Thanks so much for these videos! This channel has helped me so much along these past 4 years when it comes to producing and editing my own vocals. I always listened to the living weirdo covers since 2013. I currently am working on something really special to be released in October! A debut EP and it would not be possible without his vocal chains and mastering chains. A true Godsend

Buy that $1000 preamp and a $300 mic fellas as you getting started out. Not the other way around. If you are a budget artist, prioritize a professional preamp and good interface first. I have the U87 & Wa8000 (two great mics), and I mix records self-recorded by other artists on $200-$300 mics that sounds great and compatible enough for HQ records. Hope it helps.

@@yggbeats5759 I'm not familiar with some of that gear, but I upgraded to a UAD Volt interface from an old Focusrite recently and love the switch! But if your Focusrite is newer, I still suggest getting a separate analog preamp and bypass the preamp of your interface to get the best bang for buck. Lastly, if you are impressed by the Wa87 reviews I say go for it. Although, there are lots of good mic options in the ~600 price range.
