Hi diane
🙋🏽♀️for the Nordic KAL - I just made my first order with Honer och Eir for Nutiden yarn and have been considering the Lento (🤞🏽🤞🏽I have enough yardage) - I’m in! Thank you so much for sharing the footage and pictures from your trip, Bruges is a place I’ve always wanted to visit. It’s fascinating to see sights from Finland - thank you!
hopefully you won't be incapacitated for too long cyber hugs and good thoughts lovely video of the Finnish areas enjoy the trip to Montreal and safe travels keep taking care
Knitters are knitters regardless of where we come from! Kudos to you for managing with one carryon bag-having been unavoidably stuck in Seattle for three overnights I know how sick of your clothing you can become! Make sure you take good care and heal that wrist well!😢🧶🙏🏻
thanks for taking us along on your trip! heal fast and well! ☀️
Thanks for all the beautifull works and take care! Hope your whrist is healing well big hug Mieke
Sorry to see you with a cast. Finland is beautiful. My country is Norway. I need to go again and spend time with family. A Nordic knitalong sounds perfect.
Wonderful episode again, thank you! I hope you heal quickly!
Looks like you had a nice time. I come from Finnish and Norwegian ancestry and would love to visit either country. I never will so I loved seeing your video. So beautiful. Sorry you got injured, heal fast! 🌹
Prayers for healing Selma🙏🏻
Hi Selma. I am sorry that you fell and hurt your hand. I hope your recovery from your injury arrives soon. I hope you will be able to do more knitting. I know how much you like to knit. I think it is good to have a limit in how much we knit, as it is important to rest the arms, and we don’t need to overdo it. Your trip to Finland was great, and it is a beautiful country. It was great that you could visit your family and two friends; one of them is Jana who is a lovely talented knitter and I am Subscribed to her Channel and also the other lady. I hope your arm will heal as before. I fell numerous times in the past, and it is a scary thing and that can happen in life even if we are careful. Take Care. 😊
So sorry to hear about your wrist injury!! Hope you are well on your way to a full recovery. Great episode as always.
Thank you for sharing!!!!🎉
Selma, you don't know me and I don't know you, but I really enjoy your podcasts. I do hope and pray that you heal quickly and that you are not in too much pain!😊

Quick, easy recovery wishes coming your way! 💫
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Sorry you cracked your wrist! I broke mine in Dec 2018 (fell over the filing cart wheel) and had to have a titanium rod and screws. I used my crocheting and knitting to help heal along with physical therapy. They had me time myself at first and knit no longer than 5 minutes at a time to begin with. Speedy healing thoughts! Your trip looked wonderful!

Hello from Ireland, thank you for a very interesting podcast, I love your stripey Everyday sweater, looking forward to seeing it finished, wow that yarn shop in Finland was AMAZING. Sorry to see that you fractured your wrist.
Sorry about your wrist, Selma. I was struck by how good you look in your Anker sweater. That shade of blue is really nice. I look forward to seeing your footage of knit city Montreal next time.
I am so sorry about your arm, such a bummer. Hoping it heals in record time! I think a Nordic kal sounds great!
Thank you! Kiitos!
A Nordic Knitalong is a fantastic idea! Thanks for the lovely views of Finland. So sorry about your wrist injury - get better soon!

Hope you heal quickly. ❤
So cool to see you with Jana!!
Dear Selma, I have never been to Helsinki, however my two stepsons live there, and they are actually coming over for a holiday to Cyprus in a few weeks time. When I was pregnant with my first son, my father used to tell me I looked like a Moomin :) It's good to see you recovering and wishing you easier and easier days with lots of crafting from now on. Kisses. Ivana ❤

Speedy recovery, I hope you get well soon ❤️
So sorry about your injury. I applaud you for trying to knit. I broke both the ulnar and the radius bones in my wrist last Labour Day, so frustrating I know. I had surgery for repair with plates and screws and I did extensive physio after I got the all clear. My fingers were black and I had so much bruising after the surgery. I couldn’t knit at all for two months post op and even then it was painful. I still get a bit of swelling around the wrist but I am happy to report that I am back to doing downward dog and plank in my yoga practice. Nice to see you back and I have to say I was blown away by your Belgium vlog. Thanks so much for sharing. Hope you have a nice weekend in Montreal. ❤

