Keep your head straight and move your eyes around ( left & right, up & down, diagonally, etc. ) for a few mins

Move your head left to right/ up to down/ across diagonally while looking at the same object, the goal is to get the widest range you can. 4 minutes BREAK: blink 30 seconds 4. Yes, I also used to do eye exercises. By the grace of Almighty, my eye power came down to -1.0 (Left), -0.75 (Right) from approx. -2.5 (Left), -2.25 (Right) in last 2-3 years! Edit: I also did cupping/ hijama for acne problems at that time. Cupping points were on top of the head (aligned to the spinal cord), the back side of the head, the neck, back, etc. Alhamdulillah, my 4-5 years pimples got cured after 3/4 sessions within 4 weeks, also avoided junk, oily foods at that time. After these cupping sessions, my eyesight also improved. Also did the eye exercises at that time!

    Another helpful exercise to add to the routine is to walk through focal lengths, near to far and back. This helps to keep the len flexible. I normally do this part while commuting, it basically involves picking something near to focus on (top of the steering wheel), then step out the focus distance, the dashboard, the car in front of you, signs further down the road, then the furthest thing you can see, then step back down to the steering wheel and repeat. If I'm not driving, then I'll start with my fingertip as close to my face as I can bring it without blur and then step out to the furthest thing I can see and repeat.

    I think he meant if you cut out all the things to deteriorate your vision: blue light from phone, less screen time, giving eyes rest every 20 min when focusing on something by looking far away or other exercises, basically reducing as much as you can of such things. But you're right, you should at the very least do eye exercises 1x every 2 days for a few min since it's hard to avoid screens all the time.

    Excellent 👍. One more exercise helps...take a pen and hold it far straight horizontally at eye level. Concentrate on the tip of pen and slowly move it towards the eye. Keep concentrating and when the pen comes close to eye, start moving it away and keep concentrating. Do this exercise 2-3 times everyday as per duration of your comfort. Slowly increase the duration. You will see the miracle for sure in 3 months. To make it more effective eat lots of vegetables and stay away from junk food. My optician recommended this to me, so all credits to him only.

    I have kind of a really bad eye genetics running on both sides of my family, so I started wearing glasses when I was around 11-12 y.o., with -1,5 on both eyes. I was an active kid, so until 17 it only lowered to -3. But with the first year at the university, it deteriorated unbelivably fast, so by the time I was almost 19, I got -9 on my both eyes, it was catastrofic and I decided to get rid of any bad habbits, that were not good for my eyes and tried seriously doing eye exercises for a prolonged period of time. I dedicatedly did exercises for about half of the year and felt like my glasses didn't fit my eyesight anymore, I was afraid I kept losing my eyesight and needed stronger lenses, so I went to my optometrist for the unscheduled check. But both me and my doctor were shocked by the results: my eyes came down better to -7 and -6,5! My optometrist was thrilled and even offered me -5 lenses, in hopes, that it will be a stimulus for my eyes to get even better, but it was too much xD So this deffinetly works. I'm 33 years old now. I got sucked in life, work, family matters and so on and got a bit lazy to keep doing exercises deligently. I just do them from time to time. I work with the computer, sitting all day long doesn't help either. So my eyesight worsened a bit through the years, but it's kind of stable at the -8\-7,5 point. So, thank you for this reminder to start all over again and take care of myself. I'll try not to slack off and exercise every day from now on! :D

    There is a method called Myopic Defocus, you put a reading glasses (range between+1.0 to +2.5) on the top of your distance glasses for all close-up activities, with a lots of breaks to remove all of glasses from your face. You can do it with contact lenses, but you will need drop some eyedrops basically all the time, so glasses is much easier to remove from your face. In some weeks, many people report an improvement.

After learning about eye exercises I was able to strengthen my eyes, which helped to focus on this and read better. You can also get a little white rope with beads, tie one end to like a cabinet handle and hold the other end to your nose. Then stare at the bead and take the x that forms up and down the rope with your vision.

