We had a terrible water crisis here, and many companies used it to gouge us. 😢 But Walgreens immediately sent extra bottled water here and gave those of us who were affected a discount at all stores!! ❤So I am a loyal customer! And I will look for Scrub Daddy there!

Its taking me a lot to write this post, but I feel compelled to do so... As a single mom of 2 who struggles very badly with depression, anxiety, insomnia, and self-isolation... this particular video really hit me hard. THIS is what my kitchen ends up looking like when I'm deep into my cycle... my apartment itself is piled with laundry, take out bags and clutter. There is floor space, but more like pathways than anything 'open'. It's humiliating, shameful, and I feel so horrible for my kids. When I finally come out of my 'dark spell' (which can last months), i look around me and can't believe what I've let our home turn into. It's so overwhelming and defeating. I'd hide away for months, not letting anyone in or letting anyone know what it was like behind our doors. It's all my fault it got that way... and my poor kids have to suffer with it because I put them through it. It took a massive breakdown and wanting to end it all for me to finally reach out to a family member for help. Thanks to her, I've been getting back on track these days... but its still hard. I'm still very much in my depression and I disassociate often, regularly losing pockets of time. Outside of this, I know I'm a good mom (believe it or not, i am). Any and all energy I DO have in me, goes into my children. My oldest has tourettes and a heart condition, needing regular therapy and appts. My youngest has autism, is nonverbal and we do 20hrs of therapy a week. Hes 3 and very active. Due to all this (+ a 2 year court battle for custody that finally ended) and regular hospital appts, I am (and have been) mentally and physically exhausted. I also haven't been able to work for a couple years... having to live off the system for help. As grateful as I am for the income, I feel terrible about it and feel like I'm a nuisance to society; like im "leeching off the system". I feel like i should be working inorder to feel 'human'. But my kids need me to be as present as possible, and take them to their therapies and treatments, so working is nearly impossible at this point in time. I cant divide myself into any more directions and still keep myself together... I'm REALLY hopeful to return once my youngest begins school... Both my kids have their own rooms and spaces that are safe; I make sure of it. It's the rest of my home that I can't keep up with and let suffer. It's a small, 2 bedroom apartment which the rooms belong to my kids (my choice, they need their own space), while I sleep in the living room on a twin bed. I used to sleep on a couch until I got the bed... im so grateful for it. But the lack of privacy admittedly only fuels my downward spiral... makes me feel very closed in. anywho. The reason I'm vomiting these words out and oversharing so much, is because your videos have been helping me to stay on task with my own cleaning, even though I'm still very numb and unenergiezed mentally. It's hard to explain, but even though it's babysteps, I know I'm getting better. THANK YOU for making these videos; for helping people like me get back on our feet. Even when you're not coming into our actual homes, your messages and videos still help us. Thank you for not being judgemental, for being empathetic, and understanding to us. You are so, SO APPRECIATED. ❤️

Thank you for sharing. Much love and best wishes for a happier new year to you. I hope you know that caring for kids is some of the most important work any of us can do. And that as far as coping in such stressful circumstances it’s all about baby steps. One foot at a time and with as much care for yourself too as you can squeeze in between all those appointments, even if that’s just drinking a cup of tea while it’s hot sometimes. Cos kids also need us to be as healthy as we can be so we can keep caring for them in the long run. I’m sure you know this, just a reminder cos I know how easy it is to forget amidst daily overwhelm.

As soon as he hears your voice when I start a video he comes running into the office, jumps up into my arms, and sits there staring at the screen for the entire duration of the video. Sometimes I might have a drink or something that blocks the screen from his angle while I can see over it, and he'll tap at it until I move it so he has a clear view. I don't know what it is that draws him, but he REALLY enjoys you!! I hope this amuses you as much as it does me.

I also have great faith in old fashioned Vim scouring powder that has shifter many stubborn stains but its getting harder to find now. I sometimes use a mixture of baking soda and citric acid mixed as a substitute and sprinkle ot on dry and then scrub off or I sunetines mix it into a paste and apply and let it work.

Best way to get rid of fruit flies is to grab a glass bowl with high sides, like a medium sized Pyrex bowl or ramekin, put a dab of dish soap in it, enough to cause bubbles, then fill it with water. Add a 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar to it and leave it on the counter. The flies will be attracted to the vinegar but get trapped in the bubbles and drown. Works quite quickly!

  • @jasminemorgan861

You can also put cellophane wrap/plastic wrap over the container and poke tiny holes in it to get them in and trapped. Or else we have also used mason jars filled half way with apple cider vinegar then made a funnel out of paper, taped it into the jar, and made sure the paper funnel didn’t touch the vinegar. They can’t figure out how to get out and get trapped in there.

I noticed a massive decrease in fruitflies ever since I started seperating my vegetable/fruit-garbage in summer. Winter is fine, but as soon as the sun comes out, you keep the vegetable/fruit-garbage in a large tupperware-kindof-box outside (or inside or in the hallway, next to the door.) I had about 6 flies last summer, that I quickly captured with a Snappy-flycatcher and threw back outside.

I got rid of them by pouring full strength permethrin liquid meant for outdoor pest control down the sinks and letting it sit for 24 hours. I got it on amazon for about $10 a gallon, it didn't take very much. They were breeding and coming in through the sinks, so doing this seemed to wipe them out quickly because the ones elsewhere in the house would eventually go back to the sink and die. Not recommended to do if you have kids or pets in the house, my kids were being fostered by my mom, no pets, and I wasn't scared of the chemicals pretty much because I was a recovering meth addict, part of my rehab after residential program was to clean my house because it was very bad, like this one. I figured if i could live through smoking meth daily for years I wasn't scared of a little bug poison. Kind of extreme measures but it worked very fast and very well. I will have been clean for 3 years in March 2023.

