The Buffalo hump, Neck Hump, or Dowagers hump is common and aggravated by poor posture.
Thankfully, this hump is reversible using the right exercises.

I've literally only been doing 3 out of the 5 exercises for 3 days and my hubby and I have noticed a reduction in the hump. The most important thing is for me to watch my posture throughout the day. I was sore from correcting my posture so I'm positive it's working. Always making sure I'm squeezing my shoulder blades together, doing the "double chin" and tilting my pelvis slightly forward. It really works, but you've got to be diligent! Best of luck to you, and wishing you all the best!

Excellent! 👌🏻 Thank you so much! With the dowel exercises you can feel it in the moment! My brother is always teasing me about my hump and I didn't pay to much attention to it, but since my type of work has change I started getting pain there. I'm a really practical person so I hadn't found the right exercise but now I will definitely be doing this every day, except the one with the high chair because I don't have one.

Thanks so much for this, I only discovered this today to my horror when I saw my side profile in the mirror! Not sure if you have a video on this yet but if not can you do a video recommending the best way to sit at a computer to prevent a hump. I realize a chair with a good support is probably best but I struggle to sit with my back against a chair, what is the solution, lots of pillows etc to stop from leaning forward all the time. Any tip on always keeping back straight? I know my sister used to keep a tennis racket by her back but obviously this will look a bit weird going to work with a tennis racquet!

Does this help with fat loss in the buffalo hump or are these exercises for posture only?
Also if you have any tips on how to sleep on your back throughout the night without wanting to turn on your side it would be so great cause many women, myself included, start getting wrinkles by chest when we sleep on our side but I've tried to sleep on my back but it was not nice and I kept turning my head to side instead of whole body but then that squished face causing eye wrinkles. I know you are a chiropractor but if you have a good way of sleeping on back comfortably that would be so wonderful!
Hey! I'm 69. I've been practicing every day for 5 weeks Y W T L and 2 other exercices you gave . I feel easier to stand with a straight back, which was hurtful before. Do you think I can still change things and get a better position of my back ? Anyway a big thank you for your help!

Sometimes when I do similar excercises it triggers a bad headache. Is there anything I can do to prevent that?
Hello Dr. so I have costochondritis they say. My pain originated at my lovely dowagers hump back in October. By December anytime I laid down on my bed for longer than a half of an hour that dowagers hump area and my traps would start burning and tingling until I sat back up! The tingling has since stopped I’m not sure what made it stop but it’s no longer there. Occasionally my upper traps will feel tingly though. The pain/stiffness then went on to my ribs the following weeks and my chest. My scalene‘s are also jacked up and super tight especially on the right side not to mention my upper traps feel like they are constantly engaged! Do you happen to know whether or not the pain from that hump can also cause pain in the ribs a.k.a. costochondritis? One thing I also noticed was in the beginning when my scaling‘s were very tight and irritated the right side of my throat was also slightly swollen…
Can we do cervical soft collar along with these exercises
