Era of Reclamation Ep.10: Reimagining the Black Curriculum

Discover how the school curriculum can be reimagined to be representative of Black British history and its relationship to African and Caribbean history. In this panel discussion, playwright Bonnie Greer and former British Museum Director Hartwig Fischer are joined by Lavinya Stennett, CEO and founder of The Black Curriculum, and Gaverne Bennett, teacher and creator of Black History timelines.
They explore: the challenges facing teachers today of delivering a more reflective curriculum; what museums can do to help; and how these changes could help all schoolchildren develop a better sense of identity.
