss you, Dad💜
