Miami Makeover | Free Home Cleaning for a Single Mom and Her Entire Family 🌴☀️

Hi! I’m Aurikatariina and I clean my followers homes’ for free! ❤️
Miami we are BACK!! You have been waiting for more Miami cleaning videos and here is an amazing one. This residents sister reached out to me asking help for her sister and her son. They had been living here and no one knew that the situation was this bad. Until the sister found out. The family had seen me on the news and decided to ask for my help. And I’m so glad they did!! This home was grimy and I mean grimy! The floor was covered with brownish gunk and I had to scrape each floor tile separately to get it off. The kitchen was sink and appliances were also covered with grease but you know That’s my favourite! The only part I didn’t clean was the fridge because it was going to be thrown out.

Just a note because I know Auri isn't used to cockroaches ... leaving fruit out on the counter is a cute decorating touch, but in an apartment infested with roaches, as soon as she leaves and the room goes dark the roaches will be all over the exposed food source. Decorate with something else.

This past Thursday I came home and smelled a terrible smell in my shed. When I opened it I noticed that our spare freezer had stopped working and the meat inside had defrosted and was rotting!! I managed to clean it out without being sick largely in part to thinking about you and how you would have loved it! I would pretend you were cheering me on. It really helped!! So, thank you for being my support even though you didn't know! Your cheerful attitude and love of cleaning is an inspiration.

Please don't say you are a loser because it's NOT TRUE! You cannot be expected, even by yourself, to know everything about appliances, cleaners, household objects, etc. from another country and culture. Shoot, most of us don't know too much about our own unless raised with the knowledge in our homes... So- you are a winner, doing exceptionally kind things for people in need and managing a sunny attitude at the same time. This is a marvelous gift and you are a generous and hard-working person. I appreciate you!-- Aside- the stove components are called drip-pans and heating units- at least, they were in my home in the 1960s. This style of stove is quite outdated now and means you are cleaning an older structure or a place where reconditioned appliances are common as this makes them cheaper. On most models, you can open the top- just hold on to a thickened part and lift up to make sure. Our stove was like that to promote cleaning and repairs...-- Enjoyed the video, as always. Bye!

On the stove, you should be able to open the top. You see where there is an obvious crease or opening just under where the burners are? It just pops up and then you can clean the flat surface underneath. You may have to pry it with a butter knife or your scraper if there is a lot of grease buildup. But, every electric stove with the coil burners that I have had opens this way. I'm not sure about the glass top, flat top stoves, as I have never had one of those. But, with the coil burners stoves you have to be able to lift up and clean because sometimes food boils over and runs down underneath. As far as the walls, they do need to be cleaned good and get all the surface dirt and grease off before any painting is done, so the paint can adhere good and have a smooth finish in the end. Thank you for helping this lady. What an amazing difference you have made. Can't wait to see the rest. :)

Auri, you're not dumb! Different appliance makers build different features into American stoves. In some of them, the top is hinged inside and you can actually lift the top shell and access the part under the burners for easier cleaning. One thing I wish American homes were plumbed for is the bathroom with the drain on the floor that you can just wash the walls and floor and rinse everything down the floor drain. That's genius!

The metal pans with the center opening under the burners are called drip pans. Someone described how to open the top of stove. Once you pop it up there’s a metal wire that you can hold the top up with so it doesn’t keep falling down on you! When you’re done cleaning the top you just undo the wire support down and let the top just fall back down into place. Fantastic job as always!! I would say NYC or LAX would be good big cities to clean. 💕

I love how you were talking about all the cockroaches in the apartments and homes. I have lived in FL for over 30 years and am fortunate to say that I never lived in a place with the little critters!! I would be moving out IMMEDIATELY if there were 😅 .. I can't stand bugs.. of any kind!! I don't know how you were able to clean with all of them running around 😳😵‍💫 .. I give you huge kudos, cuz I would have ran 🏃‍♀️ outta there immediately!! 🤣🤣🤣

Hey Auri, instead of bending down that might cause future back problems, I would suggest wearing cushioned knee pads when cleaning or picking stuff up from the floor. This has changed my life so much.

Look at the stove, above the oven door, there is a lip or long line crack, this is where you lift the stove top and you can clean what fell under the heating elements/coil. I'm also European and had no clue you have to lift it, and during inspection I got in big trouble because there were huge puddles of grime/coil and food stuff.

Hi Aurikatariina. You are providing families with hope and the desire to crawl out of despair. Melissa's sister put "fear" into her son not to tell anybody how their home looked because in the USA - especially Florida - Child Protective Services will remove children from the home. The son living with grandparents was a really good decision. The mother's depression would be 10 times worse fighting Florida to regain custody of her son.

Auri, you are the best! Thank you for making these videos to share, but did I hear you correctly? You like the roaches in Miami? Goodness! I was shocked to hear that! BTW: I wouldn’t mind watching longer videos where you showed some of the “boring stuff,” actually, that would be nice. Also, the longer the video the better. Love the content & love your voiceover & I love to learn from you too. And, in my humble opinion, I really enjoy it when you show the before & after, but you need to take a few more seconds showing the after. It just goes by way too fast to be able to get the details & appreciate them. Also, I wanted to say that your English is getting so much better, so fast! I am very proud of you. Learning a new language after being a grown-up is no easy task…Lord bless you & yours dear Auri. The USA would love to have you here permanently, I am sure! Take care. 💚

Props to you for all your hard work. It's truly incredible how hard you work. It's sad that people with kids live like this. There's been so much neglect, the landlords will probably have to pull out stove and repaint the entire place, (like you said) toss the appliances. Sometimes you can clean but it's just not enough when repairs need to be done. I'm surprised the landlords or neighbours or social services weren't called sooner! I hope this lady gets help too.

Honestly, central Florida could definitely benefit from some Auri magic! There are a lot of people with mobility issues and disabilities, but their isolation makes it difficult for them to get help. If you want to stay in Orlando, there are also lots of fun things in the area, like springs, kayaking, and manatee tours, not to mention all the theme parks, so you can take a break and enjoy some fun you-time between cleanings! Anywhere you go, try looking for areas with older populations, and Churches can be a good place to advertise. Even if church members themselves don’t need assistance, they usually know of a friend or neighbor who is struggling. (This is especially true in central Florida, because a significant portion of the population is much older, and much more likely to suffer from things like mobility issues and diminishing support systems.)
