Down Engineer Pass on a Fully Loaded GS

Me and my old GS made it up Engineer Pass during our Trans America Trail trip and now it's time to get off the mountain. I get lost once trying to find the route to Silverton, Colorado but all goes well after that. My next challenge? Ophir Pass.
I hope you enjoy this video and subscribe to join me on the rest of the TAT and on to Africa!

When you see a Volvo up there, suddenly it's not as remote as you thought. It was like a family outing when I went, lol thanks really enjoying your content.

Right on Ray....this bike gets a lot of attention for it's classic looks in the US...here in Africa, I can't go anywhere without being the center of attention...I don't like that so much but I love this bike. Thanks watching and I'm glad you enjoyed this one!

Excellent work! I've been contemplating doing these high passes on my Tiger 1200, but wondering if it'd be too big and unwieldy. Seeing you do it on an old GSA is very confidence-inspiring :)

Thanks Aaron! I'm glad my videos give you confidence to get your Tiger up there...it'll be fine...just check the weather the night before, start when the sun comes up to avoid traffic...and remember, someone will always help you pick up your bike it you drop it in an awkward location. Enjoy and thanks again!

Hahahaha, yes I could have used a beer... especially later that day when I realized that I had lost a ton of GoPro footage from dropping two SD cards back on Marshall Pass. Those videos are still to come. Thanks for watching and the kind words T!

    Did you drop it any?

  • @lkandlbinder

Hi David, I did not drop it on either of the Colorado passes I did (Engineer and Ophir). I did however drop it a few times on the Trans America Trail. I dropped it in water (watch my Water Crossing from Hell video for evidence), on a slimy concrete water crossing in Oklahoma I believe, and once pulling into a gas station exhausted...and I had to drag it under a locked gate once...that video will be coming in two weeks. I hope you enjoyed this one and thanks for watching!
