I met Eric Roberts a week ago at a meet and greet and the guy is AWESOME. Just an awesome human being. Best of the best.

Mickey Rourke has a good, real spirit. He is probably impossible to live with, but he is an amazing, original spirit.

Eric Roberts is an amazing actor. He has always been and always will be my fav. I really have never seen anyone match his acting skills. The movie called: It's my party, is a classic example(and there are tons more). Check out the card in my pic, fuckin love that card

i fuckin love eric roberts too. crazy i was talking to my girl over the phone today and i was watching this and i was like omg eric roberts looks like shit. then i realized it was mickey rourke on stage then he goes "eric roberts is the man" then it really shows eric roberts (hella crazy coincidence)and i realized you know what, he really is a fuckin awesome actor. hollywood just got all googly eyed on his sister and forgot about him. everyone always tries to paint him as a fuck up but hes not

I was never a "real" Mickey Rourke fan in the past but I always liked him. But after seeing him do his acceptance speeches in his come back I immediately LOVED him! I have the upmost respect for him! I love him for keeping it REAL! He's not one of these fake ass actors being phony and saying what is politically/publicly correct! He says what he means and truly comes from the heart even if it may come across crass to some people! He is who he is and says what he means!! Got to love him for that!

Too right, he is a great actor. Robert Jr gets forgiven and Eric stays in the Oblivion side of Hollywood ignored. Why on Earth hasnt a film producer thought about Mick and Eric in a movie together since POPE is beyond me. The crap they made, they could atleast just do summat.

I think there was a domestic abuse case and he had some drug problems. Too bad he can't dance like Chris Brown or Bobby Brown or he definitely would have been given a second chance haha. At this point though I don't think there is a great vehicle for Eric Roberts because he's older now, he could do some straight to DVD movies like Van Damme I guess. Shame because he's definitely the best actor of the 80's action types.

@fede018 I can always see the strings in every one of his performances...Also, I thought that his "Capote" performance was tantamount to hitting one note for two hours. Terrible and grating, and it one him the Oscar. LA Times ran a piece on why PSH landed the hardware that year and Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain) did not...Turns out PSH plays the Hollywood game and Ledger wanted nothing to do with it. Politics as usual.

robert downey jr never acted in anything good ever ... less than zero? ... spader carries that movie .... mickey rourke is a great actor ....angel heart is unforgettable ... and eric roberts is one of the best american of the last 40 years ( along with the fucking man!! lance hendrickson) but eric will be a footnote to his sister ...because Hollywood takes care of its own when it comes to men only ...good looking girls are always welcome regardless of race or religion. ... if your adam sandler you can play an nfl quarterback, or kevin kline you can be a cowboy .... even though theres no way in hell that looks or feels right to anyboby....but if your a good ol boy from biloxi Mississippi, who has real acting ability or an ex boxer / hells angel with the same, and you make some mistakes the jews close the door ....if your robert downey jr, you smoke crack for 5 years and your welcomed back with open arms ..... we need less seth rogens and more john waynes .....

By the sword was pretty good. Eric Roberts has been in over 100 movies but yep, it's a little like Tom Berenger, a face one knows about but not a Hollywood A Lister. As far as Rourke is concerned, well, Angel Heart is the definite shit, it's way out there in terms of directing, plot, casting, acting, one helluva film.
