As a Socal'er, to any person outside of California, or South-Western US, I'd like to give my insight over my 30 years of living along side our Latino/Latina neighbors and friends. The Hispanic people are the most open, caring and approachable out of our melting pot of a country. It's 100% correct that if you approach them with respect, you'll get it back and more. I'm German descent, and I understand the pride they have for their culture, but they're happy to be here, and raise their families here. I'm glad to have them as neighbors and friends.

They always put Mexican flags, Aztec murals, Mexican flag blankets, Mexican toys or anything that’s from they Mexican ethnicity into lowriders. This will never make it only a Chicano / Mexican thang or change where lowrider originated from which is West Coast - California. Lowrider is for every race not only Chicano. - FACTS !!!

Yeah, but those were stereotypical characteristics that were created and adopted by your own culture. Hispanics played the victim card like a violin to get free education, handouts and take jobs from folks who were greatly more qualified. Don't worry, you'll land the job you want even though someone more qualified deserves it. You guys are set now. And when you suck at that job and others have to fix your mistakes, they won't fire you because they'll fear you'll use the discrimination card. My cousin was employed at Boeing as an electrical engineer and left for Airbus because of what I just told you. He made the mistake of learning Spanish and got stuck supervising the Hispanic engineers. He explained to me that they didn't keep the Hispanic engineers because they were qualified, Boeing kept them for the sake of diversity. He also said his title of Supervisor was misleading. He was just there to correct the work of so called Hispanic engineers that were there 2 to 5 yrs. It was his first job right out of university. A white kid.

Nothing is male dominated. Women just have to put in more effort, and be outspoken when they know the industry you are talking about (i see this term overused in every industry I work in, tech and weed now and its untrue and I can prove it) You just dont see females trying to dominate industry or make business moves like men do because men are the breadwinners and competitive types.

Old School LA will never Die, I'm glad that the youngsters are holding on and taking over this beautiful culture. We are a rare breed that bleed just like you, it's a hard knock life growing up in the streets, we keep it going by fighting for our needs, it's not easy but really what is, we embrace what god has given to us, if you try to taketh away, we will not let you, we work too damn hard to get what we got and ain't nobody gonna try and stop us from exceeding excelling succeeding and accomplishing whatever it is we want for our future, family, and culture. God bless to all the cholas and cholos who do what they need to do to survive. I could only hope for the violence against each other, neighborhoods and territories to stop and hope that one day, we can all come together as one and get over who runs who and what and have a sick ass huge party and nothing but good times. And the world will see who we really are, good people doing the best we can to keep our culture alive well safe and successful. Mexican ppl are the chillest, most easy going people on this planet. Even if you don’t speak Spanish and vice versa, they will offer you a taco or a horchata to drink just for visiting. Half my in laws don’t speak English but I have never felt out of place around them. I spent a month in Leon, Guanajuato in 2015 for Christmas and that was awesome. This is awesome. It’s like they cringe a bit at you at first, but then realize how open you are and not making fun, just honestly curious, and they get cool with you real quick. It’s great to see the kindness from you to them, and how welcoming they are with you. Great videos my dude.

I used to think where i live was cool but damn after seeing peter’s south cali videos i think where I live is boring as hell. Im from Vancouver, Canada and we definitely do NOT have a warm culture like this. After watching this video i just want to walk down this street and talk for hours with the people that built their cars and hear their stories. These cars are absolute classics and most of these folks build them from the ground up, as a car enthusiast myself, all these amazing people have my 100% respect. Thank you for showing the world how beautiful all these cultures are.

Thank you for this video. As a first generation Mexican American, I had a few Tia y Tio that would embrace this culture and I also embraced when I was young ,but as a I got older, I was always stereotyped as a gang member/uneducated/violent/ghetoo etc which made me distance from the Chicano culture. This video seeing the female engineer in her chicana style really put a smile on my face, that I should have never listen to other people's thoughts about my culture. At the age of 27, that works in the operating room, I will start embracing my chicana heritage. Going to start getting some outfits now and gotta find me some hoops lol. Thank you for this video. Made me feel like a kid again going to cat shows with my family. Viva mexico y ameica siempre 🇺🇸❤️🇲🇽

I've always stereotyped Chicano(a) culture to be associated with gang culture, but it was good to hear from a woman who loves the scene but has a professional life as well. That also came from not being educated, but this video is a great representation. So many difference people and dynamics of the culture.
