if he was doing that then he wouldnt be able to focus on the shots and the order of the shots necessary to win the game since its not about only pocketing a ball one at a time but also setting up your next shot with the cue ball and thats only 1 shot, you need ot basically map out which shots to take in which order to take them to yeild the easiest possible position for every single shot, so you need to calculate what ball to hit and where u need the cus ball for the next shot, on top of figuring the order of the shots so you can have the cus ball in the position after each shot for the following shot, times that by the number of balls the player need ot make and you see the game is more about stragtey and realization of the order of shot needed to clear a certain rack

Yeah man it's almost strickland had a meltdown in the end, fouling the ball hitting it w/ his stick, so much frustration running in his head, he had a freakin 17 RACK LEAD, and he blew it away, he was getting outplayed, then mentally he just crumbled in the end.

Srickland is a great shot maker. He never missed (or rarely missed) a makecable shot. But then, so is efren. The difference is efren's overall in-depth knowledge of the table. His superb skill on angles, kicking, trick shot and other weird shots that earned him the name 'magician' that he consistently applies to overcome obstacle. Strickland once told efren that he was just 'lucky' when making those weird shots. Efren's response? '...how can i win (against you) if i don't make those kind of shots!'

You people do not have a clue about what the fck it is you speak of. Efren may arguably be the best billiards player in the last 40 years but make no mistake about it Earl Strickland is a fckn G. If Earl Strickland had the mental fortitude that Reyes has there would be a different conversation. Make no mistake about it the problem with Earl is his mental fortitude not his playing abilities

Robert Gallo like, for example, you have to know your table each and every time. When he see that some balls in a very bad position, he can just failed a shot purposedly, let the enemy clear the other ball the the bad positioning ball, enemy failed the shot, he can finaly shot the bad positioning ball since the position is changed. Less energy used since the enemy is clearing most of the ball, but he can still finish the table. I mean, it's just one of the possibilities. There's a lot of reason that we don't know yet

Earl ran out of cocaine toward the end. Check that insane look in his eyes. He looks like an angry hillbilly at a bar getting ready to fight, a wife-beater before a rampage or after he gets caught. Earl imagined he could win through drug enhanced stamina. But he forgot that Efren is naturally accustomed to playing all day and night his entire life. Reyes is a patient, intelligent, wise man who embraces games of strategy like chess and all forms of billiards. Even Earl's natural talent and fierce competitiveness is no match for the Filipino's gracious cool calm determination. Efren never came unnerved. Earl's loss was deserved. Justice was served.
