• 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
• 1/4 Cup (I/2 Stick) Butter, Softened
• 1 1/2 - Cups Milk
• 2 Eggs, Beaten
• 1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt
FILLING
• 1 Stick Butter, Softened
• 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar, Packed
• 3 Tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
• Pinch of Salt
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
• 2 Cups Confectioner's (Powdered) Sugar
• 1 - 8oz Package Cream Cheese, Softened
• 1/4 Cup (I/2 Stick) Butter, Softened
• 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
• 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
• 1/3 Cup Half & Half
📝 Instructions:
• Combine 2 cups all-purpose flour, both packages of instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt to mixing bowl - Whisk until well combined
• Heat your milk and butter together in a microwavable safe bowl or in a pot on the stovetop until temperature reaches 110 - 130 degrees (Closer to 130 is best) DO NOT GO OVER 130 CAUSE THIS COULD KILL YOUR YEAST
• Add heated milk and butter mixture to dry ingredients then mix until well combined or no dry flour is visible
• Add the other 2 cups of all-purpose flour to bowl with mixed ingredients - Mix until well combined
• Add some flour to your kneading surface then knead dough for 5 minutes
• Add kneaded dough to an oiled bowl to rest for approximately 15 minutes, while preparing your filling
• Add packed brown sugar, cinnamon and salt to mixing bowl - Mix until well combined
• Roll out dough onto floured surface - Try to make a rectangle with your dough as even as possible
• Brush softened butter all over the rolled out dough, ensuring to cover the entire surface
• Top with cinnamon sugar mixture, ensuring to cover the entire surface
• Beginning with long side, roll up dough tightly jelly-roll style; Pinch seam to seal
• Cut dough log crosswise into 12 slices
• place roll slices (cut sides up) into greased 9x13in pan
• Turn oven on to 120 degrees, then turn off when oven gets to desired temp
• Cover rolls and let rise in the warm oven for about 30-60 minutes or until doubled in size
• After removing risen rolls from the oven, preheat oven to 350 degrees
• Bake for approximately 20-30 minutes or until golden brown on top
• While the rolls are in the oven, prepare your cream cheese frosting - Mix together cream cheese, confectioner's sugar, half & half, butter, vanilla, and salt
• Beat with electric mixer on low speed until all dry sugar is dissolved, then increase mixer speed to medium until frosting nice and smooth
• Spread frosting generously over warm cinnamon rolls

Yummmmm🥰 I like to pour some melted butter and brown sugar over the buns along with about a cup of heavy cream right before I actually bake them. I cover with tin foil till it’s almost done then remove to get the top good and brown

I love my cinnamon rolls just as you described! Whenever at an airport, I’ll search for a Cinnabon. Extra cream cheese. When you explained the correct temp for blooming yeast, I had to mention the importance of owning a cooking thermometer for anyone who is learning to cook or improve their cooking skills. It’s an essential cooking tool. Get in the habit of using one and you won’t waste your money on expensive cuts of meat, or know the disappointment when your dough won’t rise. Since getting a new stove and oven, nothing is turning out like it should and it was so embarrassing when having guests. I just figured all I needed to do was set the temp and press “go”. After using a separate oven thermometer, I found my oven is off by 75-100 degrees too low! Someone mentioned there’s a place to calibrate and adjust it, so now I need to look through the manual and check website to see how to do that. There are people who can tell the temp just by opening the oven. I’m not one of them. I’m just so grateful to be alive in a time with indoor plumbing, electric lights, refrigerators and especially air conditioning! cinnamon rolls exactly the way you described too.