I have wondered how long it would take before I could do yoga again!! It sounds like your fracture was a little more complex than mine which only in the radius. Actually there was the bit off the end of the ulnar but that didn’t require surgery. Glad to hear you have gotten just about fully there.
Glad you can knit a bit. Surgery makes all the difference. I couldn't do anything before the surgery. I can still only knit English rather than my usual Continental, my cast is a bit too high and awkward. Have fun at Knit City, looking forward to your footage, maybe next year...
Oh, Selma, it’s so delightful to have you back!! Wishing you a quick recovery, at least you can knit a bit! 🙏🏽 Enjoy the yarn festival you’re attending. A big hug and see you soon ❤
Wishing you a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 thank you for the wonderful podcast. Love the Way you share your travels.
So sorry for your wrist, wish you a prompt and complete recovery. Also sorry I will miss Knit City this year, Covid caught me. Thank you for all the charming footage of Finland.

Oh dear so very sorry to hear of your broken wrist. I had a similar injury many years ago, when at the age of 40 I took up rollerblading! Sending best wishes for rapid healing x

At least you were doing something more exciting!!
Two years ago I broke my right wrist and was in a cast for 6 weeks with another 4 weeks in a brace. It actually got me back into knitting as I used knitting to help rehab. I have full range of motion and good strength in that wrist and I attribute that to the knitting as the doctor did not expect it to heal as well as it did. A little bit built up over time really hoped me. I wish you the best with your recovery.
Wishing you a speed recovery!
Dear Selma, June 6 here, Calif.; just seeing news of dangerous smoke from wildfires up your way ... Courage, Fortitude and Safety ❤️❤️❤️💫🫶🫶 I hope your wrist is healing well🙏🍒

What a great trip! I hope your hand/wrist heals fast and without drama! Perhaps once you get to phisio, knitting will be considered therapy! Such beautiful cities and excellent filming.
I have the Anger Blouse int hat exact color! I made it last year and it was my third knitted garment and accidentally bought too much yarn so I made another in that color and black (I couldn't find the blue anywhere!). But I used Sandes Garn for mine. It looks like you had an amazing trip! I'm so glad you were able to spend some quality time with your family and meet up with friends! I don't know how you made it out of that yarn shop with only one skein! OMG the options in there were amazing! I hope you feel better soon and recover quickly!

Ooof! Your wrist! I hope the healing is gentle and expeditious. I loved the segments of your travels and hearing that you could be with family in Finland. I think the pink skeins looked pretty next to your complexion. Whatever they decide to become will be lovely! Happy healing and knitting.
I’m so glad you liked the mug Selma 🥰 Thanks for another great episode & I hope you enjoyed Knit City Montreal despite being incapacitated on the knitting front this year ❤

Oh Selma I’m so so sorry for you How easily these things happen Please take care sending lots of love from the uk xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dear Selma, I was so surprised and sorry to see your cast! But you seem to be making the best of it. I had an accident also find my gauge has gotten looser. I may try the Ankers sweater which you said is forgiving. I really enjoyed the travel footage. You seem totally comfortable traveling alone. Take care, Eileen

Hi Selma, I hope all goes well with your arm. Loved the glimpses of Finland, the incredible architecture and the music accompanying your footage. You were so restrained with your wool shopping!! Thank you for another fabulous installment :)
Putting Knit City Montreal on my bucket list. Went to Maryland Sheep&Wool and going to Rhinebeck in Oct., so I am about tapped out.
Omg, we were in Helsinki at the same time😅 we were on a quick "test trip" with our 3yo and 4yo from Tartu, Estonia. So we also got some Vappu feels when we happened to go to the Uspenski cathedral Sunday evening. There were a lot of students and a small band was playing (drums and brass). I didn't manage to go to snurre since we arrived too late on Saturday. But on Sunday afternoon I took a train to Oulunkylä because there was a Lankamaailma shop open😅 unfortunately Menita in the centre of Helsinki was closed due to some plumbing issues. But I got yarn, so all good😂

Thank you for sharing Finland 😊I have been following Finish knittingstories with Jana for a long time, and I really want to visit Finland. 😊 I live in Denmark. I hope your wrist will recover quickly ❤
I really enjoyed your Belgium posts. Actually Two countries I lived in, 2 years in Belgium and 5 years in London. Brough back memories. Thank you.
Thank you Selma for sharing the lovely footage of your time in Finland. I can totally relate to your wrist- I have broken my right wrist and over the years needed two surgeries on it. I found knitting to be the best exercise for me. I am currently knitting a cotton sweater and was having wrist pain so switched to square needles (Knitpicks four square) and immediately noticed a decrease in pain. Best wishes for your recovery !

