Lovely seeing Brugge in springtime; lovely little town, kept so well. Special to know it became like this because of wool! Very important city for the 'lakenhandel' (wooltrade) in medieval times. Thanks for sharing Selma!

You write it the correct way, Brugge. I wonder why in English it's Bruges, and Brussel is Brussels? Loved watching this episode Selma, being Dutch I know both cities, I prefer Brugge (and adore Belgium chocolate 🌞). Looking forward to an episode with footage of Londen and your home country Finland! Enjoy your trip!
Thank you for taking us along to Belgium! Enjoy the rest of your trip. Salam wa sa’aadah
Seems you crammed a great deal into a short time. Terrific. Lots of beautiful wools! I love the bright gold with the blended one - blues but the yellow would tie in perfectly. Whatever you make will be lovely. Safe travels home.
Thank you Selma!!!! I really love your podcast!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Great travelogue Lovely Lady. The busy life you live and the number of knits you complete and still managing a family life too! You are an inspiration. In fact rearranging that, your family life does come first but your knitting and podcasting on top of the rest is inspiring to me as a wife, Mum and (slow but everyday) knitter. ❤️❤️❤️
Such beautiful cities of Brussels and Bruge. The chocolate and pastries are so tempting. I have been travelling thru Belgium from my chair as I watched the cycling races. Enjoy your trip

You visited my country 🎉. I live 1 hour driving from Brussels. Happy you loved our capital and Bruges wow 🤩🫶
Hello Selma, lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay in our little country. We are definitely well know for our beers, our chocolates and good cuisine. I guess that coming from the ‘new world’ makes you look to our old historical city centers like Brugge en Brussels in a different way. We are used to these views, I never traveled to your side of the planet so I guess wandering around Canada would also be very different for us, little Belgians. Enjoy the rest of your travels, have fun visiting your family in Finland and thank you for showing the knitting community our little corner the world. Greetings from Limburg, the north eastern corner of Belgium, Annemie 👋
Lovely podcast . . I too loved Bruges , Ghent is also very interesting ❤
I'm so jealous 😊! Thanks for sharing your travels.
Thanks for sharing your trip. So lovely to see Brussels and Bruge. I’ve been lucky enough to visit Bruge a number of times and have always loved it there. Have a safe onward journey to Finland.👍😊🧶
Enjoyed that so much! I was in Brugges for 2 days in 1992. Would love to go back someday.
Just awesome especially the boat ride and those buildings sitting in the water, the architecture is amazing and the sheer age and beauty of the place is just stunning. Thank you for sharing and your photography/videoing/editing is superb. Cheers from Down Under xox

Delightful tours in Belgium. Please talk more about converting Corran for lighter gauge yarn, I am attempting a 4 ply version as well. I agree with you that Mondim socks are super comfy, although they do wear thin eventually. Lovely podcast❤.
I also love being in a place where I am surrounded by different languages. My father spoke 10 different languages so I grew up with a love for language.

This episode is a nice surprise! Hearing you talk about all of the places and food brings back lovely memories of my trip to Belgium last year. Looking forward to hearing your carry-on experiment worked. Last month we took a 2 week vacation and packed significantly lighter than we normally do (couldn’t get it down to a carry-on, though!) - although I was very tired of the few clothes I had packed by the time we came home, it was something I will do again.
Brussels is beautiful, enjoy
Thank you so much Selma for taking us with you on your travels through Brussels and beautiful Bruges! I swear I put weight on just looking at all the chocolate and pastries! Sadly it’s much more difficult for we Brits to get across there now, having had our Freedom of Movement stolen from us in the greatest act of national suicide since Masada. And yes, I’m still angry and bitter about it, like millions of of other Brits too. However. I’m stunned that you are doing all this with just carry on luggage - my sister was an excellent ‘packer’ but I doubt even she would have managed to pare down to your level! 😁 Hope your time is enjoyable and fruitful, loved the yarn you bought, and look forward to seeing something of Finland as you continue onwards. x

I have impressed myself with my packing 🤣 I certainly cannot blame you for your bitterness!! I hope it won’t stop you from doing any travel though!! When travelling the good thing is all the walking so the calories are slightly mitigated by the movement… 😇😇😇
Hooking up again after a long time. I loved your trip.❤❤