    Also it is important to know that there is monocular (single eye) vision and binocular (both eyes) vision. Some people might benefit by patching an eye (occlussion) and biasing the work towards the weaker eye first, before you make both eyes work together. Some people might also find that one eye tries to overwrite the other (usually stronger overwrites weaker) and for that there is multiple tools that can help. This is just the tip of the iceberg as your eyes and vision are comprised of multiple muscles and areas of the brain. So there is countless other vision exercises that can help fix the specifics of different deficits.

Padula Square (its a chart with a cube in the middle in two colors and letter fonts) for assisting foveal and enviromental (peripheral vision) Saccade Charts where you have to jump your eyes between two vertical charts with letters, you work yourself to smaller and smaller fonts. (you can easily make this one yourself) Color glasses (you do have to test against maybe a snellen chart to figure out if any color assists) I test blue, green, yellow, rose, orange, red. Letter ball used for dynamic vision, it is basically a ball with letters written on it. You toss the ball in the air and you call the first letter you see before it reaches your hand. You start with low speed and low tosses, as you get better, you progress the speed. Strobbe goggles, there is a portion of vision that has to do with prediction. Strobbes block some vision (at different speeds) as you try to produce an outcome. Either reading a chart, letterball, mirroring someone doing an action, or even trying to hold balance or walking. I would consider this an advance drill, not to mention this is an expensive tool. I hope this helps

    Been doing eye exercises like so for years; Dr was surprised my vision improved better than 2020 !… I asked, could be the eye exercises?? he said, unaware of research regarding. Also noticed one eye sees more warm hues, the other sees more cool hues… and able to see colors that others in the office were not able to see; Everyone blown away. Crazy insane to me. Thanks for sharing video.

Also vitamin D that eyes need cannot travel through glass.

I do like the immediate improvement though and will try do a bit more active movements throughout the days and see how things goes. I read a book about eye exercises in my early 20s when my vision was horrible, I always had to wear glasses and I was getting constant eye strain headaches. I started doing the 'palming' method of eye exercises and there was improvement within about a month, a year later I only needed to wear my glasses when in shopping centres or places with big crowds and lots of faces around me, but now - in my 40s I haven't worn glasses in years and if I find my vision is starting to slip I just increase the amount of eye exercises I do until my vision is 'good' again. I understand that this won't work for all eye issues but it DEFINATELY has improved and maintained my eyesight for the last 20 years. BTW I've only ever done 'palming' exercises.

    I've had variations of up to -0.25 between two tests in the past, so your 30 day result could also just be a measuring mistake - after all, these tests rely entirely on you saying when you see better and when worse when asked by the doctor. But I've heard of these exercises and glasses before, so I guess there must be something in it.

    Here in Germany (guy did the test at a German optician) they usually double check with a vision chart made up of circles where one has to determine where the tiny opening is. So they kinda adjust the measurement accordingly. But some variation of ~0.25 can probably still occur based on whether your eyes are tired/ "warmed up" etc. I guess.

  • @charli4815

    @charli4815

    the thing is 0.25 is the smallest you can messure. this has something to do with our eyes and basic optic physics. i learn that in my physics study very early on and i was pissed. since i have glasses my own and everytime i go check my eyes they are 0.25 worse. and here comes the point. the people checking your eyes dont know this since they never been taught. this means i always did get new glasses with more zoomies and my eyes get more and more lazy. i went from -2.5 to -4.5 this way. that is why i decided to dont do any tests anymore. since then my eyes never did get worse. funny huh? so pls be patient and make some doubled to check. AND VERY IMPORTANT: go in the early morning since eyes gat exhausted over the day and this will give bad results. i am also german and i never get double checked...

