Overall a good demonstration/explanation of the K4. Refreshing to see a KZread video where the presenter is not a loudmouthed goofball. Eric is a natural in front of the camera. I appreciate the fact he’s not pandering for “thumbs up” and for us to “smash that like button” every 2 minutes……….A professional & informative video all around.

Thanks spending the time to focus on good production quality. Good audio, good lighting, tight edits. It doesn't go unnoticed.

I wish you guys had something like this but with all the VHF/UHF bands like the Yaesu FT991A. I have the KW TS990S and the Icom 'twins' but would gladly upgrade to a high-end all in one if it ever become available.

I own a KX3 for about 10 years and there is still a "TBD" in the menu :-( (S-Meter Mode)...

I’m wondering if the tuning knob is weighted or not?

What microphone are you using in the demo?

I didn't see a mic used in this demo, but on the Elecraft K4 Ham Expo Presentation 3/12/22, the silver mic that Eric is using is an Electrovoice 638 Microphone. It was sold by Heathkit. Unfortunately, they no longer sell the mic.

how hard would it be to add the kpa500/kat500 to the K4?

It just requires two of our 15-pin AUX cables, which we sell as a pair in the KPAK3AUXSET cable set.

What is the monitor sitting on top of the K4?

Hmmmm.... New HF operator here looking for a rig ... like the video and I like USA built .. but if people are waiting years even b4 covid after giving up money with no real ship date I'm a bit sad. also seems they are droping the k3 on the web site if I'm reading it right. Elecraft be nice if you could post a reply and how things are going.

I ordered mine 2 years ago. When will I get it?

@@ElecraftChannel I do not have a group number. My order was placed on September 15, 2019. I did not give you an interest free loan. Thus I am guessing there is another year to go?

@@K1OIK I believe the pandemic really made it hard for a lot of companies. Even car companies have hard times to deliver so even if it was a bit delayed to begin with the pandemic probably made extremely much worse. There is an extreme shortage of components in the world.

@@larsmark They promised delivery November 2019, BEFORE the pandemic, then April 2020, then September 2020, then October 2020, finally they started in April 2021. Plus they rarely update, on the web page the last update on shipping was in April, yet they have the time to make a video (albeit excellent). There was not a shortage of components in November 2019. On a QRZ forum there was concern depositors would lose their money. I was told 4 months ago there was no doubt I would have mine by September, foolishly did not ask what year.

If they had left the Touch Screen Crap off I would have considered it as my next HF Base but it’s off the list.I guess I will buy an ICOM 7800 or another ICOM 7600.
