I wanna say your vids definitely help us as far as if and when we go to a tuner. It helps us be prepared properly. I say properly as I made a mistake when I thought I had everything checked but missed a couple of things like a boost leak or maf leak.

yes, those pre-tune preps definitely makes tuning easier for your tuner and makes it cheaper for you to tune

Always a pleasure watching and learning from your videos 🙏🏽🙏🏽. I Can’t wait for the day when I can finally afford to have my car in your shop for a full diagnose and tune.
Great work as usual !
The shop is loaded.... another great video. There's always something to learn from u. God bless brother

Love these videos of Evo X’s with stock engines (head and blocks), and upgraded stock frame turbos (more achievable for the average person). I’m hoping to upgrade my fuel system and turbo possibly next year. Not sure if you have any experience with Turbos-R-Us, Gennari Turbos, TPC, ATP, etc., but do you prefer certain brands/manufacturers? If so, which ones do you find provide the best power and reliability?

Stick to the MAJOR name brands( i.e. Garrett, Precision, Etc)...alot of off brands have these over estimated claims with bs virtual dyno results . Dont get caught out there. You have to pay to play and you get what you pay for.

You can’t beat Garrett for reliability. And they make good power.

Genari has amazing turbos and doesn’t claim high ass numbers. I’ve been running his turbo for a couple years and it’s been amazing.

I work with whatever client has. But when given a choice I would choose Garrett and xona over all other current turbo brands.

New to the Evo platform I look forward to your videos. I’m making 330whp now but my boost is inconsistent as of late. Hoping to upgrade to a 18k next year and maybe flex fuel.
You looks great 💗

Come through
As great a tuner ad alchemist is nothing much hell be able to do inferior parts. A tuner is like a chef. They know what combination works best depending on your power goal. Figure out your power goal then ask them what parts you need to get there.

@@bdalchemist how come you didn't suggest the client switch to ID 1700 or FIC injectors? Wouldn't they flow better then the Cobb injectors?

@@kseries27 for his setups the 1300 are good enough. No need to parts he has no use for.
I just got a surge tank installed, but still using stock send/return line. I’m in the process of retuning now… hopefully I don’t have a fueling problem. What are your solutions for the new return line, another 6AN line? Or a 8AN for the new send? I tried using an AEM 320 pump as well, and it basically died out after e60 (was a struggle getting up to 85%) Between having id1050x and the AEM pump, and then having to swap them out mid tune… the struggle has been real, I guess that what I get for upgrading the turbo unexpectedly. Lol I’m using ID1300x now. Do you just zero out the IPW adder table? I can’t really find any info on what those values should be for these injectors. I’m about to break down and reach out to Bosch for the info.
Question: I have just completed my 2.2 Stroker build for my EVO X. The motor was upgraded with higher compression (10.3) and 94mm Callie’s crankshaft. Before the build I was tuned on E-85 for the 2.0. The question is can I start my motor on the 2.0 tune to do the initial 20 min break-in?

Thank you so much for your advice. I have put too much time and money into my ceramic motor project to have it go boom 💥
For that flex fuel sensor setup , where did / can you tap in the wire from ecu to work properly. I have the tephramodv3 . They have have instructions on their site but it wasn’t clear and detailed . I know most flex fuel has pigtail to connect but mines didn’t come with . It’s innovate universal flex fuel evo x

It’s the 4 in 1 gauge boost, afr , flex , and fuel temp . We also have the same setup running the flex fuel sensor on the feed line . Problem is in order to use the flex fuel map on tephramodv3 we need to tap in a wire in the ecu. I’m wondering if you guys have a way to how we can get that running

Single wire out from gauge needs to go to any of those locations illustrated on tephra's website. Most People use the rear evap signal connection found on top of the fuel tank
Would a AEM 320fp be good for 550ish whp on e85 with a built head, stock block. FBO with 1300cc?
U probably have said it before but ..... but what do u think is the hp limit of stock evoX block on pump and on E85?
Patreon is a great idea bro...... however where do u find the time??? 😆
Hey Ive seen a lot of your videos and I was wondering if you could help me map what to do with my evo, Its my first fast car and I cant wait to get it more power. I know in most of your videos you bring up how much the fuel pump and fuel delivery matter so I was wondering what would be a good one for 93 and 85. I want to keep my car a stock block and eventually get a bigger turbo and better head gasket but that will be in time. I got a 2015 MR. Anything helps thanks so much!

Oh one last thing, I saw the video on how to get to 500hp and I was wondering if the Mr transmission would be able to handle that and also if the car would still be comfortable? Like I could still drive around town and not limit it to special events and track.

Adding power will always shorten the life of ur clutch packs. It would be a bit ruffer in-between shifts after tune.
Chemist at work...
Over 500 on stock block? #playingwithfire
2 hr labor to swap out fuel pump. Takes less then an hr lucky for me I do my own work..
2 hours labor to install a pump? make that money. at most 30 mins to do that job maybe an Hour if you don't know what your doing.
