Saw it live last week in Glasgow . Brilliant.

For me the woman's vocals were the best thing about this track. Add a hurdy-gurdy and a blast beat and we've got ourselfs a party.

That's the first reaction of every metalhead first time listening to Eluveitie...I was a fan since I was a child when I first heard Inis Mons.

Wow, when i saw you were reacting to Aidus i tough you already into Eluveitie! Usually most start with Rebirth or Ategnatos; that i do suggest. As always i really enjoyed your reaction to this one!

Saw these guys in a tiny club in Raleigh NC probably in '09. It was Pagan Fest with Enseferum, Tyr and Turisas. Eluveitie were amazing. The lead singer played an electric lute. Check out Tegernako off their first album. That was probably the first song I heard by them.

I love the Eluveitie break off band Cellar Darling. Not an afficionado but this is the heaviest Eluveitie I've heard. Pretty darn good.

Such a talented band right here. So heavy and majestic at the same time. You should check out two other sick songs by them called "Call of the Mountains" and "Rose of Epona". They are my favorites by them, you will definitely both enjoy them.

The Swiss Christian «Chrigel» Glanzmann is the mastermind and growler. He had the idea to combine folk and growls and founded Eluveitie in 2002 as a solo project, which quickly became a band. But there were many changes, for different reasons. In 2016 there was a heated argument while recording an album. Singer and hurdy gurdy player Anna Murphy and two members left the band to form prog metal band Cellar Darling, including Hurdy Gurdy. CELLAR DARLING - Avalanche (OFFICIAL VIDEO) Chrigel has to finish the recording with a backup singer and starts the tour with another one. The position of the hurdy gurdy could be replaced faster with Michalina Malisz. During the tour, Fabienne Erni comes and takes over the microphone. This year, the hurdy gurdy player decided to sing and left the band on good terms to start her own: LYRRE - North Star (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) In the meantime, Fabienne has completed her singing studies with a master's thesis: founding a band. However, she is still the singer of Eluveitie and Illumishade only performs when Eluveitie allows it: ILLUMISHADE - World's End (Official Music Video)

Dont know how i missed this one. So this is what i call blackened Celtic. I would have started you with Inis Mona, or maybe even Call of the Mountains...& then my favorite, Tegernako. Another similar band (blackened Celtic) is Suidakra... Both bands feature traditional Celtic instruments mixed in with black metal stylings. There's something really powerful when you hear the blend of the hurdy gurdy, guitars, bagpipes, + bass & drums... But i also understand...this style is not for everyone.

The three levels of Eluviete. Firstly this . The heavy stuff. Folk metal at its finest, no holds barred. Chrigal singing (See Rebirth, thousandfold, inis mona etc). Second, the female led more folk rock side. (Exile of the gods, call of the mountains , rose for epona etc) Thirdly just folk music . Most of evocation 2 plus other stuff..

Got a band that you probably haven't heard of but you should check out the band Battling Delirium and the song Tantric, they will surprise you in more ways than one, and when you hear them tell me who you think the singer sounds like? I'll give you a hint, with the singer's voice sounding similar to another of one of your favorite bands that you've covered on the channel, you'll get a 3 in 1 band with similar styles to the artist that you reacted to before. BTW they have a lot of good songs.

You have to like Eluveitie, folk metal is not for everyone, but they are something of the best 👍🤘❤️🇨🇭Everyone comes from Switzerland, Chrigel the singer is so talented and everyone else too, I liked Anna the first singer better, but Fabienne doesn't do it badly either. 👏👏👏It's worth listening to more songs: Rebirth, The King, Ategnatos, Call of the Mountains......... 👌💥

What is Eluevieite? Well they are their own thing. Think of them like Queen in some ways, they are not a single style, and experiment a lot.
