The reason they say to primer it is so it will stick and last as long as possible. Most bedliners have a hard time sticking to bare metal. Get yourself a cup brush much easier than sanding

you inspired me to go to diesel school at 16 and i’m currently having the time of my life at diesel school and learning so much

I did 12 bottles of raptor on my C10 Square body Long bed and have had zero issues in the 5 years of abuse it has sustained.

Why do people have to complain about price and time be proud of what you do yes it is worth every bit of it of doing it yourself you get the joy of it

I just sprayed my raptor liner mixed with fords sunset metallic color on Saturday and I must say is pretty bad ass…and stupid easy to do…thanks Ryan for showcasing this for us…I’m very pleased with the out come

Wire edge tape is always a good idea with bed-liners. Takes the risk away when pulling the tape off.

Love mine bro it’s pretty cool being able to do different colors and it is still useable as well

You do this a lot in ur channel I suggest buying super cheap bed sheet to cover everything since you don’t use venting booths

I like it. I was gonna say it sprayed on bright. Thinking about it you should of sprayed it black first, I think the finished result would look better in detail. On the next one try black and mist the top coat with a bright accent color.

Lacey Blair used this type of like abrasive wheel on a angle grinder. Looked like one of those cupped wire wheel but it didn’t have steel wire. Probably would get the contours of the bed much easier and a lot faster

Primer just gives it a good foundation to attach too and gives a even colour

The primer is for bare metal adhesion. Raptor doesn’t have a acid etch in it so it doesn’t adhere well to bare metal. Looks good though

Risk…if you haven’t already, Riffraff diesel is a great source for OEM motorcraft parts such as the IPR and ICP sensor…and relatively quick. Just an fyi…take care and God bless…David.

I’ll admit this colored bedliner is *less* cursed than the one on the banana ram, I think probably because it just accents better. I’m still on the fence about the whole thing and I still think it might be cursed, but this is less of an atrocity than the red bedliner in the banana ram 100%. I’m curious how it holds over years, I’ve seen a lot of these that pill, not peel but pill, rub your hand on it and it turns your hand black, I could see these colored bedliners doing that fairly easy.

What about a hood stack the same color as the bed liner

I like the raptor liner, looks like you melted a kiddie pool from walmart into your bed though.

I love my raptor liner, but everywhere that I had to prime, the liner has chipped off, so now I have to buy another kit and shoot it again. This accent color turned out perfect for this project!

You have to sand the primer or it won't stick, I had the same issue. I found that the dark gray scotch bright pads worked well.

I had that same problem. I used self etching and that seemed to be my problem but I know for next time not to do that
