Love the Cute grey T... actually rather stylish; flattering on you and really nice with the blue skirt; I understand the thoughts regarding a split hem ... but the edge compliments the neckline so nicely and seems to be perfect already for the overall elegant statement - really; and, Agreed, Adorable bb sweater; maybe knit another for fun; an opportunity for gift giving will materialize 😊 What a fast recovery on your wrist! So glad you are feeling better , selma. It must have been so hard not to knit as much. You were saying you are doing exercises for your wrist . Are you taking collagen as well? I've been taking liquid collagen every day and my locked thumbs are now moving fine, my knee is much better and no back pain. It works wonders on joint and tissue.

Thank you for another wonderful podcast, Selma. I’m sorry to hear that your mother has been unwell and all the stress that goes with that. What would we do without our knitting? Your work is beautiful as always. As for the tea cozy, one idea might be to add the word “time” after “tea” 🎉and maybe even a clock. To my eye, that side needs something else. Thanks also for the garden tour. Until next time, take care, Eileen

Your new Ranunculous is so pretty in that lavender color. I am glad your wrist is doing well. I had surgery for carpal tunnel years ago and had to have therapy on the left one. The things they had me do did not look like they would work, but they did. So sorry with the struggles your Mom is having, that is so hard. I hope they get her better. I have a suggestion for your tea cozy, Selma. Make some paper copies of what you've done so far and sketch some ideas on the paper copies. Make the copies the same size as your felted pieces so you can get a good idea of perspective. I know it's not Japanese, but I think a Celtic knot could look really cool.

What delightful gardens, Selma, here in Norfolk in the UK my English cottage garden is looking a bit blowsy and frowsy, and the peonies have gone over, like collapsed can-can dancers and the wind has blown over my lovely hollyhocks, they need staking again. Oh my that is a serious plate in your wrist. Wishing you continued improvement with that. Loved seeing the summer patterns. I live in Ecuador where I don’t have a huge need for full on sweaters but summer tops are always a good bet. I started the Vellichor pattern but ripped it out as the cotton I was using was just coming out too big but I like the idea of using linen. Hope you have a great few weeks.

Wow! Thanks for mentioning Forever New (which I have in the house). Last year I knit Dreyma by Jennifer Steingass. A few wearings later, my husband noticed there was a brown stain SMACK IN THE FRONT, and on a light part of the colour work yoke.😢😢😢 I don’t even know what the stain was, but food of some kind. I tried Bunch of Farmers stain treater bar (usually works like a charm) and worked it in a bit, then rinsed. Nope, no success. It was in my “Someday “ pile for several months, but your success sent me straight to try Forever New on the patient. I just worked in the diluted product on the stained area. Ta-da! Not perfect, but pretty damn near! Thanks 🙏

Take good care of yourself. My parents are in the same age, it is difficult, because we care.. And that is a good thing. I am going to make the Vellichor too. Two things that kept me back, it is a lot of work and I could not decide on colours. But last year I was gifted Myak by Kim and Jonna , a couple of colours. So I wanted white for the MC, but it seems a difficult colour to get your hands on. So I ordered Holst with the silk( what is the name again) in a light colour So it is not happening this summer, but I thought I am going to start, knit a couple of rows every week, …or not….and somewhere in the future it will be finished( I hope). It was as always nice to listen to you, take care🙋‍♀

The top you are wearing looks really great on you and so does the Sophia scarf! The story about how your Dad kept all his buttons was really lovely....and how nice to use the buttons from him in things that you make and wear.

... Ranunculus sweater 👍🫶; my vote on tea cozy : so pretty; the waves against an otherwise blank canvas are PERFECT - d'après Japanese style - lovely; for the other side, maybe only a tiny tea leaf embroidered just above to the right of the word 'Tea' .... such a clever idea overall; LOVE every time your continued careful attention to all you do; the admiration of and gratitude for myriad yarns and patterns is PERFECT Knitting Fever 😁❤️we need multiple lives to do it all... and we never give up 💫😊Thank you Gorgeous Garden at the close

I am sorry to hear of your mother's UTI and resulting hospitalization. You seem to handle everything with grace and patience. I am very grateful that you make time for your audience when what you have on your plate would bring the average person to their knees. Thank you so much for your generosity by sharing what you are doing with your knitting practice. I would leave the detail side of the tea cozy as it is. I love the off-set pattern and the negative space. I think your sashiko stitching is very nice - it wouldn't be half as interesting if it looked like it was machine embroidered.

On the tea cost maybe embroider a tea cup or two. Or mugs - on the side with the word “tea.” On the other side maybe a bird or two flying over the waves.

Once again you have shown so many projects that I would love to make. Now to decide... Also, you might consider making three yoyos, in different sizes, out of the lining material for your tea cosy. You could place them on either the vacant space on the stitched side of the cosy or the "Tea " side. If you are leaving the Tea on its own you might want to make the letters bigger. It means ripping out though..... Love the idea of blanket stitch around the edges.

I thoroughly enjoyed your video today. Oh and so many glorious pattern suggestions. I fractured my wrist 8+ years ago and may have mentioned in a previous comment how grateful I am to be repaired and back to knitting and with a very strong wrist. I had some minimal distress the first few months with some minor aches and pains and tiredness but that quickly dissipated and sounds like like you are wisely not overdoing it so soon after surgery. Continued positive healing. And wishing the very best to your dear Mom as well. Healing and caring are art forms too. They take both a physical and emotional toll so take it slow and easy and allow for mind and body rest so you can continue to give, share and heal.

Hi Selma. I enjoyed seeing you here. Your wrist seems be healing well. So glad. I commend you for advocating for your Mom. Having worked in hospitals I can say that those people who have had family members going to bat for them did so much better. I have experienced this too. I love love love the new Ranunculous. Your perfect colour I think. I wish we lived closer. Nice to see you here.

Beautiful knits! Healing thoughts for your wrist. The smoke from the fires is making this summer very difficult to be outside at times in upstate NY. I hope the rain helps. The garden footage at the end was so inspiring! We have a groundhog in our garden whose preference is lettuce, spinach and kale.

I’m so sorry to hear about your mother in hospital Selma - hopefully she’ll bounce back very soon. I really enjoy all your inspirational and informative videos and I have a question. I have knitted socks with circular needles but I’m used to knitting in the flat way for jumpers etc. Do you know if there are still books out there with flat two needle knitting? Take care and enjoy the summer and I look forward to your next video. Thank you for all you do for the knitting community 💕
