    fun fact, people used to do this with circle of healing when it came out Whenever a self healing perk comes out, just believe that, if possible, the stronger effect will alwasys overwrite other perks

    It's for the best that they don't stack, because technically they both lower the speed of the healing action. If they stacked, Self-Care would probably just make Strength in Shadows slower. I was curious about it, though. Thanks for sharing! Have you (or anyone else) experimented with how Unforeseen interacts with Trail of Torment? My expectation is that Trail of Torment overrides Unforeseen until the generator is touched, and then the killer's terror radius moves to the generator at that moment (as long as Unforeseen's 30 seconds has not elapsed). Then, I expect Unforeseen would behave normally on any subsequently affected gen while Trail is on cooldown. Does that sound like something you'd like to test next?

    I use both. Unforeseen is like Dark Devotion. It does not matter whether you are - or become - undetectable by any other means, the fake terror radius will always be set.

    its just as bad as self care, just placebo. just because its 70% instead of 35% doesn't mean its better, people forget to add the time it takes to get to the basement. much more powerful to be able to heal anywhere you want

    @@ByAzuraByAzuraByAzura if you are good enough a brown medkit is all you need, you rarely need more then one solo heal per game. Ether that or revolve a build around selfcare, some examples are sc/botany/empathy/mettle or sc/botany/desperate/resilience but its more for having fun and just not optimal unless ur using sc/bot with 2 other perks then it can be great and you can make it work.

    Very simple answer, without watching video: Remember when boon circle of healing was here? Yeah... self care and that didn't stack, it used whichever was higher. The reason from programming prespective is i believe that each type of healing is a different object, like "Self care heal" etc. and basically if one is higher than another then that is prioritised.

  • @satirical_snake

    @satirical_snake

    @@Andrekenz It didn't. Nothing that grants self-healing stacks with self-care because its a separate action, which is why the game puts it in paratheses. It would need to specify that it increases healing speed. An analogy would be, you might own two cars but you can't drive them both at once, no matter how fast they can go.

    self care with bontancy is extremely strong anywhere on the map you can heal!. self care is only bad due to all the baddies that use it, every single time they get injured they just heal. you should only be healing yourself 2 or 3 times at most in a match. THANK GOD! they don't stack that would be terrible and extremely unbalanced for m1 killers. literally you would go botancy, self care and strength shadows and whatever escape perk like overcome or dh after that. you would be healing way to fast while the killers chases take longer. it would be circle of healing all over again in this game.

    Strength in shadows is good but it means needing to use the Basement which is very map dependant, the only thing the perk does is give a buff to territorial imperative which killers don't use anyway unless you are Bubba. Plus the basement as a rule is very killer sided, so this perk is still niche but its nice to have a perk that plays around the basement. I hope that in future maybe we can get other invocations to make the basement a valuable objective.

    I don't think it works like that. They don't reduce your healing speed but instead allow you to heal at a reduced speed that is why they don't stack.
