Bienvenue Louise!! Merci pour tes commentaires!! 😊🎉🥳
Gratitude for sure- grateful for the beauty of the snow, the comical wild turkeys(?) and birds literally eating out of the palm of your hand AND off the top of your head- had me laughing! As I had a COVID Christmas, I dwell on the gratitude that vaccines reduced the severity, that my daughter and son in law took such good care of me, that my flights cancelled due to weather prevented me from being stuck at YVR for days on end, for clear roads for my 3hour drive home that ended just as dark and new snow started falling, for on-line grocery ordering, for warmer weather that has now melted all 4 inches of new snow. I missed Christmas with my California kids, but at least I did not gift them with COVID and we will celebrate a late Christmas when my health improves and the air lines regroup and the weather co-operates. All good in the end. You have certainly had a big year of sweater making and your lovely parade and review inspires and assists with pattern and yarn choices. Knit on and thanks for so generously sharing your knitting journey and your life in Ottawa in all its glory. Here’s to 2023 as the adventures continue! From Kamloops BC!

So many beautiful knits Selma and as usual a very enjoyable episode! Thank you so much for mentioning my little podcast on your previous one. I've been watching your episodes a lot since my littlest was born, usually up nursing at night, and I felt so chuffed that you'd seen my pod as well! ❤️

Yoda is such a handsome cat. You live in a gorgeous area...wild turkeys at your feet, birds that will eat out of your hand and the seeds at the top of your hat 🥰. So cute and so calming and beautiful. It's a very lovely area. I loved all your sweaters but I had my favorites. I am partial to the first one you showed it was a cream color, then my second one was the sweater made from Acme undyed fiber yarn which is scratchy but gorgeously heavy and warm....love it and of course the stunning red ranunculus. You had a prolific knitting year. Thank you Selma for showing us all your lovely sweaters.

Wow thank you so much for another lovely podcast. Love all your sweaters they are all amazing. I also made the Stripes sweater at the beginning of the year and I love it too. I have knit a lot this year with Stolen Stitches Nua and I must say I absolutely love it I even got a voucher for Stolen Stitches for Christmas so I'm looking forward to visiting the shop to spend it.
I agree about that pink vest! It really is the perfect pink and looks lovely on you. Thanks for the reminder about the LBK connections MAL. I'm glad I saw this video before 2022 was over 😊
Thank you for sharing. Loved the end where the birds were feeding from you😀

Thank you for showing your beautiful projects; I want to knit so many of them! I too love the hot pink Sonder yarn. The green Peerie Leaves and red Ranunculous sweaters look particularly nice on you. I’d keep the Pressed Flowers hat as it’s quite flattering on you.
I love the bright pink. A happy color for sure.
An online Canadian company call Wild in the Woods located on the West Coast of Vancouver also sells unspun wool. This is their own brand and it is 100% rustic Canadian wool undyed 1ply 400yds in 200 gram discs. I ordered a disc to try it out and this yarn IS next to skin soft right out of the package. It's gorgeous!! I received from Mont Tricot yarns my order of one disc of Manchelopi unspun yarn to try and it too is next to skin soft right out of the package and the bonus with this particular yarn is it's a 2ply so you can split the yarn to get a fingering weight. The Manchelopi unspun yarn comes from Spain I think.
A really beautiful podcast that I watched while I have to rest due to health issues. It makes my heart full of joy. I have decided that I will make a journal of gratitude too, because even if I have several chronic diseases, I have a lot of things which make me grateful every day...Thank you so much !

What a lovely parade of sweaters and so inspiring. Thanks for sharing details about how yarn is standing up as I find it helpful. I just finished a sweater for my oldest daughter who lives in Ottawa and I used shetland wool with a strand of mohair for that extra level of cozy and warmth in the minus 20's.Hoping your 2023 is full of more yarn goodness and gratitude.
I enjoyed the review of your sweaters, I admire you for doing all those in one year! They are all beautiful. My goal for this year is to make a ranunculous, I know Ispelled that wrong, but I love that sweater. I have to reprint the pattern because my printer was acting up. I love the pink sweater, gorgeous color!

Hi Selma, First, I would like to mention the Pressed Flower Hat. I was so impressed on how well it suits you. Lovely, just lovely! Secondly, pinks, purples, blues, mauves, reds, greens, creams, taupes, you wear them all well. So you go girl! Your sweaters are all striking on you. And I am grateful for all the content you share with us. Here in Central California, we are blessed with country living. With a view of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and surrounded with vineyards, pecan, pistachio, almond, and walnut trees, citrus and abundant fruit trees. But, I do miss the experience of living in a winter wonderland. Which I experienced while living in Idaho for about eight years when our children were youngsters. Thank you for sharing. Happy New Year! StitchedbyMimi

Thank you Selma! I'm watching this on the morning of the first day of the new year, and you have truly inspired me about the journal of being grateful for people or things the God or the life has given us. In fact we have this in our common background (or culture) with you. The word for greatfulness is şükran and the verb for being grateful is şükretmek. That is something my parents have preached me to do as long as I can remember. It's believed to be a healthy practice for the soul and the mind. Thanks for inspiring me to get into the habit again. Have a happy happy new year!

I love your sweaters... I found it very informative and motivating. The one thing I'm taking away is to stay with more basic yarns. Some of the newer luxury combinations seem to have pilling problems.