Scrub Daddy first went on "Shark Tank" in 2012 for Investment, so when you say "as seen on TV" its funny, as Google says: On the Shark Tank episode originally airing in October 2012, Lori Greiner made a 20% equity stake deal with Krause for $200,000. How much money did Lori make from Scrub Daddy? Lori Greiner's share in Scrub Daddy is now worth $60 million. How successful was Scrub Daddy on Shark Tank? After the first twelve months of airing on Shark Tank, Scrub Daddy has made over $30 million in sales. The company is on track to grow another 50% to reach $100 million in sales in 2022, Chief Strategy Officer Will Augenbraun said. That growth is in no small part due to the company's in-house social media team pumping out viral content. (Let's hope Auri made a good deal to get some credit.)

Yesterday I was sad cause I've watched all of you videos and has nothing to watch, then I've wanted to dye my hair but I couldn"t do it in my bathroom. So I started to clean it! Little by little - thinking what you will do first? I started collecting trash, sort loundry (and doing laundry too), then I collect and put all the chemicals and cosmetics to boxes and drawers in my bathroom, I sticked some hooks f.e. for my blow dryer and hair straightener and started cleaning everything there. It tooks me hours. Now I'm sitting with dye on my hair (my hair looked horrible for at least last half of the year) and while waiting for my hair I saw that you added new video ❤ thank you for all what you doing, I'm struggling with depression, anxiety and ADHD and my home very often looks similar to the ones you show. Here (US) in trendy homes the trend is to put a free-standing bathtub in the shower. At first, I thought it strange, then realized how easy to clean a tub like that. I have a feeling there are code reasons here in the U.S. that prevent a drain for the whole bathroom. If I ever build my own house, I will see if I can do that.

Weirdly I can help with this... it's VERY likely completely absorbed into the drywall - you won't be able to clean it truly. However, there is something you can do! First, you need to get some TSP (trisodium phosphate) and mix 1/2 cup of TSP with 1 gallon of warm water and gently scrub all the walls. WEAR. GLOVES. and cover the floor. It's required for working with this. Once it's dried, go to a hardware store and go into the paint, there is primer *designed* to deal with this. It will stop the absorbed reek from coming out. We've seen it done for smokers, hoarders... extreme soaked-into-the-drywall foulness. Look/ask for 'solvent-based stain blocking primer' or an 'oil-based primer'. This stuff smells horrific until it dries and takes a long time to dry, but it'll only take one coat typically before you can paint again. Make sure the primer is REALLY, really dry before you start. It'll also give you time to make sure no streaking has come through, but with the cleaning + this primer, you'll be set to paint with normal paint and the smell should be gone! (Beware, it's very likely soaked into the floor as well... carpet I would throw out. Hardwood, I would get sanded and get a new coat of polyurethane.)

I have brick walls that are plastered and then painted, so I'm not sure if this will work for you.. But when I moved into my new home, I bought industrial degreaser, its a red liquid that restaurants use in their kitchens. I sprayed that all over the walls, then sprayed some water over it after 5 minutes to keep it wet, then another 5 minutes, then degreaser a again, then again water. Then dunked a broom in clean hot water and scrubbed from top to bottom. I thought my walls were eggshell cream, after the scrub down they were a cool white!

If you are ever in Japan, I would be happy to volunteer. Disposing of trash is difficult here, and I believe a lot of people need help that live alone. They use a term "hikikomori." They don't like to leave their homes. If they live in a big city, its very easy to do because you can get food delivered from almost anywhere. Some of them are children who never went to school and basically just live off their parents for the rest of their life. I don't know how the rest earn income or if they are on disability, but it looks like a difficult life. Sometimes it gets tough for me to keep up with my chores, but then I watch one of her videos and I work on one room at a time, just like Auri.

Auri, in these houses with dirty laudry why not give the dirty clothes into a local launderette that can wash and dry them, often within a few days? Where I live its generally between 25- 35euros to get 3 big bin liners full of clothes washed, dried and folded or ironed. I can understand you leaving the clothes fOR the homeowner to wash, but the danger is with these people is that if there's a lot of clothes, they simply leave them and put it off until the clothes are forgotten about again and left there until they start to smell again etc.

I love watching you transform homes and helping those in difficulties. I would just ask if you could use rubber gloves when using oven cleaner. Using bare hands to wipe oven cleaner off surfaces could give an impression to some viewers that its safe to do so, and it's not. Oven cleaners like Mr. Muscle can dissolve skin to the bone, even after soaking in an oven for 24 hours. Also never use harpic toilet cleaner in kettles or where food is being prepared. It leaves a film on surfaces containing traces of the chemical as its clearly stated on the package. This cleaner is designed for toilets and drains only. Boiling water in that kettle releases the chemicals into the water and can cause poisoning, even after rinsing several times. Basically your method has damaged the kettle and its only fit for recycling. If you want to descale a kettle slice a lemon and add them to the kettle together with water. Leave the lid open to bypass the thermostat and boil near an open window for ten minutes to dissolve limescale. You can use that water to descale the sink and taps also. Just pour onto cloths and lay them on the surface for 15 minutes. I'm speaking as one professional cleaner to another. First rule as a professional is to always use the correct product for each job and never use chemicals where they are not intended.