I recognize one of the Moomin characters on your project bag!
I've been looking to your return and hearing tales from your trip, but injury was not what I had in mind! Thanks for producing another great episode despite your cast. Loved the scenes from Finland, thank you. May your healing continure to go well. Take care x
I traveled only carry on for 6 weeks with one backpack and a purse that fit inside it if I wanted. My best advice is don't buy tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner etc etc. Go with bar shampoo and conditioner! takes up way less weight. Also, even the cheapo little compression bags will do wonders for your packing. I also invested in a backpack meant for travel. It had straps on the sides i could pull to suck in the backpack if it wasn't super full so nothing would jiggle around. It is about 12x16" for reference.
selma, very sorry about your arm...I loved your filming in Finland I live in Montreal but my schedule is full for the week end..being a musician.... on the other hand, I will be very near you the last week of May..30th,,1 ,2, of June...I will be practicing concertos for two organs at the beautiful church St-Francois d 'Assise. fairmount and Wellington...the concert will be held a t the beginning of October. Last time I toured in Italy..I had just a carryon....what a tour de force with the written music and the conbcert gowns...!!!!

Hi Selma sorry you hurt your arm, speedy recovery to you. Thank you for sharing your trip and goodies. Looking forward to more podcast.❤
😢so depressing for you to have this injury, it’s even difficult to walk as it throws off balance. Loved tour trip videos. Finland looks flatter than I would have guessed. Sorry I live in warm climate of Virginia so hats mits and cowls are the only practical items of Nordic knits for me . Pleased take care!
Aargh I feel for you. Last Sept I broke the ulna and radius of my left arm near the wrist. I was in plaster for 3 weeks and although I tried, I couldn’t grip the needle. At 3 weeks it got changed to a fibreglass cast and then there was no stopping me! It looks like you’re healing very fast.

Thanks for the tour, loved it! Speedy healing for you😘
I am so sorry to see you in a cast. Wishing you a speedy recovery so you can finish your Corran. I really enjoyed seeing the footage of your trip. Looks like a fabulous time!
What a fluke accident but I know you will be working hard to mend it to knit knit knit !!! Omg your project blue and white striped sweater is gorgeous love love love Can’t wait to see it finished Beautiful pics and looks like trip was beautiful So happy you could do all that there thanks for sharing Have a great week !!! 😊💝🇨🇦
I hope your arm heals and knitting is just the thing for PT. Thanks for sharing a slice of Finland with us.
Eek! So sorry about your accident❤There is a one armed knitter on KZread-Mary Onehandknitter that explains how she still prolifically knits after losing her arm to cancer. I think if anything happened to one of my limbs, I would have to get a knitting belt.

So sorry about your arm. I broke my shoulder a few days before Christmas and it was a few months before I could knit. Glad you’re doing well. Lovely to see the mug by Julia Smith . She lives quite near me and I’m lucky to have a few pieces of work. Loved the music btw.
Thank you for sharing your travels. A Nordic kal sounds like a great idea. I have some Sandnes garn pattern books I have yet to knit from and this would be good motivation. I hope your wrist heals quickly
Kiitos ihanasta videosta!
Love your Anker. I knit the Tee last year. A wonderful pattern. Glad your trip was so delightful. Hope your wrist continues to heal.😊
Thank you for this podcast. Nice to see pictures of Helsinki, a place I visited a few years ago. It brings back good memories. Sorry about your wrist injury. I hope it heals quickly. I am also very sorry that I will not have a chance to meet you at Knit City in Montreal. I have other plans for the weekend. Enjoy your time in Montreal with the knitting community!
So sorry for your unfortunate fall! I wish you fast healing. Thank you for showing us Finland.
I hope that you will soon get better and you do not have too much pain. Greetings from Germany from Heike
Thanks for an awesome podcast! The yarn in the yarn store in Finland were beautiful, as are the scenes from Finland! Hope you make a complete and speedy recovery!🙏
A Nordic KAL is such a great idea! I'm currently waiting for a Swedish pattern release just this week. And Säie merino linen looked so beautiful and might just work. Always nice to get to know new yarns 🐑🐑🐑
