An hour out with Enyo the ferret to catch some food for her cage mates. Hunting rabbits.
Enyo always promises a quick ferreting trip. She rarely lays up and when the going gets tough she will bail out. This is certainly not always suitable, especially for a pest control job in which the rabbits must be removed. But in a situation where the days remaining sunlight is short, she is the best choice.

These rabbits are collected for food, for my ferrets and people. This is a free range meat, that has lived a free life. These rabbits will be controlled even without me. By taking them myself, the meat is used. Ferreting is an environmentally friendly method of harvesting free range meat.

Enyo has grown up as a hunter, indeed, he's a beast.
I am a keen rabbiting man and love nothing more than working my ferrets and its nice to see such good videos of others also enjoying the sport.
great footage, like your ferret and nice to see someone with some hunting sense at last. Your in it for the enjoyment/sport and not to kill everything in sight, well done I hope you have many good seasons with your ferrets

Brilliant video man as always i dont know how you get such good footage please bring out loads more soon and if you cant since its breeding season can you show us your hutch etc equipment as im only coming into ferreting

The ferret showed a lot more aggression towards the rabbits in this vid....That's the way they should be.....not running around playing with them like the previous vid.

just started to watch videos, there was bigger hole...rabbit can defend itself...in this tiny whole it can`t

Have you noticed, do the ferrets seem to have an easier/harder time depending on the number of holes?

The ferrets may get more of a runaround yes, but then it may be better to use more than one ferret to counter that.

combatmn2005 Yeah there will be more for next season. Had caught a good few earlier that day anyway. Also not a big fan of gutting them when they are that far gone...

+YrielRazik Yes you can and if I catch a young rabbit the ferrets have injured that's what will happen. Ferreting while the rabbits are breeding isn't very productive as the small rabbits slip through the nets and mess them up. The ferrets also catch lots of young underground which means the ferreter has to do lots of digging for not much meat. Summer ferreting is almost purely for pest control.

Good videos but your to slow in some of your videos to get the rabbits speed is every thing in this game I know because I do it and have done for over 24 years I've not lost as many rabbits as you have but still your get them another day but good thou
It's good filming etc But sometimes in your videos I feel the rabbits suffer a bit too long just for the sake of getting a good video. Good work tho
My pet bunny killed a freakin cat that infiltrated his home. So I think he can also kill a ferret too. Chappie can beat the living shit out of your ferret. So that could happen with other bunnies so do you really want your fucking ferret to be killed by a rabbit. You really should bloody stop.
