diploma or certified are two diff things; a chef goes to University and works hard under the direction of a master chef for years usually owning their own restaurant. A cook just words hard but not saying your not a good one just a difference in what is considered a "real" chef which has a staff under him and runs the entire show.

I love lamb chops! My mother would salt and pepper them and cook in a cast iron skillet….just delicious! The last time I had some, we were on an unscheduled layover in New Zealand waiting for our plane to arrive to go to Perth, Australia. The airport fed us from a buffet. I spotted lamb chops prepared exactly like my mom’s, so I embarrassed my wife by getting g 10 of them with nothing else other than a drink! Oh, they were so good!

Debbie I am from Australia and still here and lamb was a staple of most Australian homes. Lamb chops during the week and a roast leg of lamb with roast vegetables and gravy or a mint jelly to go with it. Now we send most of our lamb to export and we have some of the best lamb in the world apparently. I have never tasted gaminess in lamb not once in all my life and I am 65 now. Lamb is a farm "domesticated" animal right along side of beef and pork. I've had goat before and didn't find it real gamey not like wild rabbit in rabbit stew. Goat should be slow, slow cooked and it is some of the tastiest meat out there. You just have to want to experience different foods. Michelle

You set it up in a circle with one wicket at the center of the circle. Your starting point and the one directly across each have 2 wickets to go through. The rest have one.

I cook lamb often in Middle Eastern cuisine and in my experience when I rub the lamb down with spices and oil before cooking it gets rid of the gamey taste. Your way of preparing it by coating it in herbs, spices, eggs and bread crumbs and frying in butter is probably to credit for neutralizing the gamey taste. Sometimes you just get a bad cut though that is just a little more gamey and goat tasting. 😂

Watching this video today reminded me of when my family used to go camping in the mid late 60s and 70s. We all love the outdoors, and my stepmother had to be pretty innovative to figure out ways to feed five hungry kids, and my dad, and whoever else came by the campsite. I wish she were still here and I could share some of your tips and techniques with her. She would have liked that! She cooked a really good stew in her deep iron pot with a lid on it. But she put a layer of biscuits on top of the stew and piled ashes and coals on the lid and all around the base of the pot. I knew when she started playing in the fire that we were in for something good. She even baked a pie like that one time. Anyway, you all look like you're having so much fun, despite the heat. Blessings to you both! 🥰👍

Remember, "Good food, good meat, good God, lets eat!" Young lamb with the fat trimmed off won't be gamey. You may have had mutton (mature sheep) which has a very strong taste. And, if it gets Justine's seal of approval, you know it has to be good!

....I am very particular about Lamb, and I cannot eat it unless it's cooked a certain way. The best Lamb I ever had, tasted like that, similar to beef. It was cooked on a Rotisserie spit and glazed with an amazing sauce, but nit quite " BBQ Sauce ". Even my children, who are in junior high school at the time, did not know what this was when they were eating it and I did not tell them...lol ! It was a barbecue party that we went to and everybody brought a side dish and the host was providing the meat ..He had two of these on the Rotisserie and it was absolutely DELICIOUS and it did not taste gamey or anything like that..... I can't eat stuff like that. They ate two helpings, lol. Wonderful job on this, Miss Justine !

The summer is why so many pioneers built porches on their cabins. It gave shade and a place to work outside of the cabin. Your outside oven and a "campfire" would be most often used cooking places. You need to get Ron to build a roof over the oven and the fire ring so you have shade and some protection from rain. Ron, you ought to hold a shoot sometime. If you remember the prizes were a butchered ox, it's hide and tallow. Since there are so many wild pigs you could shoot for the pork, hide and lard.

Baseball history... The game of rounders has been played in England since Tudor times, with the earliest reference being in 1744 in A Little Pretty Pocket-Book where it was called base-ball. In 1828, William Clarke in London published the second edition of The Boy's Own Book, which included the rules of rounders and also the first printed description in English of a bat and ball base-running game played on a diamond.

Your chickens are so well behaved. Our chickens would be on the table trying to eat our food. Especially when it looks that delicious!

croquet is fun, although I haven't played in years. It is considered an "upper class" game, but my grandma had a croquet court set up behind her trailer when I was a little girl. I think you guys will enjoy it.

Another amazing meal and in that heat too. I would have eaten outside as well. It was real pretty to see. I'm not a summer person, can't take the heat. I more enjoy the fall as I would have more energy plus bonus..less bugs 🤗

This casserole looks sooo good. Yum! But girlfriend, how many times are you going to mention that Ron hasn't been able to afford lamb ? Then it's like- Ron can't afford lamb so I didn't want to ruin it. Stop throwing shade on Ron!! Lol 😆

All the lamb I've had was seasoned with rosemary. So good! Lol I love watching the chickens walking by and hanging out with you while you eat. Such a beautiful and colorful setting to enjoy food in. Thank you again 😊 I can't get enough of your videos.
