Excellent video, very enjoyable and a very useful overview of the absolute jungle of rules that is Rogue Trader. Would you happen to know if there were ever rules for Eldar Scouts in Rogue Trader? I know that the first minis were released in 1988, but I haven't managed to find any rules for them before a 1993 WD article, which of course are rules for 2nd edition.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I don't think there were any special rules for Eldar Scouts until 2nd Edition - the big book of Eldar rules was really the Compilation and they're not an option there - although I believe Exodites are mentioned and they felt like they crossed over with Scouts. The Scouts are some of my favourite miniatures, they're iconic

Sort of wonder how players brought up on more recent editions would feel about the original Rogue Trader style of game. Also, wow, I've never seen that Chapter Approved cover before. Fascinating that the Heresy isn't mentioned until that, too, I guess my memories are getting fuzzy.

It was years before I even saw a Chapter Approved copy, I don’t think it was around long at all. I’ve done a full review on it in another video. There’s not even a mention of Chaos in the original Rogue Trader! Just warp entities and other creatures. It’s incredible

It was the first time the shuriken pistol had stats too, even though we had eldar with them for ages!

@@nutherefurlong we just had the big catapult, I think it was just overlooked. Nice touch was the weapons page was the back cover for ease of use.

Well, if a lot of them bought the RT reprint run, we might find out in a few months! I hope they tike it better, myself!

Haha! Yes, it will be interesting to see how that goes. Imagine if they did Rogue Trader like the Old World
