why drill into the turbine inlet housing for your boost source to the boost controller instead of the charge pipe like most others do for controlling their wastegate/boost pressure? is there a benefit?

Any boost source location will work, from what I’ve seen in motorsport most go directly at the turbo for more precise and quicker measurement

Are you going to be using this for rally? That seems like waay too much power and lag. Also if not why not go for the G-25. Or G-30 if your going like drag or something? Just curious

The downside or side-affect of magic clicky fingers is it throws off the camera's focus.

Garrett 1st gen GTX series turbos were AMAZING when they came out in 2011....so, I can only imagine how much better the Gen II series has gotten! BOTH of those turbos are some bad b*tches.

Mike Pateras thanks for the fast reply man, wasn’t expecting it😄, just earned a sub. And do you think this turbo would work well with a 2.3L ecoboost mustang? Looking to upgrade it, and I have an upgraded cat back, intercooler, charge pipes, CAI, and blow off valve. Or would it be too much?

No problem, thanks!! Hard call if it’s to big, depends on the rest of you’re other supporting mods. You could look into a Garrett G30 as well.

@@bornaasi8734 no problem, people put them on 1.6 litre honda motors but the the smaller the motor the longer it will take to spool the turbo and get boost for the most part but a 2.3 should work perfectly. With a good fuel system, wastegate, manifold system, and a good tune, you can see usable boost numbers come on in the high 3000 to low 4000rpm range with these gen 2s. If your on a budget and dont want to spend $2500 for this turbo i'd recommend the "some" of ebay clones that have been proven to run for years with proper oiling, tune, and setup. like this one here: www.ebay.com/itm/GEN2-GTX3582R-Turbo-Dual-Ball-Bearing-82V-band-GTX35R-Anti-Surge-Turbocharger/114296689404 Not all ebay clones are alike so do your research on particular sellers, etc.) but the RacingFirst seller is the one that also have the turbo the BoostedBoiz and PFI speed guys have been using for years now making 700+whp and also made a deal with the turbo supplier to have their own rebranded versions of the same exact turbo but are marked up to $700 and are still using the Gen I models right here: www.ebay.com/itm/GTX3582R-Turbo-charger-GTX35R-Dual-Ball-bearing-Billet-Wheel-T3-Flange-AR-82/121203390079?