    @@charli4815 Crazy. I agree with you. My optio said that you should have -0.5 weaker prescription so your eye doesn't get lazy and works. So if you're -0.5 you should not wear glasses, if you're say -2, you should have -1.5 glasses etc... People who eyes go worsen with glasses are those who ear a 1:1 ratio perspective or just like wha tyou mentioned. Ironically, I read that your eyes could get better as you get older and reduce myopia by a lot because of "RELXATION", which is super confusing. Can I not relax my eyes right now to see better? By say 0.75? Optio won't answer because they are book knowledge and yeah, it almost feels like this industry is... zombie industry. I mean, I bet a cure could have been made if they didn't block everyone xd if you know what I mean. I actually had -0.5 in my right eye since 14years old, but I didn't really remember this, I though I had 20/20 untilll 8ears later I go to optio to check eyes and he reminded me about it.. and told me I need glasses. And I'm like wtf. I see 20/20 how the f I need glasses. Literally the initial -0.5 change is almost non existent IME. You'd be able to see pretty much everything, even on te chart as I was seeing everything in the chart too. I got now -1.5 give or take, right yeye weker because I sat in dark and when my eyeshurted, I would cover it with my hands, and hold my other eye open with my fingers... stupid asf, did this last year. I had 20/20 since last year for fuck sake...one stupid mistake. My eyesight doens't seem to be getting worse either. Just one damn mistake. @@charli4815this is nonsense. When you go from -2.5 to -4.5 where only -2.5 is needed your eyes cannot become more lazy but they have to work much more. Imagine, your eyes do not need glasses at all. When you look at something very far away, the muscle around your lense is completely relaxed. It needs nothing to do. The nearer things are you look at, the more the muscle must contract to give another shape to the lense until thing too near and the muscle is at its maximum contraction. If you do not need glasses but you wear -2.0 glasses anyway, your muscle needs to contract to correct those -2.0. So no relaxed state anymore. And when things come nearer, it has to do more and it reaches its maximum earlier. The same happens when you need glasses. The glasses are needed when the eye ball size does not fit so good to the lens etc., which is normal since it is a variation of nature. The 100% vision level is a statistical average. So when you need -2.5 and you get -4.5 there is the same -2.0 difference causing the same effect, which means, your eyes have to work more and you will get problems at the reading distance where the muscle must contract a lot. But when you are very young you may not notice it, since your lens is still very flexible and your eyes can focus to very short distances you almost never need in every day life. But I wonder why somebody should give you -4.5 when -2.5 does the job. If it went there step by step while you were young (younger than about 25), it may be a growth issue. A friend of mine, who had a similar problem (needed stronger glasses for reading than expected) had been sent by the optician to a doctor since the cause can be diabetes. And the optician was correct.

  • @ThomasVWorm

    @ThomasVWorm

    7 ай бұрын

    0.25 is the minimal step an optician can choose between. So even both glasses can be ok, when you a right in the middle between those two, which mean, you can have two tests and two results. You also notice it yourself, when you are asked, what is better between the two and it is hard to see a difference. And then, as already being said, it depends upon what you say and how you feel in the test.

My own myopia, (-5D), was similarly cured when I eventually needed cataract surgery by fitting suitable plastic lenses to give normal vision. I can confirm that this works. Long time ago I read a book from " William H. Bates" on this matter and adopted some excersizes. One that gives me best and fastest results was: stand infromt of window, chose some nice, clear distant poin (I use large antenna on next building), then put a small patch of clear, see through tape on your window and use marker to draw dot on it. Now use this point to easy switch focus between window and distant antenna. Do it untill feel discomfort then close eyes for few seconds, move head left right to relax muscless then open and repeat. I recomment to do it several times during a day. There are some others that I use but its a bit hard to explain... Cheers!

Honestly they helped me relax my eyes I also put some zamzam water in my eyes in the last step and my eyes were less dry. It’s been some days and I don’t know why I kind of crave this exercise. I will be starting again and doing for a complete month this time and then check with my doctor to see improvements. But yeah it does help a quite lot with blepharospasms.

