    I had more than 30 LD's, and I can tell you, forget reality checks, it's waste of time, all you want to do is to go to sleep early, wake up 4-6 hours before sleep, then just try to sleep back, if you achieve, your chance of becoming lucid is like 70%

    Even without the dream incubation part and scripting lucid dreams I find that simply scripting dreams I'd like to have here and then are very beneficial for dream recall and lucid dreaming. It builds a stronger connection between me and my dreams. I often do it before going to bed and it would lead to a night with very good dream recall. Will add the reality test and lucidity to it now, somehow I didn't think of it. I add it to my real dreams all the time "here I should have tested". 😅

    Firstly, thank you so much RainisaurusRox, you're brilliant. And yes you're absolutely right - anything we can do to focus our minds on the task at hand is beneficial - mostly this subject is learning to navigate our incredibly distracted minds. If we can also add shape and structure to our goals, that is another means to improve focus. Another factor is memory formation, as covered in the memory peg technique, the more sensory and well formed our imaginings, the better chance they have of taking root!

    Ah yes, you've hinted at what I was going to say this reminded me of! I remember when I was exploring/partly in that community, I had this really long and drawn out script that I would look over everyday. I threw it out when I found it again, but I'm somewhat excited that those practices can actually be beneficial for something logic-based and not twaddly. I haven't had a dream goal for a while, mainly because nothing strong was drawing my attention (and there was a dry patch in lucidity), but I've been thinking about a particular goal for a few days now. This video seems like perfect timing in that regard! Besides needing to dream journal, I definitely will try this out (probably after I run my errands today)! Fantastic video and thank you so much for the advice that you give in these videos!

    Haha I’ve definitely had fun in a long term lucid dream following a similar method during the pandemic. I met up with my friend in the past. Then spent the whole time trying to come up with a way to determine if we could track the changes made in the past when I woke up. I called my friend, and they laughed and said “Well either I’d just remember it and it’s because it’s the past, or I don’t cause it didn’t happen”. I never could get around the paradox. For now it’s just super fun, but maybe one day when we can record dreams to video, we can cross reference them with surveillance camera data and see if anything has strong enough correlation to validate. For now I hope people just get to experience what’s possible - defy physics, sense impossible things, reenact the past with a better perspective and mindset. 💕

    Maybe this is a good way to use my strongest dream sign! I dream several times every week that I'm fishing on a body of water, catching fish, seeing people, having problems with tangled fishing lines... I went fishing a lot in my youth, but I don't do it anymore, but dream scenes with this topic are actually the most common for me. Unfortunately, in my years as a lucid dreamer, I never managed to become lucid even once, which I don't care about can explain! So tonight I'm writing a script with the topic of fishing, it should be quick enough for it to appear in my dreams!

    Ahh, I remember my reality shifting era. I was 15 and skeptically optimistic. I think 15-year-olds are allowed a pass on believing naive stuff. Though, it's actually my experiences from that time that I refer to when considering what might work for me in terms of lucid dreaming now. It's incredible how similar the reality shifting and lucid dreaming communities are. The Shifting community is just a bit more... desperate, I guess? It's definitely much more spiritual too. A lot of talk of astral projection and crystals, which, good for you if that's something you can take comfort from, but it isn't something you see often in LD spaces. Other than that, the techniques and general vibes in the communities are very similar. Probably because reality shifting is just very vivid lucid dreaming, but who wants to pop their bubble, am I right? It's a very nice bubble, can speak from experience, I've been in the bubble. 9/10 bubble.

    Well back in 2014 I started practicing to lucid dream took me like years not everyday just from time to time and it worked on 4 dreams 1 of them was like eeh I realized that am in a dream at the end so it was pointless but 3 of them was the best ones that I'll never forgot it Sometimes before I sleep I always wished that when I sleep I can control my soul and walk away from my body that's why the only way is by lucid dreaming and I did it and walked around my neighborhood as a soul "kinda" and I was controling my movement as I want and I discovered something about dream I don't know if anyone knows that all dreams have blurry eddges all the focus is in front of you and the edges are blurry and there's no details on both sides left and right only infront like you watching a TV from a far I can't explain it correctly My technique to lucid dream every time i dream i record a voice of that dream immediately after i wake up and i listen to the voice and remember the dream every details are important and i be honst it was easy for me and its fun like you discovering something that even humankind don't know how to explain it 😂

    I guess the closest I have done to this was writing a dream goal in my journal and then the next night having a LD in which I remembered to attempt that goal. I feel a little odd about imagining a whole detailed script of an imagined dream. I struggle to think of what I would *want* to dream about. The dreams I have typically seem to be things I feel like I'd never think up in waking life. I feel like it will be less creative than what I would actually dream about. But maybe this exercise could also be a good practice for increasing creativity, as I will feel motivated to come up with a more creative script than I would otherwise come up with.... Hmm.

