Great video!! What ever happen to Candy Land?? Art's car.. I rode in that car many times :) then kick to the curb, cause I was consider jail bait.. lol
good video
"Peaches and Cream" was Art's Valadez car, 64" Impala. Art's " Candyland was short lived" He also named his ride "candies and hughes". We used to ride together and when asked about this last car's name by girls at the blvd., he would yell out, " I am candies and he is hughes". Art and I had 64's, his an impala and mine an Impala ss. I took over the name of Peaches and cream in 1970 for my other car a 62 impala. Art was my best friend, Jesse was always too quiet and always tried to keep both of us in check. Gil's upholstery shop was a good place to work for. I was a skinny roudy, kick ass and take names kind of member not to mess with and Art was my best friend. I always thought that I gave the club a little credibility and respect from other clubs as not to be known as only just a custom paint jobs kind of car club but a well rounded club. If you are really an old member ask what happened in La Habra, the police caravan escort and the sweet inspirations girls club party that happened Saturday night. La Habra " the camp" dudes I know remember it. I am impressed by your family Jessie (RIP), good job my old friend. a litle nostalgia always helps. :)
rip Jesse

Lynn Stinnett I met Jesse Valadez Jr. and saw gypsy rose, I asked what had happened to the 63 impala and he told me it was involved in an accident.

He sold it to "Indio" aka Warhorse, Indio repainted it and it became "Chinas Dream". Indio was also known as "Warhorse" he was a really mellow club member He worked for a time at Gil Valadez' upholstery shop.

Wrong, that is a lie. I was at the party where the '63 was damaged, I was a member of the Imperials at the time. (1970) and that was my girlfriend's house where it happened. It had nothing to do with New Wave but El Campo Barrio in La Habra. That is a fact.