    I would add movement of head when moving eyes. So move eyes to right, and when near the edge you'll feel sort of a pull in your head to follow where the eyes go. So it's for to train that reflex, go right, left, up and down

    Good exercises, thank you for sharing! - I practise another one: With one hand cover one eye (without pressure). Next put a finger very close in front of the other eye (e.g. 5cm). Find a target far away that is in the same sight line (a tree, a traffic light, a window...). Without moving neither the eye nor the finger change the focus every 10 to 15 secs and focus the (close-up) finger, then the object that is far away. Do this 20x, then repeat with the other eye.

    Good exercises, good tips. As for pinhole glasses, they purpose is to reduce the amount of light that is comming into one's eyes. Nothing more. They block peripheral vision, and it's impractical to use them outside of controlled environment! Only practical use of pinhole glasses is to faster diagnose some eye sight problems and diseades such astigmatism or myopia. Pinhole glasses may help for people that have presbyopia, but they can do it without glasses too (by squinting). And be aware that your video covering improving eyesight from negative dioptus! Aging does the same thing (moving dioptus slightly to the "positive side"), so make sure it's from exercise, and not from aging!

    Optician here. I wanted to make some points about misconceptions in the comments. Eye exercises DO work. Just how much you improve depends on a lot of factors. What exercises you need can best be determined by an orthoptician which is basically a specialised eyedoctor for binocular vision/ training. Exhausting your eyes (being ill, doing close-up work without resting,...) makes for weaker eyes needing more power. Eye tests done are mostly done via a set routine, however are entirely subjective. A difference of .25 is the smallest difference we can change and is barely noticable for most. Not every person measuring will make the same decision, but double checking should happen with every measurement. Your state of mind can alter your vision. Being relaxed, intoxicated, pregnant, you name it, can and will affect the necessary power for 20/20 vision. Another myth is that wearing correct glasses makes your eyes weaker. Wearing the wrong power however, can make your eyesight worse. I suspect this is because loads of people wear wrong prescriptions, or use them (and their eyes) in the wrong ways. Another part is consumerism. An optician 's business is selling you glasses. Not everyone is honest about you not actually needing new glasses. Lastly: Pinhole glasses do work. They do this by reducing incident light to a single beam. This beam focusses more tightly on the retina, producing sharper images with lower brightness. This is also why people with very small pupils will generally see better in light conditions.

    my myopia is 4.5 in both eyes If I didn't wear glasses, will it cure myopia? And should I need to wear the glasses while doing this exercise?

  • @sn0wblind133

    @sn0wblind133

    8 ай бұрын

    @@Suriya688 @ -4.5 your eyes will be too long (axial length) , or the power of your total refractive system is too high. No amount of training will make you see a lot better. It can however, alleviate other problems related to vision like coordination, binocular performance, etc. You have to look at an eye as having reserves. It can do certain things without training quite well. It's a bit like a range of motion. For example, If you are stuck in a job that requires you to do very little difficult tasks, you will not increase your proficiency at more difficult tasks (lifting an empty box won't help you lifting heavy boxes). If you challenge yourself by lifting the heaviest box around from time to time, this will increase your strength and ability to lift lighter boxes. The same is true for your vision. Challenge it, and you get rewarded. To get back at your question: you should keep wearing correct visual aids. There's nothing wrong with taking them off from time to time. People do this all the time for real close up work with a - 4.5. It'll be easier. For exercises, you can wear glasses or not, doesn't matter a ton. As long as what you're focussing on is in focus, which I suspect won't be the case with your - 4.5. Tldr; wear correct visual aids, look after your eyes, and challenge yourself from time to time!

  • @sn0wblind133

    @sn0wblind133

    @@ZAIDEDITZ as mentioned above, you cannot "cure" myopia. You can only reduce. Up until adulthood your body is still growing, and your eyes as well. The theory goes that if your eyes get a blurry image input, your body responds by lengthening the eye, Since cells can only grow to be healthy and not decrease in size. Sometimes eyes keep growing but that's a whole other story. You should wear your glasses if you feel you need to. Hope that helps!