    i have never tried this but i think if i want to start with techniques (now that i can Lucid dream more often (every month one or two Lucid dreams) i think i'll start with this one because it feels fun, also relaxing, and a bit easy and not make my sleep any worser because of battling myself into an Insomnia. however, i'm not ready yet because i feel like i keep forgetting to writing down my dreams at the moment and i feel like i'm slacking this month. i try to remember the dream, write it down, while i lay in bed on my side, but then two minutes i'm asleep again, dream some more, and forget that other dream, whilst also not wanting to write the newest dream because it feels like i dont deserve to write another dream when i forgot to write half of the other one. also no sketches that day so that dream is going away forgood untill i can read my own bad handwriting lol. what should i do to write the dreams again, making sure to remember most of it and also writing it in a way i can read it again for later? also, is sketching litteraly all the scenes even a good idea or should i just cut back to two sketches of the most important dreamscenes (the ones that also makes the Dream Title) because at this moment in life i am slacking. falling asleep with my dreamjournal, by laying on my side, but i get cold quick in darker times and i have a bad back when i sit up straight to write the dream. i had lots of potential of crazy weird dreams and some of them a bit on the darker side, but still, i had the dream in my hands but then not wanting to write it down or fall asleep in the middle of recalling the dream, that dream is gone forgood and i'm frustrated. but still, i can be lucid once or two times a month i feel like. now its time to get better at writing my non lucid dreams and writing more beautifull.

I don’t feel tired. Any possible solutions? It just feels like I’m well rested, so my body doesn’t want to go back to sleep. • @LucidDreamPortal

    @LucidDreamPortal

    6 ай бұрын

    Getting up a little earlier would be a helpful strategy. But one important thing to remember is that what we call "tired" or "sleepy" is actually a build up of adenosine, which is cleared during sleep. But a lack of that sensation is not the same as not being able to return to sleep. In other words, don't judge if you can sleep based on the familiar feeling of high adenosine. Hopefully that makes sense.

  • @Kevin.jc1

    @LucidDreamPortal

    6 ай бұрын

    Oh definitely, we've all a lifetime of thinking of "sleepy" as a brain awash with adenosine. But that's only half the process of sleep, the other factor depends entirely on if there is more potential for sleep within your circadian cycle. Most importantly, try not to assess if you *can* fall asleep, as our judgment for this in the morning is pretty innacurate.

    Dream incubation is a tool that has been a part of dream exploration for most of recorded human history, we mustn't dismiss dream incubation just because the TikTok generation did their usual thing (borrow an old idea, give it a silly new name, pretend it's new and that they invented it, and add a bunch of wacko logic and nonsense). It's a mixed bag when it comes to results, for some people it's very effective, for others not. But the rise of the cult of reality shifting, we can see it leads to results for many. Oddly, dream incubation has been a religious concept before, so it's not surprising it has taken the same tone with todays scientifically illiterate types. Anyway, to answer your question, play with it, there are no hard rules. The trick is to tailor it for your own mind.

  • @LucidDreamPortal

    It varies on different factors. The time of day the even/thought occurred (mid evening seems to be a potent time), the potency of emotional elements, if there is some kind of unresolved question/issue, and if the brain has more important things to process. It varies a lot between individuals, but a general rule seems to be that if the brain deems something worthy of processing and consolidating, it tends to occur within two weeks - but it can be the same night. It's all a bit of a mystery - but the brain is complex!

This has happened every time I attempt the method, same with hypnogogia I realize I’m seeing visuals and they disappear. It’s motivating that I’m getting visuals at all, but how can I have a full lucid dream from this?

    I'll answer this briefly as I want to make a full video out of it. So the usual advice "stay calm" is half correct, but ideally what you want to do is absolutely minimise thoughts and emotions, and be absolutely apathetic. I'll explain more in a stream or video soon.

    @@LucidDreamPortal How many times should you review the script before going to sleep. Like is it sort of, the more you read it, the higher chance you have. Also, why do you say to set multiple times in the script where you realize your dreaming, when your dream would end as soon as you realize your dreaming

    Really looking forward to try this in the near future! But I do have two questions about the workings of it: 1) If you write in your script a specific moment where you reality test and realize it's all a deram, such as waking up in a fantasy land with a giant grape in place of a pillow and reality testing because you noticed the grape, will there be a chance that during the actual dream you'll be having, you'll only perform a reality test if you see giant grapes, or will the inclusion of any specific reality test situation increase your general likelihood of performing a reality test in a wider range of oddities? 2) Keeping in mind that the average length of a dream is around 5-15(ish) minutes, is it ok to write the script so that its plot will be around an hour if the resulting script will be fully played out, or do you have to account for the real average dream length while writing the script? Thanks for the video, and hopefully my wish-granting magical dream potato will make me lucid soon! 🥔🍠

    Hi Dimitry, the length of the script can be anything you like - the purpose of this process is really setting a highly motivated intention with structure. Of course, if your script is vastly longer than a period of REM then you'll not be able to achieve the goal. Instead try to keep things a length that is easy to recall, imagine, and be motivated about. The inclusion of reality checks is to concentrate the mind on that being a priority, but if done with the correct mindset then it should infuse the entire process. But that should be the mindset for all things in life, it's always a case of "any moment is a moment I could be dreaming". Hope that helps!
