Im new to the channel and so far I'm blown away by your content. You mentioned suggestions for future recipes. Have you made an anabolic lemon meringue pie by any chance? My grandparents always bring over a homemade pie when they visit but I either don't eat it or have to plan my day around eating it. Would love to see their reaction if I made your lemon meringue recipe and to hear their thoughts on it seeing as nobody else in my family cares about calories. Keep up the good work 👍

Can't you use the fat from dark chocolate instead of oil ? It would increase the chocolate taste and still have the fat. Or maybe both : 20gr of 90% fat chocolate (that's about 10gr fat) plus 5-6gr of oil to still get that texture ? Great work.

I made this 2X this week, 1 microwave and 1 oven. Here are my thoughts: 1. Probably the sweetest tasting anabolic recipe I have tried. I like sweet, but maybe a little too sweet for some if using 60 grams of Swerve. I am interested in trying the King Arthur one you like. 2. Oven turned out better for me but both had a similar issue: the middle being underdone while the outside being overdone. It was almost like Greg's lava cake but not as dry. I used Nick's (E4CM) frosting from the Frosted Animal Cookie blizzard on the outside and the dry parts weren't noticeable. 3. I think it was very filling. I know some commented that it isn't "high volume." I think the sweetness and density of it makes it very filling. I honestly don't want to eat anything right now after having it. I am looking forward to the day you make a lower calorie Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo recipe! Keep up the great work!

@@MinaAyoubChef I don't know if boxed cake is an abomination in your eyes, but Swerve has their own boxed chocolate and vanilla cakes. It is not "Anabolic" but is relatively low in carbs, using almond flour. I have only made chocolate so far, and it tastes good with a crumbly cake texture. I did make and enjoy your new shortcake recipe this afternoon and will give a more in depth review on it later! 😁 Stay safe!

Dude man, I am not trying to be that guy. I'm also sorry in advance for the novel you are about to receive, and that this is going to get super complicated. TL;DR: The sweetener you're using definitely doesn't have zero calories (duh, we all know they round down, but it's totally negligible, right?). Hard to say exactly how many calories (as an aside, I hate that ingredients exist where that's the case), but it is at least 35 calories for the amount you're using. Troublingly, they've decided 4 grams of matter are explained in 2 grams of macros, and some shenanigans definitely occurred. They're nice enough to imply that 1 gram of a serving is erythritol and 1 gram is probably the soluble corn fiber (based on ingredients order, elaborating more on that shortly). Given there is zero water weight (it's a powder), and everything else of metric substance in the ingredients list of that sweetener is nutritive (Erythritol: 0.2kcal/g; Allulose: 0.4kcal/g; Soluble corn fiber 1.9kcal/g; and cane sugar derived fructan fiber...which is just another soluble fiber, so we'll just assume 1.9kcal/gram) they're taking A LOT of rounding liberties. We can reasonably assume the ingredients are listed by most to least abundant, but we also know that by the time you get to monk fruit extract (based on its sheer sweetening power; lowest end of range is 150x that of sugar), it can't be more than 0.027 grams of mass per serving, otherwise it would make the resulting serving size sweeter than sugar, and this is a 1:1 replacement. And so, everything thereafter is equally or less substantive. Long story short (which left the station a long time ago), I have a sneaking suspicion that its 4g serving size is basically ~1 gram of the first 4 ingredients, each. If that's the case, and I really super duper hope it isn't, the 60 grams you're using would be 66 calories. Given that's like 19% extra, it becomes less negligible. Something like an erythritol/monk fruit (1:1) replacement would be like 12 calories for 60 grams used, and I can't see how that would negatively change the flavor profile. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Unfortunately this recipe is not anabolic. Anabolic recipes, according to Greg Doucette are low calorie dense foods that are high in protein; this is a nearly 400 calorie mug cake! I mean holy hell, most of my full meals are around 400 to 500 cals. This is an extremely high calorie dense food.

I understand mina wanting to up the taste /texture but i partly agree with you. I made it this morning just to test it. It's tiny for the amount of calories it has (i even used lower fat milk and i counted the calories to 382..) I tried the ovn / microwave it didn't get that much rise either. It was just a flat dense cake. It definitely did tasted good tho! But i think you'll be just as/more satisfied with a slice of actual cake next to a protein shake at this point.. I'm going to try substituting some things to see how much of the taste i can keep and without having that high amount of calories. I kinda wanted something else filling protein rich as quick night snack to make instead of the anabolic Icecream (xanthan/guar has been bothering my sleep a lot lately)
